This Roleplay contest is for the youngest daughter in Sir Atreyu and Arwen's breeding.
Open:: May 10th, 2008 @ 4:30 PM ~ Closes:: May 17th, 2008 @ 6 PM
The winner of this RP contest does not have to pay the flatsale price for the infant because I will cover it myself. When the winner is picked and their form filled out, I’ll send the trade when they post the form for Wolfie.
Rules: - Follow all ToS and Shop Rules - Leave any and all drama at the door - All entries are due by May 17th @ 6 PM EST - Only one entry per person, please no mules - You can edit your entry of spelling and grammatical errors up until the closing date of the contest but please, don't edit after the closing date and trust me, I'll know if you do - Have fun and be creative ^___^ - If you've read this entire first post, put Mountain Dew somewhere in your entry
Name Condition - Honestly, you can name the pup whatever you like but please try and stay away from names like “Mittens” or “Boots”. Since Arwen didn’t name them, that job would technically fall on Atreyu (though it's kind of weird to think he named his son Mordred >_<) and he’s one of those imaginative types. It would be interesting to see some names from Arthurian Legend, names from the Lord of the Rings, or even elvish names but other creative names are welcomed as well ^__^
RP Condition – Moonlit Shadow wolves are not roleplay required but I would love to have a chance to at least rp with the owner chosen for the pup a few times (probably just a family roleplay) but if the owner wants, the pup could have an active role as a princess in the Knights of the Round Food Bowl roleplay.

~~ Meet the Puppies ~~ ** The pup featured in this contest is the top female that is primarily purple with red paws and green spots** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Basic Background Story –
During Atreyu’s younger days of denying who he really was, he was quite the Casanova and heart breaker (very unknightly behavior but no one needs to know that :ninjur: ) One such encounter with a young female in his pack proved to leave three small puppies as the product. After raising the nameless puppies on her own in the woods for the first few weeks of their life, Arwen returned back to the house with her little followers. She thought that she could have the perfect relationship with the father of her children and they could be a happy family but low and behold, she comes back to Atreyu in a very permanent relationship with Dagger and definitely surprised to see that he was a father. Probably more heartbroken than upset, Arwen pushed the puppies forward to their father and fled back to the woods.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meet the Happy Family –
The Mother:: Arwen is the daughter of Aubrey and Nightflame. She’s high spirited, determined, has no fear and is probably considered a very mysterious wolf. She does have slight psychic abilities but they are not remarkably strong. This could be passed down to one of her daughters. Something that may be passed down as well to one of these pups is the likelihood of losing their sight later in life as Arwen’s father is completely blind and Arwen has now lost her sight in her left eye.
The Father:: Atreyu is the son of Suki and Neon. He is a rebel leader, wise beyond his own years, determined, very trusting towards others and loyal. At a very young age, he created the Knights of the Round Food Bowl (very much like Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table) and with his knightly family; they protect the house and shop from any evil or wrong doing.
The Step-Father:: Dagger understands the actions Atreyu made before he committed himself to their relationship and will more than likely accept the children as his own. Dagger really doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.
The Adopted Older Sister:: Truth is more of Dagger’s daughter than Atreyu but she still is “family”. She speaks Spanish randomly in conversation and she’s very small despite her age. She’s clingy towards Dagger and Atreyu and does not like the idea that she has to “share” her fathers with these new puppies.
The Oldest Brother:: Mordred is the oldest of the three puppies and he absolutely hates his father. His true motives are unclear as of now but so far, he has announced that he aims to make his father’s life difficult as much as he possibly can. He’s cynical yet there are times when he can get excited and happy and will show a hint of compassion towards his siblings. He isn’t entirely an evil wolf but then again, he isn’t a wholly good one either.
The Middle Sister:: Lessandria is a very delicate and gentle young girl who enjoys being around her siblings though, she does not like Mordred that much because she is loyal to her father and the other knights. Strangely, Lessandria takes after her mother in a lot of ways and is high spirited and has trouble following rules.
You can do either one of these prompts if you wish but please don’t go way overboard with length. I love reading but I also have finals coming up so I’ll say that one and a half pages in Microsoft word at 12pt font is probably a pretty good max but if, for some reason you go over that, don’t worry about it that much unless you hit like 5 pages and then we'll have to talk about editing it down xD You have my permission to use Atreyu, Arwen, the pups siblings or Dagger if you need to for your response or have them interact with any of your own moonlits. And don’t worry, I’m not looking at how close you roleplay any of my characters to their personalities or how you roleplay your own moonlits but how you roleplay the puppy.
~~ Prompt A ~~ Arwen left you to be handled by your father and your new “mother” and disappeared for her own personal reasons. You’ve just discovered she has no intentions of coming back for you or your siblings but, while out wondering the common room one day, you spot her conversing with a few other wolves. How do you feel about her sudden reappearance back into your life? Are you angry? Are you upset? Will you confront her? Roleplay as if the pup is in her final, adult stage.
~~ Prompt B ~~ Lessandria knows very well that your father has forbid any of you from going outside without any supervision but she is determined to get out there and explore the world and you just so happen to be the pup she’s going to drag along for the adventure even if you don’t want to go. Describe your reaction. Do you stand up for yourself or do you follow her (and if you follow her, describe your adventure outside and perhaps, whatever repercussions may follow for disobeying your father).
~~ Prompt C ~~ With Mordred as the heir to the sitting room throne, he feels that that gives him the power to boss you and your sister around whenever he wants. You somehow are curious about your older brother and his motives. One day, he declares that he will cause a little chaos for your father Atreyu. Lessandria freaks out but how do you react? Do you decide to help him or do you seek out your father to warn him of your brother’s intentions? Be creative, these are only a few suggestions to actions that the little pup can take.Le Form Username:: (That’s easy enough xD) Name for Female:: (What shall this little pup be called) Meaning of Name:: (What does the name you chose mean or did you make it up) Basic Personality Outline:: (Just give a few character traits that the pup should have ie. Mordred = cynical, deceiving, strange, mysterious) Prompt Response::
Username:: Gaelach_Buachaill (That’s easy enough xD) Name for Female:: Llewellyn (What shall this little pup be called) Meaning of Name:: A famous Celtic artists(What does the name you chose mean or did you make it up) Basic Personality Outline:: A happy, go-lucky pup with a carefree aura, but has had a lot of stress lately.(Just give a few character traits that the pup should have ie. Mordred = cynical, deceiving, strange, mysterious ((Mountain Dew))) Prompt Response:: Prompt A
Llewellyn walked out of the sitting room, to get away from the chatter of the knights. She was looking for her best freind, Emerald, and her mate, Lucky. She was the only one of her siblings who occasionaly wandered out of the Sitting room. She turned the corner and almost ran into Emerald. "Hello." She said, the stress echoing in her voice. It had been another hard week, after her siblings harping on her about how little she did to help, and her constant trips away from the Sitting room. "Oh, Llewellyn." Emerald said, her soft voice releasing any stress and tension in her companion. "Sounds like it's been another stressful week, hasn't it?" She said, always glum to see her friend in such a state. "Aye. My siblings have been on me about going outside the coomon room, and how little I do to help the knights." she said, a little bit of the stress releasing from her voice. Her chats with Emerald always seemed to releave her of the almost constant stress put on her. "Lets take a walk. It'll help." Emerald said, getting up. She placed her flute in a specail pouch inside her cloak. "Alright." Llewellyn said, also standing. They walked down the hallway and into the common room. Llewellyn saw a moonlit she thought she would never see again in her life, her real mother. Arwen sat in the sitting room, talking with a pink anthro named Cupid. They were just chatting when she heard another moonlit come into the room. She looked to see who it was and received a shock, her daughter. She hadn't seen her in years, and to no supprise. She just stared at her daughter, as cupid left to go be with his mate, who had just summoned him. Llewellyn stood there in total shock, she had loved her mother, and still did even though she abandoned them to live with her father and step mother. Her jaw was hangin in a comical way, and her eyes were now as round as the moon.She tried to speak, but all that came out was a mix between a whine and a groan. "Do you know this moonlit?" Emerald wispered into Llewellyn's ear. "Mother?!?" She blurted out, as she ran to hug her. Her eyes filled with tears of joy. "Daughter?" Arewen said, a bit confused. She hadn't named her pups, so she didn't know what to call her. "Yes it's me, mother. Llewellyn." She explained, as she hugged her mother. "Why did you come back though?" She asked, befuddled at her mother's sudden apearence. "The woods are becoming a lot more dangerous, and now that I'm blind in one eye, I can't hope to stand against these creatures." She epained, a feeling little dismal at having to leave her home in the woods. "What's going on? Could the knights help?" She fired at her mother, wanting an explanation. But her mother just shook her head. "No, no one should be put in danger, the main thing is, that you all grew up safe and happy." She said. Emerald came and offered to take her along on the walk, and that was the star of a new chapter in Llwellyn's life.
Username:: Bluedemonwolf Name for Female:: Morgan le Fay Meaning of Name:: Is from the King Arthur legend; Arthurian sorceress. Basic Personality Outline:: an evil enchantress who is psychic. Can be kind. Prompt Response:: ~~ Prompt A ~~ Mountain Dew
Morgan le Fay was getting ready to go out into the woods to take a walk with her mate, Michelangelo. She had found him when she was a pup and he helped her deal with her family situation or rather the fact that her mother had walked out on her and her siblings. He had a similar thing happen to him but he had left his family when they blamed him for his sister’s disappearance. A smile touched her lips as she thought about the time they would be spending together today. However that smile disappeared when she walked into the common room and spotted someone very familiar, her mother. Her eyes narrowed as she gazed at her mother who was talking to some other wolves. Her mother was here in this house but couldn’t come to see her and say hello and see how she was doing.
Morgan stood in the doorway seething with anger as she tried to decide on what to do. She had finally decided to just walk past and ignore her mother just like she was doing to her. She began to walk when one of the other wolves that were chatting with Arwen pointed her out. “Hey look Arwen. Isn’t that one of the pups you gave up?” The wolf asked. Arwen turned around and looked at Morgan, her eyes growing wide.
“It is, Robinton.” Arwen said in disbelief, “It’s one of the pups I had with… Atreyu. I don’t know what’s she’s called though.” Arwen looked at Morgan le Fay with her head tilted. “What is your name and do you know who I am?”
“Of course I know who you are.” Morgan spat, “Your Arwen, my good for nothing mother.” She glared her mother trying to hold onto her anger. However it didn’t last long. She just couldn’t stay mad at her mother; at the one person she wanted in her life. Tears soon filled her eyes as well as a look of longing. “Why did you leave me… us?” She cried, “Why didn’t you stay? I needed you and you left.” She shook her head at herself knowing that Mikey wouldn’t be all too pleased to find out she had broke down so easily. He had told her that she should hold onto her anger and hatred and here she was doing the exact opposite.
Arwen looked at her daughter, her eyes full of sadness. “I’m sorry I left you but I couldn’t stay. Your father had found his mate and left me heartbroken.” She explained, “I just couldn’t stay.” She paused looking at how sad her daughter looked. “Can you ever forgive me?”
Morgan looked up at her mother and nodded. “I guess so.” She said wiping tears from her eyes, “My name is Morgan le Fay.” She smiled lightly at Arwen. “I would like to talk to you but I have to be somewhere right now. Perhaps later?”
Arwen nodded. “Morgan le Fay…. Definitely a name Atreyu would come up with.” She said, “Alright perhaps later.” She smiled at Morgan then turned back to her friends.
Morgan nodded then headed out the door. She began walking towards the woods and watched as a black wolf with a flower marking stepped out smiling at her. Suddenly everything dissolved.
Morgan opened her eyes after having another one of her prophetic dreams while she took a nap. It seems that she would meet her mother when she was all grown up and would forgive her for leaving. She shook her head wondering how in the world she would manage that but in the meantime she could stay as mad as she wanted at Arwen. She did smile as she thought about her future mate and when she would meet him. She couldn’t wait to meet him since he seemed like fun and even helpful.
Username:: Cornetified Name for Female:: Igraine Meaning of Name:: In Arthurian legend, Igraine is the mother of King Arthur and of Morgan le Fay by different fathers Basic Personality Outline:: Adventurous, playful, mysterious Prompt Response:: Prompt B Igraine was flopped lazily in the common room. Ugh! This was so boring! Father just wanted her out of the way and safe. She groaned and rolled over. Safe from what?! He never told her what she was supposed to be hiding from, and it was starting to irritate her. Don’t go outside, he says. It’s not safe to be alone out there, he says. And of course her guardian would listen to him. Do as your father says. She rolled back onto her belly and ruffled her fur. “But he must have his reasons..” She thought out loud to herself. She hopped onto the couch and looked out at the woods. They seemed so wondrous to her. She was born out there after all. How bad could it be? She remembered the walk through the woods with her brother and sister. And mother. She frowned and hopped back down, still bored, and now brooding about their mother.
Then Lessandria suddenly jumped into the room, then whined and turned back toward the door. Igraine looked up curiously, tilting her head. She heard their father’s muted voice filter into the room, but she couldn’t understand any words. The door shut, and Lessandria stuck her tongue out at the door. “Stay here. Pft! I want to know what that was!” She barked at the door. When she noticed Igraine, her eyes lit up and she ran over. “Hey! I heard something is causing trouble outside, then father told me to come here. He’s probably going out with the knights to fight it. Wanna go see?” Igraine frowned. “Daddy said to stay. Didn’t he.” Lessandria snorted. “So? Now Igraine, I know you don’t like being stuck inside. Neither do I. And if all the knights are there, we'll be perfectly safe. We won’t even get too close. They'll be too busy to notice us anyway.” Igraine frowned. She was tired of being kept inside, and she was now curious about what was going on… “Allright.” She said with a nod. “But only for a tiny bit. In and out.” Lessandria nodded enthusiastically. “Of course. They won’t even know we left!” Lessandria bounced over to the corner window and pushed at the lock. They had discovered a while ago that the lock was broken, and could easily be opened from the inside by them. Flashing a happy glance back, her sister jumped out the window. After half a second more of hesitation, Igraine followed the red girl out the window.
It felt so nice to be outside, and without father or Journey watching her every move. After indulging herself in the ever- tempting mud puddle, she squealed happily and ran after her sister. Lessandria looked back and rolled her eyes. “You’re so odd sister. And hush! We don’t know how close they are.” Lessandria slunk around, and Igraine followed. “I hear them!” Lessandria said excitedly. The sisters crawled forward as quickly as they could. Rounding a rock, they were just in time to see Atreyu and the knights chasing off a couple mean looking wolves. “Aww! We missed the whole thing!” Lessandria whined. Igraine was still watching the chase. How often did father do stuff like that? It looked… dangerous. It looked… exciting! Now she knew why her sister wanted to be in the sitting room so much. They got to do stuff like this! She felt more energy than when she had drunk that bottle of **Mountain Dew** last week! “Come on. We should get back before they do.” Lessandria sighed in disappointment and nodded.
Reaching the room, they found their brother, Mordred, sitting in the center of the room with a mischievous smirk on his maw. “Ooh! I’m telling Atreyu you went outside! Following after him will get you in big trouble.” While Lessandria gasped and tried to think of an excuse to tell Atreyu, Igraine marched up to Mordred with a determined look in her eyes. “Father will wonder how you knew we followed him.” She said threateningly. Mordred gapped at her, as did Lessandria. “You wouldn’t dare…” He glared at his little sister. Igraine stuck her jaw out. “Try me.” Mordred looked at her a moment longer before smirking in satisfaction. “There may be hope for you yet little sister.” He shook his head at Lessandria in mock disappointment, spared another grin for Igraine, the turned for the door, which opened up right when he reached it. Dagger stuck his head in. “You may come out now kids.” Mordred slunk quickly out, while Lessandria warily watched Igraine, who hadn’t moved yet. ‘Mordred smiled at me.’ She thought, biting her lip. ‘I can’t turn into him! Don’t forget what you saw outside.’ She gave Lessandria a confident smile, and quickly followed after Dagger.
Username:: ` P 0 5 ! 0 N Name for Female:: Lamia Meaning of Name:: Greek myth name of an evil spirit who abducts and murders children. Means "Vampire" in Latin, and "Fiend" in Arabic. Basic Personality Outline:: Angered, Depressed, Hurt and Confused. Prompt Response:: Prompt A Arwen left you to be handled by your father and your new “mother” and disappeared for her own personal reasons. You’ve just discovered she has no intentions of coming back for you or your siblings but, while out wondering the common room one day, you spot her conversing with a few other wolves. How do you feel about her sudden reappearance back into your life? Are you angry? Are you upset? Will you confront her? Roleplay as if the pup is in her final, adult stage. Having not been one to get along impeccably well with her family, Lamia had found herself roaming on her own more and more. She was searching.. For what she did not know but something was missing from her that plagued her mind time and time again. And more then once she had thought it might be her lost sight in her left eye that distressed her greatly but the truth in the matter was she didn't care about that. She could still see, the world had not been closed off completely from her eyes. And for that she was grateful. Though it was on this fateful day that her life would be split.
Walking in from a horrable rain storm Lamia headed towards the common room for a bit of alone time. This had been the third time she had set off into the woods after that something her heart yearned for. And this was the third time she had come back empty. At least thats what she had thought.. As soon as she had stepped into the common room Lamia found herself frozen to her stop. A few feet away a strange moonlit sat; back to her. Speaking very seriously with Tsume her guardian. Eyes wide with fright she felt deep stabs applied to her unfeeling heart. Her.. It was her fault, she caused the hurt! She practically screamed in her mind as she watched Tsume turn and nod his head in her direction. It was right then when she saw her true mothers face for the second time. How beautiful she was, though Lamis was unaffected by that fact, it was the pain she saw in her mothers eyes that caught her attention and caused her to bristle at the thought.
"Lamia.." She heard her so-called-mother speak, in a voice softer then she could ever imagine. A voice that threatened to calm her rising anger. THough of course that wasn't enough. Ears flicking back she lowered her head and curled her lips back in a deep snarl. "You have no right to speak my name you abandoning fiend." She snapped before Tsume rose to his paws and stepped towards her. "Do not speak that way Lamia!" He bellowed only to be interrupted in his scold by Arwen. "Do not scold her Tsume.. I expected something like this to happen." Her ever so soft voice commented with an immense about of sadness. Drawing back her snarls she stepped backwards and eyed the mother that had abandoned her and her siblings. tilting her nose towards the ground she closed her eyes and looked up at her through her damaged eyes. "You left us.. Your just left.." She spoke in a defeated voice before she snapped her head to the side, wanting to look anywhere but at the one who had hurt her badly. "You can't just waltz back here after what you've done." Allowing a pathetic growl to leave her maw she hit her paw on the ground and looked back towards her, painlaid out on her face. "Go back to where you came from Mother." Practicly spitting the word 'mother' she shook her head quickly. "Don't let Mordred and Lessandria. Your 'other' children know you've come here. You'll only cause more pain." Eyes looking towards Tsume she noted how he was looking away from them, "No your not my mother. You never were, I have a better one now.. Arwen." Turning her body she quickly fled out the door and back into the rain.
Tsume, who was left behind turned to Arwen, intent of apologizing when she turned to him with such a hurt expression that he simply placed his paw over hers and give a small smile. "Don't worry about her. I'm sure she'll come around. Just give her time." Eyes flicing to the spot where Lamia had been standing Tsume sighed and padded on over and out the door, right into the rain. "Lamia.." He muttered softly before seeing Flash of red wiz through the trees. And in the next second he was off on another chase to catch the pup he helped take care of. Neither noticing Arwen watching from the window.
( Poor Arwen, Maybe she'll go get some -Mountian Dew- 8D )
12:01 exactly!! muwhahaha!!
Alright, the results are in and let me just say; I absolutely loved everyone's entries and the way you guys were extremely creative with how you responded to the prompt you chose was absolutely awesome. Honestly, if I had a puppy for each one of you, I would totally give you guys one but there's only one which makes this hard *shakes a fist at the rules and falls over* I made up a points system to see who had the most points and let me say that it was pretty close between the winner and two other entries who tied in points. Anyways, I'm going to turn this over to Atreyu and Dagger to announce the winner of their daughter.
Atreyu: *takes the paper* Alright everyone, after much deliberation and waiting, I would like to announce that the name of my third and youngest daughter will be Princess Igraine and her ownership is thus turned over to Cornetified. Congratulations!
Dagger: *takes the paper* And in the mood of Spring, the two other entries who tied, Lady Bluedemonwolf and Lord Poison will receive a special prize (which they will receive by late Wednesday/ early Thursday) for having two wonderfully written entries for the little girl. But wait, that's not all!! The four of you will be entered into a super awesome raffle the next time our owner does a breeding with two of her own moonlits again.
Wait what?! I didn't write that gonk *shakes a fist at him and Atreyu as they both start to laugh*
Dagger: Well, it's too late; I already sent the gifts off for you and told all the other moonlits in our pack *smiles innocently and hides behind his mate*
*glares at him* Oh whatever you little monster! domokun *turns back to everyone and bows deeply* Thank you for such wonderful entries to read and this was so much fun! Cornetified, please post your form in the main thread when you're ready and I will send the trade to Wolfie in the morning :3
