Hey I bought HM:MM awhile back and just now have gotten a chance to play it
but it hurts me to say it's incredebly hard to get over the cartoon like graphics, but don't get me wrong I absolutly love the harvest moon games and wanted to simply ask if it truely is a good game as well if you get into it and over the graphics
and if you enjoy it post some of your favorite things about it here
i hope i come to enjoy it

MM is a very long game. It has not actual ........"end".
I did particularly love the characters. There were not only a whole LOT of them but they were all pretty interesting. There are many marriage options as well as property options since you can build as many houses as you can fit on whatever property you own. There's also a lot of special heart events for all the characters.
Some of the bad points are the graphics as you said and the tediousness of it. I personally prefer the graphics for StH or AWL. And since the game pretty much never ends unless you marry Jamie it does seem to go on forever and ever. Which may not be a bad thing depending on your tastes.

I agree with Master Domino.
There were some unique characters in the game, and all in all I think this game is worth buying for anyone that has yet to get it. Though the graphics did approach an unusual style from the other games, It was still nice. =]

I didn't like it at first because like what RuneFox02 said, the cartoon like Graphics, and I didn't like having to farm and getting the notes, but after awhile I got used to it and now I really like it.

I, personally, liked the game. All the things and choices you could make were great. But as far as the graphics... not liking it. Idk what it would look like if they did it any differently, but if they used to style like Rune Factory i think it could look better. But its a happy game, and the graphics are happy.... ... .. . But thiis style sould look great on the DS!! I like all of the unique characters.. except mayor burning_eyes

I love that game to bits, but like everybody else has said:
WHY DID THEY HAVE TO JUMP THE CELL-SHADING BANDWAGON?! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, WINDWAKER!!
Seriously, if they had the graphics like STH, RF, or AWL, I would have been much happier. Then I would be buried with it as well as a tv and Gamecube.
4 and a quarter out of 5.

I like it! I actually like the graphics and think they're cute! There are many choices to make as far as a marriage is concerned. It's one of my favorite Harvest Moons. heart

the game is fun...and the end is when you get all 101 notes and stuff. it might also be fun to get ten hearts for everyone, if you have that kind of time.... if you do, you have as little of a life as I do... xd

I love the game despite the graphics. I always get halfway through but I can never complete it because of the god damn truffle >.>;;

I love Magical Melody! I think finding the notes was a fun new addition to the game! And the cartoon-like graphics seem to fit the game and series very well wink

After playing Awl (where there are only three marriage candidates, no REAL plot line but super awesome graphics), I still have to say MM rocked. Although, the chibi style is a little hard to get over - at first!-, the game is a challenge and was fun along the way. I totally loved it, although the graphics had nothing on Awl, but still....totally worth playing.

The graphics made me laugh. The only thing I DIDNOT like about the game was not only the 'missing ending', but the fact that your child stays a toddler FOREVER. O_O it gets REALLY annoying. with all the crying *shudders*
