She was bored. Lazing around in a small clearing, next to a slow moving stream, grazing on fresh spring grass. There was no one to talk to, no one to play with. Faer sighed, and snuffed the dirt slightly with a hoof, before moving to the stream and taking a few sips. The cherry blossom petals that swirled about her body moved slowly, drifting lazily in an indivisible wind. With spring arriving, the petals gave off a soft glow as if rejuvenated after a long, cold winter.

Faer raised her head to look toward the sky. No birds out today. Her gaze moved toward the trees. No squirrels, mice or rabbits either. Back to taking a drink, sighing into the water. She guessed they were all busy with finding the perfect one for them, making babies, and raising the young. Faer thought this was the reason that she hadn't seen any other soquili around lately. There had been an increasing abundance of baskets and foals lately. The mare sighed again. Such was the happenings of spring.

Though! A smile sprung to her lips as she turned back around to the grass for a nibble. Once all the babies were old enough, she could see them. This made her happy, to know that soon she would have more friends to converse and play games with. Lowering her head, she went back to nibbling.

Quetzalcoatl continued on his journey across the Kawani lands, surveying the ground below him. Granted, if he had to begrudgingly admit something positive about these lands, it was that because not every inch was forested that he could make out much more of the ground from soaring high in the sky. There were bare mountains capped with frigid snows, wide grassy meadows full of succulent grasses, deserts where nothing but the most rugged, prickly plants grew, and of course the familiar sights of trees and rivers and lakes.

He had no destination in mind. He'd have to know these lands better if he were to have something like that. No, instead he went where the wind sang to him - to see what was new, and perhaps to find a new place to call his home. Thus far, nothing had met the exceedingly high expectations of the MesoAmerican Angeni.

When he had been flying for some time, the sapphire blue of a meandering stream caught his attention. He did suppose he was thirsty. After all, even one such as he had to stop for a drink sometimes.

He flapped his dual pairs of wings slowly and angled his descent, patches of iridescent rainbow flashing in the sunlight as he moved his wings. As he began to get closer to the ground - he saw that there was another on the shore of the stream - something white and pink - a mare, with wings tucked at her sides.
