Looking at another thread we have...
Well, had an interesting "psych test" we did in my last psych class...
Tis but a simple drawing, but it relies on the idea of projection, Freudian style...
Simple... go grab yourself a piece of paper, preferably plain ole' white paper (the kind you print on), but I guess anything will do.
Now, draw a picture with a House, a tree, and a person.
Other than that, you're free to do as you wish.
I'm sure you could find things on google about this, but if you want me to "analyze" your drawing, gotta scan and post it... ^_^ (plz don't do it in photoshop/paint/other compy drawing software... just takes away from it... I mean, if you want, I'll still do it, but it probably won't turn out well)
Oh, and one more thing... this is Freudian stuffs... meaning some of the interpretations can be... well, disturbing. Just a warning... ^_^( )
Edit: Oh, and I may ask things about parts of the picture that merit clarification, may be odd, may be "normal", may be... something else. Just to understand the picture, so to speak... ^_^
*Sibby is not a psychologist, and does not profess to be one. This is NOT a professional psychological test administered by a professional psychologist, and is for ENTERTAINMENT purposes ONLY! If you really want a good examination of yourself, or if you need help, go to a professional psychologist/psychiatrist/therapist PLEASE! See, I'm so much not a professional, I wouldn't even know what professional to send ya to... that says something! ^_^ But, if you're in it for the entertainment, ENJOY! n_n*
I think that's my longest disclaimer to date? o_O LOL!

Queued: Nymphie Meru Maria Sunaya Luna Pixie
I promise I'm not forgetting this... it's just hard to sit down long enough to analyze one... let alone a couple... I'll work though 'em all! o.o( )

Oshit, I'm going to do this. Going to be on a tablet though since I want to finish it tonight and don't feel like getting beaten for waking up my mom to use her scanner. Don't worry, it won't be super photoshop special or anything. Just a scribble as if it were actually on paper. POST SAVED FOR JUSTICE EDIT: Okay. here we are. I might have a slighter advantage since I kinda know what this is about. xD Just so you know (the pic is kinda crap)- Guy is leaning against a tree in the front of the house. There's a bird in the nest in the tree. There's a limb on that tree above the house. The guy has grey hair (same color as the house) and there's a book in his hand. There's grass everywhere and bushes to either side of the house. There's smoke coming out of the chimney of the house. There's another tree behind the house. edit2: Sib only reads this unless you want to ruin your drawing/test: So I just reaffirmed what some of the signs meant (AFTER I drew my drawing first, with vague recollection) And I have to say... Wow. Especially the knothole in the tree part. SO true. ): If you want to know what I read: link

Oh, Q, and the obligatory follow up questions (I guess anyone else who posts a picture should answer these too... x_x Need to get ALL my stuff together, ne? o.o)
Who is the person in the picture? What do they like? Not like?
Who lives in the house? Anyone visit?
What kinds of trees are those? How old are they?
And did you draw the body of your person first, or the head?
Did you draw the leaves of the tree first or the trunk?
I know, you read that, and prolly know most of what I'm gonna say... but still... I'll just post it tiny so it won't spoil what people are gonna draw... o.o

Sibeiko Oh, Q, and the obligatory follow up questions (I guess anyone else who posts a picture should answer these too... Need to get ALL my stuff together, ne? o.o) Who is the person in the picture? What do they like? Not like? Who lives in the house? Anyone visit? What kinds of trees are those? How old are they? I'll just post it tiny so it won't spoil what people are gonna draw... o.o Well if you know more than what I read, then I'll be pleasantly surprised. xP Person in pic: Well it's a teenager/young adult. Probably partially native american and a genius but doesn't use his brain wisely at all. They like seclusion, deep thought, reading, and psychology (=P) and nature. And philosophy. They don't like idiots and crowded places or cities with little wildlife/trees/nature as it makes them uncomfortable. Concrete jungle isn't a jungle. It's concrete death. D< Who lives int he house: Uhh, nobody I guess. Maybe his family. I only drew the house because you said to draw a house. Can't say anyone visits. Trees: Well I'd guess they're middle-aged (lol so that's like what? 50 years?) they're Maple or oak trees. I really don't know. Some type of common tree with leaves that have fragmented edges. Not circle ones and not evergreen. drawn person: I drew the uh. Well I think I drew the head first, but just the circle for the head's placement. Then I drew the shoulderblades and the arm. The the pants. I put the details in the face last. Hair, then eyes, finally mouth. I drew the branches first for the back tree, then the trunk, then the leaves. For the tree in the front I drew the trunk first. Then three branches (you only see the one). The roots were last but the bird was after the roots. Since you're probably gonna ask this too, it went: House -> Grass/bushes -> tree in front -> Person -> Tree in back -> more grass (in front of person and front tree) -> Smoke in chimney edit: Oh, and I'm personally 20 if you want to know that.

Mkay... Here's what I "think"...
Summation:
Person is not aggressive. Person is close to family, maybe too close in some ways. May try to keep friends away from family. Person doesn't hide much, and may have opened himself up too much to others/someone else. Person may be a**l retentive, or a**l explosive (Freudian terms). Person's ID is intrusive, but still controlled. Person is successful, or is on the path to success, and is doing well. Person has fantasies brewing and maybe in danger of being acted on. Person shoes some openness to the public at large, but not a whole lot. Person has a strong sense of autonomy and has no real security issues. There appear to be no OCD tendencies, nor any regressive tendencies. Person may have a too strong emphasis on appearance. Person likes the outdoors and nature, and dislikes being around too many people. Person, for the most part doesn't give much thought before acting, does the thinking afterwards. Person appears to be grounded and relatively stable, no evidence of being psychotic.
The below contains "spoilers" to the interpretation of the picture, don't read unless you don't want your "test" to be at least halfway accurate (Then again, this is Freudian stuff...) It's not organized, just typed as I looked though my notes and the picture... Most of the conclusions were posted in the normal sized text. There is not much spacing between all 3 objects, but does merit some consideration in that: House overlapping the tree shows that you feel your family may be imposing too much on you. Closeness of all three indicates strong relationships between how you show yourself, how you see yourself, and your family. However, boundaries may not be established enough between yourself, and your family, and you may be too open towards others, maybe even to a significant other.
No definite border and grounding indicates that person is grounded and relatively stable.
First, the person appears "large" compared to the tree(s) and the house; even if it is a perspective thing, it seems that appearance may be excessively emphasized.
No pointy leaves/branches, there appears not to be much aggression, and the trees are "healthy," indicative of a healthy person. Has successfully reached out.
However, the knothole in the tree, based on the location, shows there may be issues pertaining to the a**l stage of childhood, and the person may be a**l retentive or explosive.
Animal in the tree is the person's ID, which indicates the ID is intruding on the person's life, however it is still controlled.
Normal sized house indicates childhood was properly nurturing, not too much or too little.
House boundaries are thick, and show a walling off of family towards others (is close to family, but doesn't allow friends close?)
Chimney with smoke shows some fantasies are strongly thought of, and may be in danger of being acted out on.
Doors and windows show some openness to others, but not too much, maybe a little shy, but nothing notable.
As far as I can tell, the drawn person matches the sex of the artist, showing nothing too much is hidden.
Hands open, exposed, not in gloves or in pockets shows a normal reaching out, no real aggression. Legs are drawn normally, but pronounced and the feet are normal, showing strength, strong autonomy, and no real security issues.
Details in person show no/little OCD tendencies, combined with the way the trees were drawn, show none at all.
Of course, the person reflects the artist, so most of what was said can be applied to how the artist feels.
No visitors to the house only seems to strengthen the argument that family and friends are kept separate.
Common tree shows no abnormal tendencies.
The way you drew the person shows that you likely stop for a brief moment to give things a little thought, but mostly just act on what you're gonna do, and do most of the thinking later.
Tree drawings, seeing as how they were done separately, could mean different things, but seem to emphaize that you've no problems reaching out to people, and have a robust self (Freudian Ego.)
House done first seems only to moreso emphasize your family ties.
Chimney smoke done last downplays the fantasy bearing.
Well? o.O

Sibeiko 1. Person may be a**l retentive, or a**l explosive (Freudian terms). 2. Person's ID is intrusive, but still controlled. 3. Person is successful, or is on the path to success, and is doing well. 4. Person has fantasies brewing and maybe in danger of being acted on. 5. Person has a strong sense of autonomy and has no real security issues. So everything you said is all true. xd Could you explain 1 & 2 in more detail? I didn't get it when I read it on the page and I still don't get it when you mention it. (I don't understand what the animal has to do with it either?)3. LOL I did not know this. I certainly don't feel successful. How'd this come about, again? 4. Totally true and this "fantasy" is probably the only thing I'll never tell anyone else (and haven't as of now - so if you think you know what it is you're wrong. And no, don't bother asking because I won't say what it is). But it's not so much that it has a threat of happening, it's just more of a I'm getting more and more worried it will happen. Not that I'm actively going out to like.. Do it. 5. Explain this too, please? Large words, laziness. They don't go together well even if I already have a dictionary in my face.

Ooooh! Aine shall do this!
I just need to find some printer paper that hasn't been used. Because, apparently, either we're out, or it's hard to find. AND that fact makes Aine temporarily turn into the Incredible Hulk. D:
*goes off to look more*
Edit- Aine's finished drawing. Now I just need to find a scanner and scan it. XD

There's the house that Toastie drew 3nodding Free for sibbtacular's inspection. Now, to go read the analysis @__@ Edit: Questions answered. Who is the person in the picture? What do they like? Not like? It's a little girl. Probably 9-10 ish? They like dollies and playing bikes and making tea parties 4laugh They don't like it when daddy hits mommy T^T Who lives in the house? Anyone visit? The little girl lives there with her parents. They're often visited by grandparents and other relatives. What kinds of trees are those? How old are they? It's an apple tree. In the prime of it's life, so not ancient but not a new sapling either, probably the equivalent of 30-some odd human years converted into tree years. And did you draw the body of your person first, or the head? Strangely enough, the body. But that's because i drew the swing first and did the body coming from it :3 Did you draw the leaves of the tree first or the trunk? The trunk came first. How else would i know where to put the leaves, silly? :3 Yes, it was done on my computer... but i used the tablet, and i didn't edit it at all, so it should be pretty accurate. Want the order i drew things in as well? House -> Tree -> Leaves -> Swing -> Girl -> Dog -> Windows + Doors -> Tricycle -> Table, Chairs + Tea set -> Dolls -> Chimney -> Smoke -> Flowers + Flower bed -> Birds -> Knothole -> Owl (yes that's an owl, damnit >_< )

Even though I think Freud was something of a nut: Who is the person in the picture? What do they like? Not like? The ''main'' person is the girl, the little guy is her brother. She loves wandering around, meeting all kinds of people. That's why she is on the road. She hates being in the city. She wants to show her brother that it isn't the only place to live in. When she isn't traveling, she goes to libraries and all kinds of schools to learn what she can. She also cares for the stray animals in her neighborhood when she is at home. She likes hanging around the ''weird'' people. The boy is, well, just an ordinary young kid, maybe smarter than the usual. He loves to follow his sister around. He also likes ballet, but hates spinach.
Who lives in the house? Anyone visit? It's a man called ''The Hunter''. He doesn't actually hunt anything, where he got that name from isn't known. He's a smart old guy, but probably with a rather shady past. The girl often visits because he tells interesting stories. Other than that? Who knows? He never speaks to visitors about who else might have been there.
What kinds of trees are those? How old are they? It's an ancient tree, marking the beginning of the Hunter's area. Species unknown.
And did you draw the body of your person first, or the head? Girl: Head first. Boy: Body first.
Did you draw the leaves of the tree first or the trunk? It doesn't have leaves sweatdrop But I draw the trunk before the branches.
Uhh...is this enough?

i did this in my psych class a couple years ago.
it was good times. xD
K I MADE ONE. YAY MS PAINT. :D

Who is the person in the picture? What do they like? Not like? it's hobo jim. he likes dinty moore beef stew, but he doesn't get it often because he has no money. but the cans are still useful for holding charlie brown christmas trees! :D
Who lives in the house? Anyone visit? jim lives in his box. nobody visits him, because he's a smelly hobo. although this one time he met a smelly hobo woman and they got it on in the box. but that was twenty years ago. past his prime, jim is.
What kinds of trees are those? How old are they? it's a shitty fake christmas tree he found in the dumpster that morning. those plastic things last forever, it could be millions of years old.
And did you draw the body of your person first, or the head? the head.
Did you draw the leaves of the tree first or the trunk? the trunk.

Mkay... a**l Retentive and a**l Explosive are two "Freudian" terms that refer to one's personality, altered by "odd" events during the a**l stage of childhood. (somewhere around 2-3 years old).
*copied from wiki*
a**l fixation, which may be caused by too much punishment during toilet training, has two possible outcomes.
* The a**l retentive personality is stingy, with a compulsive seeking of order and tidiness. The person is generally stubborn and perfectionist.
* The a**l expulsive personality is an opposite of the a**l retentive personality, and has a lack of self control, being generally messy and careless.
3. Looking at the picture (spoilers in small text!) *normal hands/arms, as well as healthy leaves and branches on the trees indicates a healthy reaching out for success, and being successful. While you may not "feel" you are "at" success, you may feel you're on track. Or something like that... o.o*
2 and 4 are highly related. The ID is the "pleasure seeking, bad stuff avoiding" part of your personality. It is what would act out on your fantasies, so to speak. You might not be actively pursuing your fantasies, but it IS. However, seeing as how you haven't done so, you're still in control.
5. No security issues; no "fear" of losing anything terribly big. And you're confident in your ability to do things by yourself. (eg. strong autonomy)
^__^
Oh, and everyone who's got a picture, you'll have to give me a while... big checklist of things to sort though, then compile, and stuffs.. ^_^
But just glancing... we've got some fun stuffs! ^_^
And I'll DEFINITELY ask more questions of ya'll to clear things up... certain pictures ask for different things to be said, so to speak. n_n
