Now, I know we aren't supposed to be making any threads right now, due to us trying to stablize things, but... I just feel like due to rescent events in the other guild, we've lost the spirit, and I would like to try and reastablish that spirit.

Please, remember: Although this guild is for spiritual and non-spiritual topics, I would at least try to make a spiritual thread.

I would like to start with a story that I was told, not a half-hour ago.

O.K I will work on that tonight no listen to this story that happened no more then an hour or two ago. I was on my way to do yard work for cash and I hear this kid crying. We have woods next to us so I go to investigate. I find two little boys (About 5years old) one stuck half way up a tree. The other saying things like he is a wimp and sucks at climbing trees. Now being well being a start scout and mormon my first action was to start climbing the tree and get him down. then i scream at the other boy "Go get your mom" Well i start climbing and the boy comes back and says she does not believe me then i thought well i thought nothing i only did.Anyways I get up to him and start to clear away the branches around him. He is baaling his eyes out. and has no idea what to do so he grabsmy back and digs in his fingers. So i have to climb back down and only use one hands with a kid who has no idea what to do. Anyways I make it back down and now when i went to see what happend i went down a small hill but it was steep with alot of loose rock.So as careful as possible I slowly make my way up. now remember I am only 12 and have very weak arms (Need to work on that) So I carry this kid all the way back to his house. 50feet I think. His mom answers the dorr as the kid is still crying. She was at shcok. 1 that he was actually in the tree two that i stopped to help him with no knowing him or her. three because I was able to do it. and four because I was so humble and even said your welcome and thank you. She even told the person she was talking to on her cell phone about me. I can not believe how much of the spirit I fealt. I still do.

Now, can we please try to remember the spirit? It seems since the sell out, we have completely forgotten about it. Let us try to remember the spirit at this time.

EDIT:
By how this thread is turning out, I decided to give it another purpose:
If you've had a spiritual moment, and would like to share it (remember, you should only share a spiritual moment if the spirit moves you to do so, otherwise it is sacred to you, and should be kept alone), then you may post it here. That way, if people every need to feel the spirit, they can just come here.

Another story to help return the spirit...So my Dad said we could have a garage sale so being 12 and haviong a ton of junk I was happy. Well in the end I think we made 40$ total and we still had a TON of junk. Well about 2 weeks before my dad stops thinking about ect... but I kept to it. I just kept bugging him and bugging him until one day he said fine we will do it next saturday. Well half way through my mom starts looking through boxes in the garage because no one was coming. (I have moved 5 or 6 times, my family about 11) so she finds one box with a bunch of old papers and she starts to sort them and she finds I think 60 names something like that not sure of the total count anyways they had not had any work done for them so now we are tring to find a good time to go to the temple as a family. So we came out with new names and 40$!! The Lord works through strange ways.

On anothet spiritual-ish note. Today it was raining outside here, and I love the rain, ever since I was like five, I have spent every rain storm out there on my swing set just enjoying it. Anyway, I was out there today and I just had this thought. The thought was to jump off and do it right then. So I did, as I jumped the swing snapped and broke. Had I not jumped as I had that though, I would have fell and probably seriously hurt myself. As it is, I just slipped a bit and scratched up my arm and hand. Other than that I am completely okay. If I had fell and hit my head to the point of unconciousness, it might have been hours until I was found, and chances of that happening if I had just fell, are really good, we have cement and rocks under our swings. I am so greatful I was able to hear the spirit and listened to it.

the spirit..ohhh.we've had some pretty crazy run-ins with each other...here's prolly my favorite one.
me and my fiance went to his ward (not baptised yet=me) to set up chairs for a dinner later that night. when we were done, we sat down on a ocuch in the hallway. on the wall across from us was a picture of Joseph Smith. it was then that i somehow jsut KNEW he was a true prophet for the first time. i busted out crying for a good fifteen minutes. poor tyler, he was so confused, he din't really know what to do. xd but it was so odd, ...it's that......every time i walk into any "mormon" building, i can instantly feel the peacefulness and the holy spirit. and some times i can't control myself, it's so overwhelming. i just have to cry.
