TEACHERS ARE HERE TO TEACH FACTS, NOT OPINIONS AND ESPECIALLY NOT HATRED MY SPANISH TEACHER TODAY WENT OFF ON A TANGENT OF HOW MUSLIMS ARE ALL TOWEL WEARING, BOMB HAPPY, WOMAN ABUSING WHACK JOBS!!! i could have tolerated the opinion, but there are impressionable kids in the class believing every word he says, he's teaching his hatred and ignorance of a whole group of people (who's religion is one of the three largest in the world) and grouping them all together as extremists, when it is the 1% of them that do all the terrorism, the whole purpose of this guild for me is to eliminate this "cattle" way of thinking and get people to start piecing the truth together themselves, teachers are here to supply the facts and for us to form opinions, not the other way around

in this world. religin in general just tells u what way to go and what to do at what time. therefor i have no religin (not telling u ppl to do this. do what u think will be best for ur life.) but there are some who belive almost every word shoved down their throughts. i have seen this countless times. in many wars riligin was used to justify it. there was always, "it's the gods (or god's) will!!" that is no good now days. i think we need to keep religin at the house and stop hating something cause they are differnt and u don't understand. (and i would have stood up and asked that teacher alot of ?s about y she thinks it's right to say that. also if ppl do that, please tell me the answers. i am going to be writing a paper soon about the human thought process and i think it would help us out greatly on how to atually deal with alot of problems outside of the guild)

faith is in no way a bad thing as long as you don't try to impose it on others, i have no serious religious affiliations because i form my own opinion on what to believe, i by no means agree with atheists but i hate how power based modern churches are esp. Catholicism and the like (i don't agree with the fact that one person may talk to god while the common man can't)

Faith is an extremely dangerous thing in that it damages one's ability to think clearly and rationally. A person who desires faith or follow 'sacred myth' merely seeks to short-circuit reason and obtain an easy end. (Rand - The Virtue of Selfishness)
Like a great many toxic philosophies and belief systems, Christianity is open to very wide interpretation. When followed and taken as a (false) authority by many, it may be manipulated by some fool claiming to lead the people, leading to some of the most terrible evils executed upon mankind (Rachels - The Elements of Moral Philosophy).
Furthermore, what is the point of complaining about the situation of the world? Verily, we are only adding to the problems. So there is a problem? Got any plans to fix it?

the things you need to make a difference are money, influence, or numbers, i'm trying to make numbers and i never said to sacrifice logic for faith and as long as there are things left unexplained in the universe, you cannot call it a sacred myth

Anybody can believe whatever they want, but what religion they have doesn't mark them. Just because some bad people came out of the religion doesn't mean anybody else can be blamed for their stupidity. Religion defines what you believe in, not who others believe you are. Stereotypes are so idiotic. I mean, every human knows that not all blondes are dumb. Isn't your religion the same? Your hair color, eye color, religion, race, and gender define you but not label you. As I will always say to any stereotypes about me, "Don't label me. I'm not for sale."

Hey since we are sorta on the topic of Religion. I wanna have my say.
Religion is all what you want it to be these days. It can be twisted and turned to the users liking. I mean I myself could start up a church. Have my own religion call it ManuerOutcasts and say it is a free ride to heaven and have a numerous amount of people all hyped up on lies that I could feed to them over and over. I mean I am not saying Religion is wrong to have. Thats defiantly not what i am getting at. But I am saying that you believe in what you believe. Thats the way its been For countless years and so far its the way it will stay.

Hey I have a new topic if you guys want it, its actually pretty small (and comparativly lame if you don't have a pet/dog sweatdrop )
Umm ever hear about breed bans? Its when a province (Or I guess a state) bans an entire breed of (dog usually) because they're "too violent".
I don't agree with the idea personally. EVERy dog has instincts. MOST dogs have owners. Owners should be able to control their pets (and no I'm not talking abuse) and people should have the common sense to stay away from wild dogs. No animal attacks just beacause they feel like it.
