Setting: East bank of the river flowing into Lake Sigmund, and the fields directly south of that area.   Sonata dipped a paw into the water occasionally as she followed Theo down the riverbank. It was cool to the touch - she longed to take a swim, but decide against it. She couldn't quite swim yet, after all. But there was still much to enjoy about today! The sun was shining and the birds were singing in the trees, and she could run; a sensation unlike any other she felt before. Sonata itched to race, her tail waving to and fro as she started to catch up to her brother with a gentle trot.
Theo looked back over his shoulder and grinned at his sister - with his Father's permission, they had finally been allowed to take their first unsupervised visit all the way past Lake Sigmund, farther than they've ever gone before. It gave him a sense of independence and responsibility to be here with his little sister in tow... he wondered absently if there were any other kids around to play with.

 Down from the mountains of Brynhild walked a young white femme with violet zigzagging stripes down her back and light purple hair. Her blue and purple eyes seemed cloudy and distant as she walked, one or two herbs clamped tightly in her maw. Valeria was unaware that on her little herb gathering trip that she might meet others her own age and even her own clan.
No longer did she think much of her father, whom she'd lost faith in while she was just a fluff when he chose another femme over her mother.
Carefully she walked over to the lake, she wasn't that good of a swimmer but she'd noticed earlier that there were a few herbs that liked to grow close to the waters edge.

  Velocium walked with his distant cousin Kimahri. The galactical kit beside him was too serious and overly protective of his sister..."Het, let's go over to Lake Sigmund, Kimahri! I bet maybe Kazehime will be there..."
"..." He simply nodded, then smiled a bit, the two cousins walking to the river, until Velocium dropped dead to the floor..."Velocium?! Hey, what's wrong-Oh, you fell asleep again...Get off my hind foot and tail at least..." And so, Kimahri was forced to sit there on his stomach until Velocium would wake up...

Kaiyuki gave a slight sigh as her siblings, yet AGAIN left her behind. Her father had let her explore as long as she was back by dinner. That shouldn't be too hard right? As she walked along the riverbank she noticed two fafners, one silvery grey with daisy's on him; she was pretty sure that this was Velocium. The other...was Kimhari.

Sonata slowed her pace when she was shoulder-to-shoulder with Theo, cocking her head to one side and giving a small grin.
"Wanna race, Theo?" she asked him eagerly. Her brother chuckled. She was much faster than him, as they had figured out not too long ago. Sonata faced a formidable opponent only in her Ana, who was older and slightly bigger than her sisters.
"Well, if you wish" he resigned, and Sonata giggled as she got herself poised to start.
"You can count off, ok?"
"Ok. Three... two... one... GO!!"
Sonata was off, bounding across the fields with a burst of speed. Theo trailed behind, his steps a bit clumsy from lack of experience. Sonata looked behind her, cried out to Theo to keep up... and lost her footing, tumbling head over heels down to the riverbank. She landed right by the water, shaking her head and sitting up slowly. Theo appeared by her side, slightly worried.
"Are you ok?" he asked. Sonata nodded and blinked, glancing around. She thought she saw someone in the distance... it was Valeria! Their cousin was headed this way, and they'd surely be able to play together. Sonata waved at her with an outstretched paw.
At the same instant, Theo had looked the other way, and saw Velocium with a male he didn't know, sort of... stuck together. He raised one eyebrow in slight surprise, nudging Sonata's shoulder. She stood up and turned around, and saw the two boys as well.
"Hey, it's Vel! And... and... someone else? Let's go say hello!" she cried out, trotting eagerly in the direction of the two prospective playmates.

Kimahri noticed the other incoming kits and placed his forepaw to his mouth and winked depite his awkward position. "Shhh~Velocium's been exercising too much like always...That's why he always falls asleep all the time. I'm Kimahri, Velocium's distant cousin."
Velocium started to nom on Kimahri's whispy-white tail and mumble. "Omnomnomnom...~~"

Kaiyuki gave a slight stare as Velocium began to munch on Kimahri's tail. She gave a small giggle as she trotted over to her siblings, giving them each a slight nod.
"...Your tail...must be...quite...appetizing Kimahri. Vel looks like he's enjoying himself" she said flashing him a small smile.

Kimahri swished his tail a bit to tickle Velocium, who sneezed. "Mmmm...?" Velocium sat upright, then rubbed his little blueish eyes and yawned.
"Ah, and Sleeping Eater wakes up..." Kimahri finally got up to his feet and shook his tail lightly. "It appears like you just got company, Velocium. I'm going swimming for a bit first."

Sonata giggled, watching as Velocium munched on the galactic-patterned child's tail. Theo watched Kai appear near them, and waved to his little sister.
"Hey, Kai. Dad let you come out, too?" he asked curiously. Sonata nodded to Kimahri in greeting.
"Nice to meet you, Kimahri. I'm Sonata, and this is Theo, he's my brother, and Kai is my sister" she stated eagerly, her ears perking up as she noticed that Velocium was waking up.
"Hey, Velocium" Theo said. Sonata waved again, wondering how Velocium could possibly be so sleepy all the time. There were so many places to explore! She wondered if either one of the two boys would want to race with her as she sat in the grass and looked up at the clouds, admiring their shapes.

Velocium greeted them warmly with a hello back and a yawn. "Nyaaaaah...Oh? Um, Kim, they're calling after you! Waaaaaaaaait up! Sorry, he walks fast...Let's go catch after him!" With a small leap and dash, Velocium ran after his cousin, who was already by the lake, looking in.
" The temperature of this water is quite cool, perfect for such a warm day for us hot-headed kits-AAAARGGHH!!" SPLASH...!? Apparently, Velocium had run too far ahead and bumped both himself and Kim over into the lake, Velocium poking his head out.
"Meep...Where's Kim....Oh jeez, I'm so sorry..." Kim finally poked his head out and had a small vein mark. "Erm, sorry for stepping on your back?"
" ...[Sigh...You never change...] Ah, Sonata, Theo, Kai, and ... You are...?" He had heard them as he was walking away earlier, but didn't hear hers...
"That's Va- OOMF!" Velocium had just swam in circles trying to say Valeria's name at the same time until he crashed onto a rock. The silver little clutz had striked again...

Valeria hadn't noticed the other children, caught up in her mind and at the task at hand. The femme stood at the waters edge, wondering if she should at least try to swim, or tolerate the cold water in her fur so she could get the interesting plants that were submerge, unlike she had previously thought. I don't really want to get wet...but a healer has to do whatever it takes to gather things that can help others. As she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath to step in the lake she was all at once aware of the presence of family and other children as she was splashed in the face by a dark blue kit. Shaking her head and gasping in surprise her eyes opened wide, taking a few steps back. "Wh-what?" Valeria managed to stutter, looking around at everyone. Where had they all come from so suddenly?! She recognized her cousins and Velocium, but Kimahri, she'd never seen him before. "Valeria." She said, completing Velocium's sentence. "Are...are you ok Velocium?"

Sonata bounced after Velocium, skidding to a stop inches in front of his collision with Kimahri. She watched them swim and splash around, slightly envious. Theo entered the water carefully and swam around the rock where Velocium had crashed. "You okay there, Vel?" he asked, looking down at him. Sonata's ears perked up in surprise.
"Is Vel okay?" she asked, and then decided that she would join in on the fun. Poised to jump, she leapt into the water with a big splash and started to paddle around the shallows.
"Look, Theo, I can swim!" she giggled, blowing bubbles on the surface of the water. Lifting her head up again, Sonata beckoned to Kai and Val, who were still standing on the shore.
"COme on in, guys!" she invited them. "This is fun..."

Kimahri smiled, at his cousin's silly antics, then nodded over to Valeria. "Nice to meet you. I think he's perfectly fine...Vel, can you-" He approached Velocium carefully, then the head turned around and shook his tiny mane wildly, droplets of water hitting at Kimahri's face.
"Come on, let's get all wet!! Oh WHOOPS. Sorry, Kim..."
"Heh...Heh...Heh...." Fire rose up in Kimahri's background as he grinned evilly. Velocium swam off, tailed closely by his cousin who was sppeding on the waters like a mad demonic racing boat.
"OHEMGEE! WAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!"

 Kazehime had been playing on the rocks at the edge of the stream, when she heard the noises of splashing and the unmistakeable arguement ensuing down a ways from where she played.
Her ears perked up and she stopped what she was doing. It sounded like... Oh! Her brother was over there. She leapt off of her rock and ran towards the noise, stopping when she reached the crowd.
Out in the water, she saw her brother as he narrowed in on his fleeing prey... their cousin. The fact didn't seem to worry her, as one of her favorite pasttimes was chasing Vel around. "Vel really needs to learn when not to tick off Kim." She recognized some of the other young Fafner from Brynhild. "Hi, everyone!"

Theo smiled warmly at the newcomer, waving his tail about and shaking a few stray drops of water from his hair. His eyes blinked with interest as he examined the girl; she was familiar, and he had seen her before along with Kimahri, but he wasn't sure what her name was... Kaze... Kazehime?
"Hi there!" he greeted her, flipping over onto his back and floating in the stream like an otter, his paws folded over on his furry chest.
"Are you gonna swim with us?" Sonata asked her, before glancing over at Vel and Kim and raising one eyebrow in surprise.
"They can swim really fast..." she murmured.
