Welcome to the Swedish General Discussion! This is where we discuss everything related to the Swedish language, including, but not limited to:
-asking specific questions about Swedish vocabulary and grammar (people who can speak Swedish fluently can help answer others' questions)
-recommendations for Swedish dictionaries, websites, etc
-and everything else about the beautiful langauge of Sweden! 3nodding
Please note that although speaking in Swedish is allowed here, it is not mandatory.
Let's start off with a few facts about the Swedish language:
Spoken in: Sweden, Finland and Estonia
Total number of speakers: 9.3 million
Language Family: Germanic languages (along with English, German, Danish, and others)
Regulated by: Swedish Language Council (semi-official)

I live in Sweden and i think it's a great language to learn i recommend it to everybody 3nodding wink
