The way you level up is really quite simple. Once you have compleated a task that you find noteworthy, such as killing or subduing an important minion, defeating a character of equil or lower level, compleatling an important (roleplay wise, such as finding your long lost mother after much traveling, or world wise, such as finding a way to stop a powerful mutant from leveling a city), or perhaps crafting an item of great power or importance. You may only gain one level at a time, except for extreamly unusual cercomestances, such as killing a mutant army singlehandedly, or defeating the leader of mutants, which can lead to mutiple benfits such as the aqquistion of two or three levels and potent GM awarded items.

When you can level up, your character gains 3 more points they can place into their ability scores, and may also craft items of greater complexity. Where a level one person can make simple clocks and work a computer, a level ten can create clockwork soldiers and hack into major networks covered in firewalls. They also gain an increase to the effectiveness of their favored weapons, two nanoids may be selected to have their effects multiplied by 1.5 times their effectiveness (round up if above .5, round down if below as per normal mathetmatics), and three weapons may have their effectiveness increased by 1.25 times thier effectiveness. A single weapon or nanoid may gain the entire bonus of leveling up multiple times (such as a pistol gaining three increases, this would raise a 1d6 weapon to a 2d6 weapon) and they gain a +1 bonus to hit when using the weapon.
The difficulty to hit them also increases. Each level up gives the character a +1 bonus to AC as they become more aware and harder to hit.
