Grand Opening
This month is the Grand Opening of The Art Institute of Gaia.
Can you believe it?
Well to kick things off we have a special event lined up for you.
It's our first art contest.
If you can create the best avatar art of one of the Moderators we will give you a prize.
The prize is an MC (from me) and it remains a mystery, but a hint for you is that it is worth over 15,000 gold.
The art can be of any of the crew or captains.
The art will be judged by myself and Unfamiliar Flying Objects, and trust me, we have experience in judging.
Rules of the contest: ◘ You only are allowed one entry unless you donate 500 gold to the AIG MULE for every extra piece of artwork you do.
◘ No nude artwork.
◘ All poses apply (except dirty ones)
◘ Coupling is permitted as well. You can couple the art with a mod and your self or more then one mod in the picture.
◘ All Gaia's rules apply.
◘ All of the Art Institute's rules apply.
◘ Please do not link/url the image. We want the image code so that we don't have to open up a new page.

Desolate Desire is having a NAME CHANGE. This is pretty big because I am going to have to go through and change a lot of my posts and even the name to my gallery. The new username is going to be Pickled Symphony. Please try not to copy this as i had to come up with it myself.
Please alert me of any changes that I need to make after the name change.

Hey guys!!!
So you all know that we are looking for new members right?
Well here is your chance to get a couple extra gold.
I am right now having trouble spending some extra gold that I have and so I decided to do this.
I will give each member 10 gold for every new member they introduce to the guild. It is starting from today so I am sorry for all those who have introduced people to this guild.
The people you find MUST BECOME MEMBERS in order for you to get the gold.
Rules are the following:
The members you get must be into some type of art.
There is NO maximum
ABSOLUTELY NO SPAMMING ANYONE OR ANY WHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Follow Gaia's TOS
Follow all guild rules
That is about all I can think of right now.

Hey everybody!
I guess you all know we are getting desperate for more members.
Well we have a special thread.
Unfamiliar Flying Objects will be hosting part of the Gaian Annual Ball and she has offered to put our guild in the ball.
This will give us an opportunity to gain new and more members.
I just thought this deserved a new announcement.

The reason that I am having this announcement is because (other that me) she has the most posts!
That deserves a good announcement.
She will be awarded with something in the near future.

Yes it is now that we are searching for the featured art of the month.
The only way to get on the featured art list is to POST YOUR ART IN YOUR GALLERIES.
If you do not, we may never be able to add your art to the front page of the guild!!!
The following is a list of things you get for having a featured piece of art:
Front Page introductory
Your art posted on the front page of the guild
Your art posted in the advertisement thread for our guild
5k from me
And a memorable little icon that goes in your gallery saying your art was once featured.
Now doesn't that sound fun?!
Well hurry up and post your all time BEST art!!!

It's been a while since I have posted here.
We have just gotten a heads up on something.
We seem to think as though our name may be one problem as to why we have not been as successful as we could be.
Do we need a new name?
If you think so please head to the SUGGESTIONS thread and post your new name idea(s).
We shall do yet another vote to see which name wins ok!
There is a HUGE chance that we will be keeping this name since everyone has made banners and such for us.
Side Announcement:
Want to advertise us?
If so, go into the BANNERS/AFFILIATES thread and choose your favorite banner and place it in your signature.
If you do this our guild may become more popular and we will have lots of new posters and people to meet and share art with.
Doesn't that sound like fun?

Yo. Just stopping in for our beloved captian, Pickled Symphony, to say that she is out of town for two weeks and that she has left me in charge I guess? I don't know if that's exactly right but oh well. The most important part is that she won't be able to log on so if you have any questions ask me and I'll answer to the best of my ability or get back to you soon after I phone her up quick.

Just talked to Miss Symphony who'd like me to make this announcment:
About a week ago Symphony and I talked about making a VJ channel on Gaia for the Art guild. It would feature the artwork of our precious guild's members. This would mean that a video would be made of participating artist's galleries, credit given, then uploaded into our channel.
It would be entirley voluntary. And I would most likely make the videos unless you would want to make your own. More information will be given at a later date.

Since we thought it would be better that more would take part on this
we made a thread in the chatterbox/cafeteria.
