Sable snuck out again. By now it was a common ritual. Mia would leave and Sable would sneak out. But she was getting bored with simply going around town again and again, harassing the locals, who surprisingly had started to figure out how to disarm her harmless practical jokes.
To be perfectly honest it was getting boring. Sable sighed as she walked towards town out of habit, wondering if anything amusing would happen today as she approached town.
When she first stepped into town she realized that her luck had changed as she looked with a fierce smirk on her face at the open manhole in front of her.

Such was a day for a young dustchild to coax his father into buying him some ice cream. The two were currently seperated as the father had some house calls to make. Cada on the other hand was not too inclined to follow so guilted some money off his pops and hurried into town for his favorite treat.
Skipping along currently, he licked and dripped, licked and dripped as his ice cream continued to melt in the growing heat. Sticky hands happily pointing at all the interesting shops in the area. It was then he noticed in the street a manhole and smiled gleefully as he hurried to the whole looking inside. "Ooohh..." He remained content to just stare imagining all kinds of wierd creatures lived in the city below. "Maybe its a door to the underground city..." He mused to himself holding his ice cream out before dropping it down the hole. "Now they won't be hungry." He smiled to himself skipping along as he hurried to the nearest candy store. He would by the underground people some candy this time.

Sable wasn't expecting the cold soft serve to fall stright on her head, but before she could give the kid who did it a peice of her mind he had walked off. She muttered to herself about how this was her fault for going the wrong way to a dead end and turning back to pass under the same manhole she had entered.
Somehow, no matter how bad of a mistake going the wrong direction may be she certainly didn't feel that soft serve on her head was adaquet punishment in the least.
Muttering many "ewwws" along with a few choice curses she carefully grabbed the dry cone and attempted to remove as much of the creamy sticky cold material as possible without contaminating herself further.
Which was a really odd thought considering she was standing in sludge and oils and probably rat entrails.... along with who knows what else the people of the city dumped in these pipes.

After purchasing a bag full of assorted candies, Cada had returned to the manhole kneeling in front of it. Taking out some gummy bears he smiled calling down to the underground people. "I got you some gummy teddies. I'll toss them down but you gotta catch'em, okay?" He smiled opening the bag to pour the whole page of gummy bears down the hole. "Catch okay?" He repeated, then proceeded to pull out other candies from his bag to pour into the hall.
With all candies gone he didn't think it proper to leave them carrying such things without a bag so in went the paper parcel as it fluttered to the underground people as well. "Hey! Be polite and say thank you or I won't get you anymore." He called down, now positive the people lived down there. His eyes flashing as he awaited his answer.

There was a word that Sable heard her mom shout in situations like this. But she decided that this time, being brash wouldn't get her the sweet justice for the soft stones of candy that just rained down on her, followed by a bag which is hanging curiously off her head.
Instead the grabbed the bag and tossed it on the ground before taking a deep breath, "Why don't you come down here so I can thank you properly?" She called back up. If the boy was any denser he might already be down here looking for the people he thought he was feeding.
To her joy he at least warned her well enough for the gummi's, so she had safely caught a few and was eating them. He did give them to her after all.

At the shout, Cada jumped back, jolted from his imagination to realize there really were people down there. He didnt REALLY believe there were underground people but it was fun to pretend and with his extra allowance money he had purchased some candies to bring his fantasy to life.
Poking his nose into the hole he tried looking down there but it was far too dark and he was not so inclined to go climbing down into a dark hole because someone asked him to. "NO!" He shouted back still peeking down in the manhole. "Where are you? I can't see!" He commented curious as ever. "I can go get someone to help you out." He called marginally, shifting his footing to get a better grip. However the cobble stone under his feet was slippery from a recent rain shower. Cada lost his footing and slipped hanging to the edge of the hole.
"Ah... " He cried out, clawing at the cobble stone road before his grip slipped again and he went plunging into the darkness. He screamed for a few moments before touching down, the slug from the sewer area breaking his fall for the most part. "Ow.." a groan of pain was all he could muster as he opened his eyes to darkness all around him save for the light from the hole above. He gave a silent thank you for that bit of light and didn't even budge as he looked up. Barely able to see the girl in front of him from the glimmer of light spilling in from above. "Hihi!" He called cheerfully momentarily forgetting his fear.

Sable smiled, "Hi!" She lifted her hand up, keeping it curved under almost as if she was getting ready to wave. But inside her hand was some of the soft-serve, and instead of waving she dumped the soft-serve on the boy's head. She considered the hooded boy before her. He looked so silly, she could really only laugh. "See now we look alike!" she pointed to her head where the soft-serve had fallen. She had gotten most of it out, but it was still obvious what had happened. She continued to giggle, "You know when I said come down I did mean to use that" she pointed at the ladder to go back up.

Cada looked to the ladder thankful of its presence as he stood. Looking at the girl's form he felt sorry for dumping all the soft-serve on her like that. He hadn't really thought anyone lived down here, more his imagination getting the best of him. Reaching up to her hair he tried brushing some of it off, feeling sheepish for such a mess. "If you come back to my house, you can get cleaned up." He said offering the invitation as an apology. "I know my papa doesn't like it when I'm all dirty and smelly." Nevermind the fact he always had a peculiar order even after his baths. Marijus had learned to get used to it eventually.

Sable considered the boy, he was really kind, almost really innocent like. She was slightly taken aback, no one was so openly honestly kind with her before, nor sincere about their apologies. "Hey its nothing don't worry about it." Sable giggled and waved her hands, "I thought it was rather funny acctually..." She smiled and put on her cute face, in the stench around them Sable was completely unable to smell the boys oder and thus took no mind to it "Since we are already messy, why don't we explore for a bit? Then we can go back to you place to clean up! Whaddya say?"

Cada looked around in the dim lighted area, it didn't look to fun exploring in such a place. Besides how were they going to see anything if they didn't have a flashlight or something? He stepped closer to the later holding it for dear life. "Maybe we should just go get cleaned up. We explore other places and it will be a lot more fun." He offered trying to hide the fact that he really didn't like dark places. But it was only when he noticed Mr. Happy was not in hand that his heart skipped a beat with alarm. "Mr. Happy?" He called as if the plush would respond, looking around in the slug he tried feeling for the doll but no luck. Soon he was in a panic, what if it had washed further into the drain... what if he'd lost it. "Mr. Happy! He's gone we have to find him... you have to help me find him!" He panicked momentarily forgetting his fears of the dark as he began walking further into said darkness.

Sable looked at the kid in front of her as best as she could considering the dim light of the sewer.... "Mister.......Happy?" she spoke slowly, trying to be sure that she heard right.　What was this kid? Three? "Um... sure, but what is a 'mister happy'?" she asked, partially scared, partially curious. She didn't mind looking for a weird person... potentially a thing...likely an imaginary person which would only further allow her to explore the sewers... But first to figure out what it was....

Cada looked around frantically not paying much attention to the girl in front of him for the time being. He was too worried over his plush to even think as he skittered about running his hands under the slosh of dirty water at their feet. Only when he realized his current course of action would not warrant a quick recovery did he step closer to the other dust child. "Please help." He plead tears welling in his eerie yellow-green eyes. "Mr. Happy is my plush friend. He's a little pink-ish purple tiger with no stripes. He wears a vest and a top hat too." He explained then went about looking again. "If we don't find him soon he'll get scared and it takes forever to calm him when he's scared." He spoke as if the plush were a real thing.

Nod slowly, smile.... make no sudden movements, don't appear alarmed... these were the thoughts going through Sables mind as if her life depended on it. "Alright, so where was the last place you saw him?" She asked the logical question that normal people would ask right about now... maybe it would help? Not that anything was really logical about the situation as it was....

"I had him just a moment ago before falling into the hole." He said his words sounding frantic but his actions calming just enough to think. He still continued to look around in the sludge but other than that his feet would not carry him too much further from the light spilling in from the manhole.
He continued to look around tears filling his eyes making it difficult to see but he did not give up. "You think he got swept away?" He finally asked a worried tone to his voice. He couldn't very well get another plush, this was his. The little girl gave it to him and he didn't want to lose her memory so carelessly.

"Well," Sable started, feeling almost bad for the kid. "we should check the surface first, since he might not have fallen with you. She suggested noting the kids fears, "After that if he isn't up there we can start looking in the sewers." she smiled. "I'm Sable by the way...."
