The black and white female walked slowly towards the indentation that she knew was her only daughter, for now it seemed her only child. But she knew something like she knew with the birth of Antigone that she had life inside of her, it had been long enough that the familiar weight was starting to set in, but being a larger female it was not uncommon for her weight to fluctuate.
"Iggy baby, have you seen your aunt?" she called warmly.
Antigone lay sprawled, stretched completely out from nose to tail in the savanna grasses basking in the magnificent mid day sun. It was a warm day, but one of them that the winds kicked up enough to pull the heat off of you before it set in. She shivered and mused staring off into the sky. She was nervous, not an uncommon feeling with a mother like Jedi. The black adult had done one of her famous disappearing acts and returned in a disgustingly good mood, when asked Jedi replied that she'd say another time, she had to be sure. But time had passed and even with the heat Antigone wanted to know, and thought it was time to get some answers.
Speak of the goddess! She thought and turned her head slowly towards her mother, "No, she was around a bit ago, not sure." She couldn't think of much else to say, without jumping on her mother with questions and turned her head just as slowly back to the skiy.

Janja was not having a bad day, but she wasn't feeling particularly cheerful either. What with the task she'd set for herself, insisting no one else go and talk to their parents when they found them.. she had to work up her nerve to admit to what had happened, even though she now had a scapegoat of sorts. She didn't know what she would do without Hayate, he made everything so much easier. Humming quietly, she'd gone off for another walk to see if she might find any sign of Kijibwa and Siku. They were in the right general area, they just had to hope no one had made a major move.
Going in one big circle, she found herself heading back towards her niece who was now joined by her sister. Putting on a smile, she picked up the pace to catch up. She'd been meaning to talk to Jedi.
"Hey!" she called.

"Oh, I see," she blinked a few times looking at Antigone, why was her baby being so short? Jedi knew that she'd been a little distant with exploring new feelings and sensations. While Antigone was in her womb she was healing, finding a way to cope with something that looked just like her attacked, she did not allow herself the time to appreciate pregnancy.
"Maybe we should talk about her more often," Jedi said jokingly as she heard Janja's voice, "Hey to you too! I was looking for you." She shifted and smiled warmly at Janja. "I have big news."
Antigone lazily slunk to her feet and smiled hazily at her aunt, Aunt Janja was one of her favorite lions, along with her cousins and of course her mother, she'd only met one or two other creatures and none were lions, so obviously she had no one to compare. But they were her family, and her favorite.
"Maybe we should," she smiled eyes flicking to the corner to look at Jedi, "News?"

Janja smiled back at Antigone before glancing up to Jedi, not surprised to know that Jedi had been looking for her- though hearing 'I have big news' was startling. There wasn't much to report on a trip like this, the only things they really had planned were begging forgiveness from mom and dad. Unless Jedi found them, she couldn't imagine what it could be..
Unless it had to do with her little mysterious trip.
"Oh?" she asked curiously, glancing at Iggy to see if the girl had any idea what was going on.

She nodded sharply and looked from Janja to Antigone, how to approach the subject, she was usually just chubby and dense, but growth had done a lot for the female, their journeying forced her to grow up, not in a bad way, and not too quickly, but she was more adult now than before. She smiled, "Well, I know you've both been wondering where I wandered off to, and well..I suppose it's time to tell." she paused, "You both know that I get antsy when spending too much time in one place, or staying too long enclosed in the jungle. I got in my of my itchy feet moods and wandered off and met a male."
She paused allowing that to set in, "We..well had a very amazing night together before splitting ways and now..." she looked to Antigone, "Get ready to be a big sister." Her blue eyes watched for the reaction they both would have.
Antigone stood wide eyed shocked as she watched her mother stumble through the sentences, she hadn't even noticed the added weight, but looking she was slightly chubbier when really with travel she should be thinning out. "Mother..I..." she looked to Janja for help replying. Was this a good thing? Was this a bad thing? her soft blue eyes locked on her auntie waiting.

Janja looked from Iggy to Jedi when she got no help from her niece, she raised an eyebrow when Jedi brought up her little bout of wandering. So she was right, this was connected somehow. She didn't get any time to come up with her own theories about what Jedi was going to say, for her sister soon stumbled upon very, very obvious words. She'd met a male.
Immediately Janja's steel blue eyes flew to Jedi's belly. She was getting bigger, but Jedi sometimes did that and always being somewhat chubby it was harder to tell something like this. But pregnancy was the only possible reason she would bring this up. She glanced up when Jedi finally continued, saying something that she was rather surprised to hear in front of Iggy. Luckily, the comment made her smile when she looked over at her niece though she too was speechless.
