 Aeris was looking after her three childs. Her childs ! Finally they come out of the basket.
The little boy was the first one who hatched from his tiny basket, he had the color of a cookies, she thought amusing. Then a little girl, she was on the majority black but she had her papa marks. Then the last one, an other cute little girl, all white with her father marks too.
It was a day full of emotion, Xantir was by her side all the time, she couldn't resist giggling when he saw them, his face was so cute. The little girl gave some kicks on the basket, it was time to be out, and it was so dark inside. Finally she was able to go out of it. She was not the first one, she saw she had a brother who come out before her. She looked at her, she was actually pretty black herself. She looked at her parents, she knew it was them for sure, she heard them so often. "Mommy" she said first rushing on her mother side. Then she looked at his father with her tiny eyes. "Dad" she said towards the big stallion, he seemed so strong.
Then she looked at the little animals near her parents, she didn't knew what they were yet.

 Xantir watched as one by one the wicker baskets stirred. An enormous relief washed over him at the sight. They had been in there for so long he had been doubtful that they would ever come out. With a soft smile he nuzzled his mate lovingly.
His already unbelievably bright eyes lightened as the orangey brown colored baby boy of his peeked his head out, followed closely by a little girl, almost entirely black bearing his markings. He looked down to the last basket, the one he had spent nearly ever moment watching.  It was dark and cramped inside the woven basket but it was warm. She almost didn't want to break out but she could hear movement outside. So much movement. She let out a little whinny trying to let the outside world know that she was there before pushing upward with her head, neck and shoulders, trying to stand. After a few moments of pushing she felt the resistance stop and a sudden rush of light flooded her vision.
Unsure of what to make of it she immediately sunk back into her basket longing for its darkness. When the safe feeling of black didn't return she was forced to look around the world of light her bright eyes blinking.Xantir smiled as the little black filly came rushing over to her parents' sides. A strong feeling of pride swam over him looking at her. She was every bit as beautiful as her mother and seemed to have captured a great bit of her spunk. "That's right. I'm your dad." He said softly to the little girl before allowing his eyes to wonder over the other two. He grew a little worried to see the little white one cowering in her basket. It seemed that his fear had manifested itself in her.

Aeris looked at all their childrens. They were lovely. She nuzzled the little black one. "Hey my love. Your name is Tamara sweety, you guessed right, i'm your mom, Aeris, here is your dad, Xantir, and the two small animals at our side are Reno the raccoon and Amal the lioness. Welcome to this world".
The she eyed the last girl who seemed to have difficulties with this new world, she hoped, their little girl will not be too afraid to be out of her basket.
Tamara looked at her mom, she had a sweet voice, really calm too. And his dad seemed so nice, and he sure loved her mom she was sure of it. Her mom had such beautiful style, and hair. They both had green eyes, she wondered if hers were green too ? She tried to look her eyes but it was impossible. But her bother and her sister both got it so she guessed she did to.
"Mom, dad, Reno and Amal, alright got it, what my siblings name ?"

"That is Ijn." Xantir answered the little black filly gesturing to his other daughter. "And your brother is named Jasper." He smiled at her, she learned very quickly.
The white filly's ear twitched at the sound of her name. She had heard it many times before while she was still shut in her little safe haven. She looked in the direction the voices were coming from to see who was speaking. Her eyes slowly began to adjust to the light and she could see shapes. Five of them. Three were like her, she could tell just by seeing them and the other two were very odd indeed. With a small sound she pushed herself up again before walking shakily over to the group.
Xantir smiled as his other girl approached. It was good to see her fully. "Hello little one." He said softly staying still to avoid frightening her. She seemed rather skittish and he didn't want to scare her away.

Aeris looked tenderly at her little girl coming their way, did she recognized them as her parents already or not ? look like she was a really shy one. She nuzzled Xantir "She took a lot from you it seems" and she said it in the best way, it was a compliment for her.
"Tamara" she smiled. "I like that name thank you mum, dad." She looked her sister and brother way. "So Jasper is my brother and Ijn my little sister." She was really happy, she already learned some things. She walked towards her sister. She just wanted to be by her side, she seemed she needed help.

Xantir smiled at his lovely mate. He knew she meant the best by what she said but he couldn't help but feel that every present worry. If she took after him so much did that mean she'd fall into the same problems he had? He hoped not.
Ijn's bright green eyes looked from one form to the next. The little black one next to her looked like a mixture of the two large ones. She had called her 'sister' and while she didn't fully understand what that word meant she knew that they shared a special bond. She gave the other filly a shy smile to show she was happy. "Sister." She said softly her voice sounding like a little bell. "And...mom...and dad..." She said looking to the bigger ones of her kind. She didn't know what the words meant either but she knew who they were. It was instinct. They were her parents. They were the ones that would keep her safe.
She looked back at her sister and took a few steps closer to her so that she was pressed against her side. The closeness made her feel safe in this strange world.

Aeris could notice that Xantir was a little afraid after what she said. She went close to him, and whispered in his ears "don't worry my dear, she will be ok, we will protect her from anything". Then she nuzzled him softly. "They are my childs, there is no way i will let someone hurt them."
She looked at her two fillies, it was great for Ijn to have a big sister, look liked she would felt a little more comfortable.
Tamara stayed close to her sister, she was the big sister, the little one will need her by her side so of course she will stay. "Ijn, we look alike, will not the same color, but we have the same marks, dad's marks, isn't it great ?"

Ijn nodded. It was great but she was curious now, if she looked like her sister that was good, but what exactly did she look like? She bowed her head to look down at her legs. She was pink from the knee down with a few black spots circling her lower leg. Her hooves were black. Satisfied with this she lifted her head and looked at her back half. She was mostly white, like her mom it seemed, with three little paw prints on her hind quarters. She smiled at her sister. "We are...almost opposites." She said softly with a smile. It was almost true. Where Ijn had no color her sister was black and where she had the most color her sister was white. "It is good...right?" She asked feeling that she needed it to be confirmed so that she didn't upset anyone.
He smiled at Aeris and returned her nuzzle with one of his own. It was such a typical mother response that it warmed his heart. "No...nothing will hurt them." He looked at the little foals then back to Aeris. He'd protect all three of them. His eyes flickered over the little boy. Hopefully he'd teach his son to do the same.

 The small colt felt cramped and uncomfortable. His legs wanted to stretch, and they pushed restlessly against the edges of the wicker basket that had been his shelter for so long. Now though, he finally felt ready to leave the suddenly claustrophobic confines of his space. Using his nose, he slowly pushed open the top of the basket, and snorted in surprise at the rush of cool air. He sniffed at it delicately before pushing his entire head out into the open.
The small colt blinked several times as his eyes adjusted to the sudden change in light, and he stared around him in wonder. Pushing himself upright, he stood on wobbly legs and tumbled out of the basket. Glancing around him, he watched in delight as two similar baskets revealed what he instantly knew to be his sisters. Both of these sisters immediately went to two figures standing nearby. But the colt hung back a moment, his mind whirling with questions and thoughts. He was a bit overwhelmed, but after a moment he bounded over joyously to where his mother and father and sisters stood.

Aeris looked at her children. They were all close to them. It was a really nice feeling. "Do you want to go outside now ?" she asked. It was time for them to see the world.
Tamara smiled to her sister. "Yeh we are the opposite but it's what make us close." she nuzzled her sister. And then she jumped towards her brother to play with his tail.
"Let's go outside, like mum said" she said joyful, she really had a lot of energy

Xantir smiled at his little boy. He too seemed to have liked his basket but also seemed to be willing to accept change readily. He grinned at the three then looked to Aeris with a smile. Taking them outside was a wonderful idea. It was better to acquaint them to new concepts before they got to thinking that this teepee was the only place in the world.
"Close is good." She said softly with a smile then she jumped with a start as her brother suddenly appeared at her side. She offered him a small smile before moving away from her siblings to stand by her fathers side. She felt the safest with him, he was the biggest after all. "O-outside?" She asked her mother nervously peering around her father's leg. She knew that word. The meant leaving the new area that she had only just become accustomed to and going somewhere entirely new. Her sister seemed to want to go though and she would hate to see her sad for something she did. "O-okay...t-t-that sounds l-like...fun..." She gulped but kept a smile on her face in attempts to disguise her fear.

At the mention of outside, the colt's ears sprang to attention, and he practically quivered with excitement. There was more to see and he wanted to see it all. He could just tell that there was a million things that he wanted to explore and learn about. He gazed up adoringly at his mother and father, and smiled fondly at his sisters. It was all so exciting and so new.
One thing stopped him though, as a comment made by his sister finally registered in his mind. "Jasper?" he tried the word out loud. That was his name! "Jasper!" he said again happily. It was a good name, and he liked it.
That done, he sprang around on his small limbs, radiating child-like energy. He was ready to go.

Aeris was ready to stand up and walked outside but she saw her little Ijn being uneasy with the idea. "I will stay inside, if someone want to stay with me. The two others can go outside with dad, we will come after, for sure."
Tamara was not really listenning right now, she was the closest to the entry, waiting for the others. Then she heard her mum, strange it was her idea. She looked at her sister, ohh that was it. She smiled, it was ok if Ijn was not ready, she will wait for her. "Ijn you can stay with mum a moment then ? We will go ahead with Jasper and dad and you will join us when you two are ready." Saying it she put her head outside the teepee, it was so bright.

Xantir laughed a bit at his son saying his name over and over again. He could vaguely remember the feeling of not knowing his own name. It seemed the orange boy was taking it quite it bit better then he had though. "Yes that's you." He said figuring the foal had already figured that one out judging by his eager bounding.
He blinked a few times at Aeris not sure why she had suddenly decided to stay behind. He looked from her to Ijn and suddenly understood. Oh well. Not every child was born with an adventurous streak. He smiled at his mate and gave her an affectionate nudge. "Don't stay long." He said softly before making his way to the teepees entrance. "Alright kids, don't stray far from me or I'll send Amal after you." He said giving a nod to the little lion. He wasn't sure how well that would work as a warning though because the black feline looked more like she was about to fall asleep then hunt down a foal.
He shook his head then pushed his way outside into the bright sunlight. It was a beautiful day; sunny with a few clouds. It was perfect weather for exploring a new world.
Ijn looked to her mother with big grateful eyes before stepping around her father's legs to practically glue herself by the lovely mare. She smiled up at her before turning her attention to her sister. "Alright..."She said, voice just above a whisper. "I will." She didn't know for sure if she would or not though. She felt safe inside with everyone around her. Outside she didn't know what was waiting and that was a scary thought.
She shivered a bit and watched as her father disappeared into the outside world. Immediately it felt as though something had gone missing and she didn't like it so she buried her face against her mother's belly, seeking comfort.

Jasper bounded happily around the confines of the teepee, shaking with excitement, ready to go. He stopped though in confusion when his mama said she would stay behind. He glanced around and noticed that his sister Ijn didn't look as comfortable with the thought of leaving as the rest of them did. He turned and watched as his dad exited, and smiled at the warm brightness that waited outside. But first, he trotted over to where his mother and sister stood, and he nuzzled them both gently.
"It's okay Ijn. You wait til you're ready and then you can join us!" That done, he bounded out of the teepee behind his father, blinking rapidly at the sudden increase of light. It was so bright and colorful, and Jasper had to stop and stare to take it all in.
