Ok...first of my recomendations =P tehe ^_^
this is about the first game i actually liked and hunted down when i didnt have it =P
ok so heres the story line:
....well....im gona just tell u the plot to this up till the main plot....so ill try my best =P
ok so ur main character is Cloud (u are able to change names though...in the begining) and u are a new member of AVALANCHE....a terrorist group...think of this group as HIPPIES....cause they fight for the planet....against a company named Shinra (these are like the industrial peepz who kill the planet for energy and s**t)....shinra developed a machine to suck MAKO energy from the planet so that everyone can live comfortably (think of MAKO engergy like the blood of the PLANET)...
ok so the leader of this group is BARRET....a one hand guy....and on the other hand he has a...machine gun for a hand =P...u go with him and u fight and battle till u get to the reactor....destroy it...then go back to the CLUB were u meet TIFA....apperently cloud and tifa are childhood friends and after alil bit u get a flash back of a promise between them =P...ok now its time to go destroy the other power plant =P so now u go with tifa, barret, and yourself...but right when u about to blow it up...ho ho ho the pres of the shinra corporation shows up and traps u...then sends a machine to kill u....u kill it...but it blows up...sending cloud down to the slums
Slums - Midgar...were u are...is a city in the sky...so to speak...there are the poor people (slums) and then the corporation build a city above the slums (like 50 meters or something above)....
how cloud survives a 50 m drop...hell if i know...plus crashing through the roof of a church 0.o....and bam u meet aeris....u save her from some peepz....one thing leads to another and she shows u how to get back to sector 7 slums (were ur club house is...cause u currently in sector
cool ...well now u see tifa...and the back of a truck....a whole bunch of s**t happenes and u rescue her from a guy....then u make it back to sector 7.....but the avalanche team are fighting shinra....shinra is trying to blow the pillar that holds the sector 7 city above the slums....u try to stop it...but fail...and all of sector 7 is crushed....so u want payback...so u go to shinra corp...bust in...do some s**t...and u get imprisoned....after a talk with aeris and tifa i think....the door is open with blood everywere....some s**t happenes and u go to the pres office...and he dead...with a KATANA in his back....a katana used only by one man SEPHIROTH =P...some more s**t happenes and now:
ur main goal....to find wtf is happening with this sephiroth guy =P
ok yes i know that is freaken long
crying .....heres my ratings =P
Sound: 4/5 personally...i think the Final Fantasy themselves series has good music...but once number 7 came out...the music owns all =P...... unfortunately ur characters dont talk
crying Graphics: 4/5....considering this is a ps1 game...its pretty ok graphics...not the best...but the movie stuff is pretty cool...even if its only a few cg movies =P
Gameplay: 4.5/5 ok the battle system...alil repedative....but its not like just pressing X will own everyone no matter wat....u need to level up or else u need to pay attention....and its hard to even get above level 70....and above level 80 is were u should be able to take peepz no problem....but there are ALOT ALOT of SIDE QUESTS....one sidequest requires the defeat of 2 guys....and they are the hardest bosses in the ENTIRE FINAL FANTASY SERIES....yes thats right THE ENTIRE......even level 100 with cheats its freaken hard to beat them.....walking around might get alil boring though =P
Overal: 4/5 i personally think this is about the best game eva =P u can play it many many many times over again ^_^ and beating it 100% ....its rediculous how long it will take...so its not a short game....3 disks involved =P
