Small creatures fluttered around the starry filly. They had wings just like she did and just like her mother, but they were too tiny to be soquili. Ziva wrinkled up her nose as one of the little critters landed on her muzzle. The filly went cross-eyed as she tried to look at it closely. Several others landed on her rump, making her jump as their small feet tickled her skin. "Ack! What are you things? Go away!" She galloped off and away from the flower bed. Then she looked back and sighed, happy to know that they didn't follow her.

It was a very sunny day when Kenji decided to go for a walk before his family got back from their trip to the beach, which they had so kindly excluded him from when he was asleep. He wandered further than usual, towards the grasslands which divided the forest from the beach. That was when something caught his eye. It was very small, blue, and had very pretty wings that let it fly. He blinked, confused and started to chase after the little creature.
It led him to the edge of the forest where the little butterfly disappeared from his sight. Where had it gone? When he was just about to turn back, another butterfly flew across him as he darted after it.

Ziva slowly made her way back to the flower bed. She looked around to make sure none of the butterflies came towards her. It's not that she was afraid of them, it was just that she didn't like getting ambushed by the little creatures. The filly relaxed and layed down between at the beautiful sunflowers. She was about to sniff one when a blur and gust of wind blew past her. Ziva sat there, wide-eyed, nothing knowing what just happened. What the heck was that?! Jerking her neck to the side, she saw another foal, chasing something. Quickly she blinked to make sure she was seeing correctly. It seems the colt did not notice her as he galloped by. She remained on the ground, not bothering to get up to meet the other. He was apparently too busy running after whatever it was that he was chasing.

Kenji chased after the little butterfly until it disappeared behind the trees and out of his sight. He had done enough excersice for today, and now he was tired. He sighed as he turned around to slowly take a long walk home, but possibly taking a longer route so that he could enjoy the beauty of spring. He felt a heavy scent coming from a flowerbead ahead. All the flowers smelt so pretty. Maybe mother would like one? He trotted happily to the flowerbed and knelt down his head so that he could pick a flower.
He saw something blue behind the flowers. He'd never seen a flower as blue as this type of blue before. He bent down further to push away the flowers with his nose to get to the blue one. When he saw it, his jaw dropped. It looked kind of like him, but with butterfly wings. He stood there, wide eyed and not able to speak. Then he felt his head spinning and felt himself fall to the floor beside the filly when everything went black.

Ziva opened her eyes as soon as she heard movement nearby. Her tiny heart jumped to her throat when a green-striped head popped out from behind the flowers. At first she was in total shock but then she felt a sudden anger from having been scared half to death. The filly narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth to scowl the colt, but didn't get the chance to say a word. She jumped when the foal, for some odd reason, fainted right before her eyes. Ziva began to panic, not knowing what to do in this kind of situation. Her neck was jerked each way as she looked for some type of help, but to her dismay, there was none to be found. Oh man! This is so NOT cool!!! An unpleasant groan escaped her lips as she thought of only one thing to do. Quickly she walked closer to the colt and lowered her head towards him. He is so paying me back for this. Ziva started to lick his face, wondering if this would help him wake up.

Kenji could feel something wet licking him. Was it the massive butterfly girl thing? He felt a sudden surge of panic through him, but kind of enjoyed the warm feeling he was feeling. It made him not want to wake up from this dream, but slowly he felt the sunlight pierce through his dream and open his eyelids. He yawned heavily, what a great dream that was! He stood on his feet, wondering why he had fallen asleep. He shrugged, and turned to head back home when there she was again, the blue butterfly girl. So... it wasn't... a dream? he thought as he felt his face turn bright red; the warmth felt like it was giving him a heat stroke. Realization struck him. She had licked him back to life.
"AHHH!" he shrieked as he felt how humiliated he was, fainting in front of a girl and having to make her wake him up. Thousands of apologies fluttered through his head, but his voice seemed lost and his lips couldn't move. He felt the world spin again, and he was back on the floor, fighting the blackness engulfing him and willing to stay awake to apologize to the pretty, pretty butterfly girl.

The filly stepped back as he started to move. She tilted her head as he got up and just stared at her as if he had just seen an evil spirit. There was a slight redness on his face, but you couldn't really tell from his dark green coloring. Suddenly there was a loud shriek, the sound was so painful to her hearing so she flattened her ears against her head. Ziva saw the colt collapse to the ground once more, making her eyes widen in horror. Ack! Not again! She felt so horrible around him. Was she too hideous to look at? Was there something on her face that terrorized the living daylights out of the colt? Ziva sighed and quickly, but gently swat him on the face with her tail. "C'mon, wake up! I'm not going to be licking you all day." A smirk appeared on her somewhat innocent face. "Fine, don't get up. I'll just use you as a seat." So she sat on him, trying to provoke him to jump up.

Kenji couldn't but help wait for the licking again. He worried if his sanity was in order; hoping for some strange looking butterfly filly to lick him awake? Maybe he had bumped his head when he fainted and damaged some part of the brain that controlled his 'common sense'.
His hopes were in vain, for he felt something heavy sit on him and jerk him up from his sleep. What was she thinking? Was she insane?!? He turned around to look at her, and felt queasy again. Oh please, don't make me faint again! he willed. Her starry coat made him dizzy the way it sparkled in the sun. He realized that he didn't dare look her in the eyes, but was concentrating on her slender legs. He lifted his head a little, almost at her head and gulped loudly when he saw her confused expression looking back at him. He was very frightened, he hadnt met a filly this pretty and hated himself for giving her a bad impression of him. Again, thousands of words filled his head but he couldn't find a single thing to say to her. His tongue was tied in a big knot, which showed no promises of untangling itself any time soon.

She blinked several times as he continued to stare at her. There seemed to be many emotions running through him. Ziva saw them quickly changing on his face, first it was of want that changed to worry to confusion to emabarrassment and finally to panic. Slowly she lifted a leg and poked him on the nose with her hoof. "Are you alright? You seem to hav gotten a little pale. Is something wrong?" He remained silent and she could have sworn that she felt him tremble slightly beneath her. Maybe her weight was the problem, probably cutting out his circulation or she wasn't allowing him to breathe proper. Ziva jumped off him and bowed an apology, "I'm so sorry! I hope I didn't hurt you." Now it was her turn to be embarrassed at her very unintelligent move to sit on him.

"I, I, I.." he muttered. "You, v-v-verry pretty." He could feel his face heating up again as he turned away to hide his face from her.
"I mean! Umm, thank you. Umm, Miss." he added politely. "Thank you for licking me-" he regretted saying the words the moment they left his mouth. What am I saying! Am I insane! he scowled at himself. There were just too many thoughts running through his mind; he had difficulty separating what he should and shouldn't say and was making a complete fool of himself. He planted his feet onto the ground firmly and took a deep breath, trying not to look into the butterfly-girl's intelligent and pretty eyes.
"I-I'm Kenji." he stuttered, pushing back and forth the leaves at his hooves.

She couldn't help but giggle at the silly colt. He was being too cute, in a very strange kind of way. Ziva blushed when she heard his compliment and she looked away, towards the flowers. "Uh...thanks." Her tail swayed back and forth as she thought of what else she could possibly say to him. The filly tossed her forlock away from her eyes and smiled kindly at the dark green foal. "It's a pleasure meeting you...Kenji." Ziva tilted her head to get a better look at his unique face. "I'm Ziva by the way." Her butterfly wings fluttered joyfully behind her.

Ziva's pretty wings were hypnotizing Kenji into a warm and comfy sleep. He faught against his drooping eyelids which couldn't help but relax at the beauty which he could see before him. Finaly, managing to tear his gaze from the beautiful wings, he looked into her pretty face. Her eyes were almost the same color as his. He decided it was time to speak so that she knew that he was still alive and wasn't about to faint again.
"Ziva.." he tested, liking the way the name rolled off his tongue. "Thats such a beautiful name..." he gazed into her eyes then tried to concentrate on the grass instead. "Umm.. your wings." he started, not knowing how to express his thoughts. "Where did you get them? They look just like butterfly wings... Did you take them from a massive butterfly or something?" He asked in wonder and amazement at what his imagination was showing him.

She stared at him as her mind took in the words that he spoke. Ziva giggled and tossed back her forelock, "No silly, I was born with these. My momma says I got them from her, but she had smaller ones when she was a foal." The filly stretched out her neck, bringing her closer to his face. "Those markings look just like mine...but better." Making a mock pout, she continued to eye his amazing stripes. "I wish I had that many. They look so cool." An innocent smile graced her small and delicate face. Her tail flickered back and forth in an attempt to rid her of a few pesky bugs.

Now that Ziva was upclose, he could see that she too had markings on her face just like him, except he had more. "But, yours are pretty too. They're more intricate." he had some difficulty pronouncing the word, and wasn't too sure what it meant but mother had told him it meant complicated.
"What? You were BORN with them?" his jaw dropped in shock as he pictured a basket with huge wings on the side. "So.. you mean... You could fly when you were a basket??" he continued. "That is sooo cool!!" he jumped and pranced around, wishing he could fly when he was a basket.
