There's a strange, dragonlike creature that occasionally flies by my house that landed last summer. Everyone who saw it said it looked like a "skinny orange bird without feathers". One accounted witness says its face was white and looked like a skull. I went to see it. It was about as big as a squirrel, and looked like a pterosaur with a white face, bronze skin, transparent wings and scattered gray "Hairs" on its head. It made a sickly squawking noise when anyone got near it. I didn't get a picture, but my neighbor did. I fed it a piece of bread and it let me touch it, but then it almost bit me... awfully brave. It flew away after an hour or so. Sounds unbelievable, but it happened.

I have new info on this thing. Its cry sounds like a sickly crow. It now sits outside my window EVERY MORNING and squawks its little lungs out until I walk outside. And if the fellow's not outside my window, he's terrorizing the dogs. Just screeching away at them. I don't want to call animal control, I think I'm taking a liking to this critter.

Sweet. Sounds like you got yourself a new little buddy... I have no experience what so ever with flying lizards/Dragons other than bedtime stories and nightmares. Sorry good luck.

You should take lots of pictures, and record it on a camcorder or webcam if you can. This critter might be some sort of endangered creature, or even just a normal native animal that has had a really unfortunate accident.

He hasn't been around lately because of several severe storms..... I hope he's all right. I miss his incessant squawking...... kinda sorta. sweatdrop

lol I bet I could live without it. We have an airconditioner that makes this loud banging sound. And since my room is right down the hall, it keeps me up at night. But its gotten to the point that when theres no lound banging I feel uncomfortable like somethings wrong... Its seriously messed up. talk2hand

Why haven't you got a picture of this magnificent creature? I'm pretty sure others would like to see it. I thought it would be easy to get a picture if it's outside your window every morning.

Yeh, I doubt it would show in photos. Not only would the flash scare it, but MY CAMERA SUCKS IN OUTDOOR LIGHTING. It doesn't have an outdoor setting, so light shines into the lens and nothing appears on the camera except for glare.

You said your neighbor got a picture. Ask them about it. See if you can borrow it and scan it (or upload it, if from a digital camera) or something.
Or, try to get it to come inside, since your camera messes up with outdoor lighting. Since it takes food from you, try using that to your advantage. And you can turn off the flash, right? Either that, or wait til it's not so bright out when he's outside your window.
Since it has no feathers, yet has been flying, it can't be a bird.

I think it's just a bat or a bird with some sort of skin/fur/feather OR WHATEVER disease. Sounds cool though. I'd like to see it.
