Is there a start date for the RP? Would anyone else like to discuss their elves.. you know, like if two are playing wolfriders they might have some shared history (friends/mates/family/rivals..)
Any hint on how all the elves are going to be brought together eventually?
I would like to try a Wavedancer. A bit conflicting as there seems to be two sets: first and unofficial, then the official. One with sound names, the other with descriptive names. Anyone want to give me some tips?

Let me try to help. 1) Currently, I'm waiting for Starsong to log in on Monday so she and I can begin posting RP as people can see the formatting in action. Also, I'm waiting for Shattered Moons to receive and approve character requests. Starsong and I are both here to assist anyone with questions. I'd be happy to discuss backgrounds and the like with anyone that is interested. My character is quite well traveled before the cataclysm so it's possibe he knows a lot of elves. Friend and foe a like. smile 2) The elves will be brought together as the first two characters, Starsong and myself, RP finding them. This can be with one or both of us, and can be done as we are traveling to find a place to camp, or while hunting, or whatever works best for the new character being introduced. 3) Official or unofficial, both are welcome! If you'd like to use a wavedancer template that mimicks any of the cannon comics, you're welcomed to do so, with the exception that the flesh-shaped Winowill not be a part of your tribe. You are welcome to 'create' a new tribe of wavedancers, giving them whatever tribal culture you'd like, but they should stick to the basic wavedancer power structure in terms of elfin abilities and flesh shaping. So, in this regard, you are welcome to use any type of naming scheme you deem beast fits your concept. I would suggest that for ease of play, you not have gills only and a tail. It would just make things too hard in a land-based game. When the group settles and there's water to live under, then that would be a different story.

No start date yet, possibly this week we'll be hammering out the details and starting formal RP at that point. As for discussion, if there are elves that want to work on back stories together, they can do so via PM with each other, or you can discuss things in the OOC lounge. We are still tyring to earn the money to get sub forums up and going, that is where the RP will be primarily held.
The starting RP will be done by savith and I and it will be posted soon. Other elves can come into contact with us as we settle down to create the new holt. Once I get the map up you can see where we will be. The location we have picked will be accessable by most elves, including wavedancers.
Since savith and I come from the TwoMoons MUSH, we are using that as the basis for RP. I beleive they used the official Elfquest RPG. Right now we aren't sticklers on being exact. If you know a little bit about wavedancers, you can use any name you'd like, descriptive, or sounds. I'm sure either of them would be just fine.

alright, I'm confused.
Do we just RP in the area indicated (such as The Ruins seems to be the ocean for my Wavedancer)?
Do we need our elves approved first?
How much time has passed since the moons shattered vs your two traveling?

You can RP whereever you want, but currently myself and savith are in "the Ruins" subforum. That is where we will be for a little bit. Each part of the map coresponds to a sub-forum that is why the map is being uncovered slowly as we explore it.
If we did not PM you about changes to your character concept, then you are good to play.
About 3 months has passed since the cataclysm.
You can start your own thread in the sub-forum "The Ruins" and begin your RP if you'd like, once Savith and I are done creating the backstory RP we can engage you, or you can wait until we settle at the predesigned spot and you can join us then. Its up to you, we should have the backstory finished tonight or tomorrow.

Well hi all!!! biggrin I am so very happy to see others who love EQ as much as I did and still do... Aside from that I am as you see a cat elf... Woo Hoo lol... Everyone bare with me as I get back into the swing of being descriptive... I will try hard... I am just going to wing it as I go... If I do something wrong feel free to point it out to me... My tiger bites not me... whee lol Anyway I am just happy to be here and getting to know all of you...

Welcome to both of you! I am looking forward to RPing with you. Your avie's look great! And Midnight Dancer's char concept looks great too! Once you get the Char concept up your free to RP. Currently we are RPing in the Sub Forum "The Ruins" not sure if others will know where you are unless its obvious or you tell us.
Feel free to make your own topic in any of the sub forums and if its appropriate we'll engage RP in your topic. If you don't wish to start your own topic, just join us in one of ours already made.

Does anyone know why the elves picked big caats other then lions to bond with??? Most big cats live with family for a few years then move on... Except the lion that is... At any rate my char will follow some tiger things and some elf things... Like the wolfriders do... Tell me please if you think she is missing something or being to tiger like... I at times tend to get lost in the animal part as I do so love both wolves and tigers... Giraffe's are my most fav animal but that would look silly... A Giraffe rider... LOL xd Kind of hard to sneek on those things... At any rate I tend to babble so I will keep this short...
