The sun! The glorious glorious sun! The bright rays, the wonderful air! ...And just like that, it started to rain... Again. The raccoon colored mare had just about enough of the crazy weather. It'll get sunny again in like... five seconds... Look! She thought to herself rather angrily. And right as she finished that train of thought, the bright, wonderful, happy sun came out again. Joy. At least have some stability! She moaned to herself in her head. The mare had been camping out under a thickly covered tree as the insane weather moved on by. Rain, on and off, on and off. Was there no end to this maddness?! Sienna simply could not understand how her mother and grandfather could just stand out in the weather as if it were nothing but a bird or a small insect. Here she was, trying not to be miserable and there they were saying out and minding their own business. They'd only ever find shelter when it rained hard... She muttered in her fuming brain. Dark red eyes looked out, under the cover of the trees to see that the weather seemed to be better... and it was staying that way! Good! Maybe I can even get something to eat! A brilliant green coat stood out from the rest of the mildly gloomy scenery as a rain drenched stallion made his way out of the sudden rain storm. His mane stuck to his coat like a wet rag and his tail was dragging a little bit in the wet earth... but he didn't really notice it. At that moment, his looks were the least of his concerns. "Where did that girl go too!?" The stallion cried out to himself rather pitifully. For someone who could walk in the rain like it was nothing, he sure was acting rather childish at the moment. It was even a wonder how his children were related to him because none of them acted the way he did. Well, Sienna had her own childish moments but she was still young and her childish manner was different then her grandfather's. With a long sigh, the green stallion continued his long search for his wayward granddaughter.

Snorting, Vytali picked his way through the damp underbrush--he'd found a comfortable place to avoid most of the rainfall, so while he was not dry, he was far from being drenched (aside from the ends of his braids, which were soaked all the way through, after beind dragged through all the wet grass that covered the ground).
Shaking his head, the action sending his braid whipping to and fro, Vyt cocked his head to the side, having heard Verloren's cry. Bemused, he grinned, making his way towards the voice, wondering just who had been misplaced.

Green ears flicked to the side as the stallion halted his proceeding to find his granddaughter. Someone... or something was also in the area, and quite close too. The older stallion carefully turned his head to look behind him with his golden eyes. Whatever was out there was certainly close... closer then he originally thought. And it was definitely not Sienna. If anything, by the faint sound of their approaching footsteps, it was likely another stallion. His firm eyes watched to see whom would appear as the childish facade was exchanged for that of a former fighter. He really hated showing this half of his personality but ever since those days away from home, he was trained to be alert and wary of the unexpected. It was something that he could never get rid of.

Vytali slowed, when the other stallion came into view, although he didn't stop outright. The other's stance was a warning, in and of itself--and while he wasn't necessarily fearful, or one to back down, he wasn't the type to go looking for a fight, either.
When he was a few paces away from where Very stood, Vyt stopped, raising an eyebrow as he studied the older stallion, as if waiting to see what he'd do. Without being overtly aggressive, he held himself cautiously--if the other responded with violence, he didn't want to be slow to react to it.

Golden eyes set upon a unique stallion with wings of a... well, it certainly wasn't that of a kalona but the general design was similar to it... There was another species that had wings that matched the dark and sand colored stallion. Verloren pondered the thought for a while before coming to the conclusion that he wouldn't remember the name any time soon. The other stallion didn't look like he was going to cause any trouble though. With a sigh, the green stallion loosened up quite a bit and calmly walked in the other's direction, abet rather slowly because the other seemed to have noticed his defensive stance. "Ah..." The stallion started but wasn't too sure what to say.
"Hello!" Verloren called out rather cheerfully, his former warrior like manner 90% gone.

Tension easing, Vyt grinned, his usual devil-may-care expression coming to the fore. If he was surprised at how quickly the other's demeanor had changed, he didn't show it. Inclining his head, Vyt shook his forelock out of his face.
The other's cheery greeting made it hard to respond in any other way, and so Vyt conceded the loss, giving a typical greeting, as opposed to an off-hand remark (as he usually would have done).
"Hello." Flicking his tail, he moved forward as well, halting a few paces away from the other. Still grinning, he offered a small explanation. "I happened to be in the area, and hearing your...self-directed question, curiosity got the better of me." He still had no idea just who the 'she' the other had been referring to was, but at least it would appear that he wasn't about to get into a fight for wanting to know.

"Eh?" A slightly surprised look crossed over the older stallion's face... even though it really shouldn't have been a surprise. Verloren blinked his eyes a few times and sheepishly hung his head for moment. "Ahahaha... how embarrassing..." If he could hear the faint footsteps of another then by all means, who wouldn't be able to hear his random bawling of distress that just echoed out into the open? The green stallion took his time to raise his head again. Some former warrior he was... but he preferred to forget about all that. "W-well you see..." He was still rather embarrassed by his earlier manner. "I'm looking for my granddaughter. You wouldn't have happened to see a young mare colored like a raccoon walk on by would you? Ah!"
How rude of him. He was so focused on his granddaughter that he forgot formalities. "I'm Verloren by the way. Sorry for all the trouble."

Vyt chuckled, shaking his head, unable to help himself. It was mind-boggling, how the other had gone so quickly from threatening, to awkward embarrassment.
"Vytali." He said, returning the other's introduction with one of his own.
"And no, you're the first I've come across today..." Debating for a moment as to whether he should offer to help the other find his wayward grandchild, Vytali sighed. Imagining it to be some young foal, wandering on her own, he really couldn't -not- offer now, could he?
"I can help you search, if you'd like?"

A long sigh escaped the stallion again as his shoulders dropped slightly from disappointment. "Geez. That girl is too much trouble," he replied a bit tired. "Maybe I'm getting old..." Such a silly concept to be thinking at such a time. With a small humph, Verloren regained his posture and gave the other a kind smile. "Well Vytali, its nice too meet you. And... if you really don't mind following this old stallion around I'd be more then glad for the help."

Vytali blinked, wondering if he was expected to offer comfort. He hoped not--it wasn't something he was used to doing...his forte was in putting others off-balance, not offering solace!
"Surely she can't have gone too far?" He tried, mentally grimacing at himself. Surely, it was some of Nyan's sensitivity that had rubbed off, that he'd even tried to that extent.
"And of course not...two pairs of eyes are better than one, after all." It wasn't as though he'd had anything in particular in mind when he'd taken off this morning, anyway.

A chuckled of sorts escaped the stallion's mouth at Vytali's statement. "Well, that's where you're only slightly mistaken. My granddaughter is actually very capable of placing herself far, far away from anyone she chooses. In this case she's placed herself far away from her family due to a little quarrel she had with her mother's wolf familiar. I'm probably one of the few soquili who can actually track her, not that's saying much..." The green stallion lightly shrugged his shoulders. He was doing that a lot lately. "My daughter Amara wasn't as bad as her... Ah. But lets not go too in-depth on all my silly family situations."
Teeth sank into the rich green colored grass that now blanketed the earth in its welcoming spring shade of color. Sienna was grateful for some peace and quiet for a change. Too many characters were following her around and it had bothered her for a long time. Flicking her short tail from side to side the young mare basked in the brief moment of wonderful sun.
