"And this Arata Katsuo just helped you?" The skeptical tone of her mother grilling her, and with two parents' glaring daggers at her. Oh that session of parent-child conference didn't go as well as she hoped. Even though she had explained Katsuo was just a friend that happened to be there when she had sprained her ankle, she had to sit through her mother's talk about her needing to be more careful, because she was engaged.
And it had ended up perfectly with her father saying that the guards would not stop follow her.
Still, she had managed to come out all alone to the park, or so it seemed. Even though the guards were still following her, she had commanded them to hide their presence.
It was hard for them to hide themselves when she was limping along the pathway however, seeing that her ankle was still hurt from the incident. So, Minori Sagawa finally decided that it was time to sit down. Dressed in a simple tank top and shorts, she glanced around at the others enjoying their time in the park, and then settled back in her seat sighing. Finally, some time alone, and away from her parents. Placing her sketchbook on her lap, she flipped through her designs idly.

Takumi was currently sitting with Amadeus on his lap. It would've been fine, if only the darn cat would stop jabbing him in the stomach. "Ena, can you please take your cat back?" he asked tiredly from his seat at the bench.
"You promised you'd take me to the park!" Ena called from the swings. "And I can't possibly hold Amadeus like this. " She giggled as she continued to swing. Her brother was such a silly person.
With a sigh of defeat, Takumi gathered the Russian Blue into his arms and stood. "Yes, well. I'm allowed to walk around, right?" He was already moving down the path, desperate to get the feeling back into his legs.
"Ok, fine." His sister huffed. "But you better take good care of Amadeus!" she added, watching her brother's retreating form for a moment before turning her attention back to swinging. I'll follow them later, she thought to herself.

Minori had set her pencil on paper and was sketching away idly. No, that doesn't look right... She frowned, and picked up an eraser to rub the design off and sighed. She had been in a slump lately, which her mother had lectured her about.
Sighing, she glanced up from the sketchbook. Perhaps there was some inspiration around here... "Takumi-san?" Surpise whirled in her eyes, and she remained seated, tilting her head at the cat in his arms. Awww, it was so cute! "I didn't know you had a cat."

Takumi shifted the cat in his arms as he continued to walk along the pathway. "Stop squirming..." he mumbled, glancing down to give Amadeus a look. The cat blinked up at him reproachfully, and he opened his mouth to retort just as another voice cut through the air.
Raising his head in suprise, Takumi blinked before noticing Minori sitting right in front of him. "...O-oh! Hello, Minori-chan. I didn't realize you were here, " he said apologetically before taking another quick look at Amadeus. "He's Ena's. And can't seems to stay still..." He prodded the cat lightly as it started clawing at his shirt.
"So, um... what are you doing here today?"

She smiled gently up at him. Was this lucky, to be seen with another boy who was not Kiyoshi-san? She could practically imagine a call being made to her parents about this; her father waving his arms in exasperation and her mother giving her a death glare. No matter, she could explain this. Besides, he was in her class after all.
Minori closed her sketchbook and got up, wincing slightly. Her ankle still hurt a bit but it wasn't as bad as before. Not serious enough to send her into a fit of trembles and babbling nonsense. Like she did in front of Katsuo. "Your sister?" She peered around. No sign of the little girl...
"Maybe it's because you're prodding him like that." She reached a hand forward to stroke the cat's fur gently. "I'm...out for a walk. My muse has been dead recently." She glanced back up at him then quirked an eyebrow. "What did you do with your hair?"

"Yes. Ena's on the swings right now and made me look after her cat." he replied, pointing behind him while securely holding Amadeus with his other hand. He couldn't help noticing Minori's wince, and naturally looked down to notice her ankle. "What happened to you? Did you hurt yourself?" he asked with concern.
Amadeus purred as he was petted, turning his head to watch her with vivid green eyes. He was normally shy around strangers, but decided that this girl was different and lowered his head to rub it against her hand. Takumi rolled his eyes. "He's always moving around when I hold him. But I guess he's taken a liking to you."
He subconsciously raised his free hand to touch his hair at Minori's words. "Another one of Ena's ideas," he mumbled, a little embarrassed. His little sister had dragged him out one day to get a haircut, much to his dismay. Dyed hair was still a new concept to him, and he was still a little unsure of what his classmates would think about it.

"Aww, that cute little girl?" Her face lit up as her eyes followed his finger to stare at the swings. Now was another time she wished she had a sibling. At least one. "I..." Minori managed a smile and a shrug. She wasn't very good at hiding injuries, especially when she didn't suffer many. "Sprained it a little."
She sighed, then put another bright smile on and resumed stroking the cat. "Perhaps it's because I have a cat?"
The girl grinned, and gave a small laugh. "It looks fine. Now you and Satu-san are in the same boat, eh?" Both boys were forced by girls to streak their hair. Their second year at school would be interesting.

"She's only cute sometimes," Takumi said with a laugh. His sister was a right terror at times, but he did love her. "I see... Well maybe you should sit down to take some pressure off your ankle. " He motioned to the bench before moving to take a seat himself.
"A cat, eh?" He'd heard from somewhere that Minori had a cat, but couldn't quite place it. The boy mentally shrugged and patted Amadeus on the head. "Maybe they should meet one day."
So Satu was forced to get a hair makeover as well? He'd have to talk to his schoolmate about it. "T-thanks, Minori-chan." He gave her a smile. "And I see your hair's longer. I think it looks good on you."

Well it was true, siblings did constantly get onto each other nerves, but Minori envied the bond siblings had. And well, a younger sister would be simply wonderful to have.
Bobbing her head in agreement, the girl sat down beside her classmate. "A kitten really. She's such a spoilt brat." Neverthless, she was fond of Rose.
Longer? Minori quirked an eyebrow in surprise, a small blush lighting up her cheeks at the same time. "Actually I cut it. Maybe it's because I don't tie it up now that it looks longer?"

Takumi laughed at her comment. It was hard not to spoil pets, as he himself was guilty of spoiling the family dog.
"R-really?" The boy's face reddened slightly. "Ah... I suppose. Sorry about that." He scratched his head lightly and inspected Minori's hair. "It's still nice, though," he added quickly.
"What's nice?" came a cheerful voice as a little girl bounced up to the bench. She wordlessly held out her arms and Takumi quickly handed Amadeus over with a look of relief.
"E-er... nothing important," he said, lowering his eyes and brushing cat fur off his shirt. "Weren't you just on the swings?"
"I swung reeeeally high and my sandal fell off," Ena replied, hugging her cat and wiggling her left foot to indicate which sandal. "So I got off to put it back on and decided to follow you." She turned her big blue eyes to Minori and blinked at her. "Ooo... who's this, Nii-san?" she asked with a giggle.

Minori watched him, amused at his expression. He still looked rather cute even though he was embarrassed...damn. Brushing away those thoughts, she smiled back, aware of her own face growing red as well. "Thank you."
Brown eyes snapped to the little "intruder". Wasn't this Takumi's little sister? She gave the Ena a pretty, cheerful smile. "You're Ena, aren't you? I'm Minori. Takumi's friend and classmate."

He flashed her a grin before turning back to his sister. "Yes, we're in the same class," he repeated. "And good friends." He moved over a bit until there was enough room between him and Minori for one more person. "If you're going to take a break from playing, why don't you sit down?"
Ena tilted her head at the seated girl before smiling back and nodding. "Yup! How'd you know? Does Nii-san talk about me a lot?" She gave her brother a questioning look before plopping down on the bench, swinging her legs idly and all the while petting the cat in her arms.
Takumi huffed, opening his mouth to say something but thinking better of it and decided not to. Ena made it sound like he had nothing to talk about but her. As if living with her antics isn't enough! he though half-jokingly, leaning back in his seat.

"Well, he mentioned you." Her eyes sparkled with amusement and she raised an eyebrow at Takumi, holding back a laugh. "He's lucky though, to have such a cute little sister."
Being the only child in the family meant she was usually alone, and away from annoying siblings, but it also meant she didn't have anyone close to her to play with. The servants were usually busy and well, she didn't want to disturb them. Playing with a younger child was an excuse for being childish herself.

Ena grinned widely and giggled at Minori's words. "Thank you, Minori-san!" She turned to prod her brother in the stomach. " See, I'm cute. Say it, say it!" The little girl laughed as she continued to poke her brother.
Takumi waved her hand away and scooted further towards the edge of the bench. "Stop that," he grumbled as his sister persisted. "Aaaargh... okay, okay. You're... cute," he muttered finally, and Ena sat back with a triumphant smile. Even Amadeus seemed amused. Sometimes.
"Soooo... what are you doing in the park?" she asked curiously, looking up at Minori. Parks were for playing in! But of course, older people seemed to like to just sit there.

The older girl laughed as well, petting Ena's head, resisting the urge to hug her. She really was a sweet little girl, but being an older brother might be annoying; it was the same being an older sister to a younger brother. The way Theo and Samantha got into fights sometimes were enough proof to her.
"Well, I'm out for some fresh air. And sketching a bit." An idea struck her. Perhaps she could design children's clothing?
