So I volunteered to be the guitar player for my school's student led worship services next semester. And since I'm not that GREAT of a guitarist I'm starting practicing now. And I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for what songs would be cool to learn to sing for worship.

mm... check out e-chords.com, and you can find a ton of cool songs you know or bands you know. it's really helpful.

If you're having trouble with full six string chords, you can always get the four string chords and just strum those strings - I did that sometimes until I got better at the full chords!

Try to stick to songs that still have meaning, with recogniseable but simple chord progressions...im a guitarist with my youth group n thats what they started me on

Oh oh oh! What about "Our God is an Awesome God" I'm not sure who it's by, 'cause there are so many different versions! But it's a great song and I can't imagine it being very hard!

awesome God is by Rich Mullins, who, sadly, has gone home to be with the Lord---but left us some great worship music. I play the flute so i don't know how relevent this will be but I saw that others had already mentioned that hillsong had some easily read to play music. good luck! and, its always a good idea to practice early mrgreen

I've been working on a bunch of Hillsong United songs and a couple Chris Tomlin ones.
And it's been go well, woo hoo!! I think this will work, yay biggrin
