Introduction
"Its your future, use your imagination to think it up."
This is a space fantasy RP. Its basically a mixture of science-fiction and magic fantasy. If you have a hard time thinking about what I mean by that, then think about the Star Ocean series of games.
Your story takes place in the future, where the Earth is run by a single government, where Mars has settlers, the moon has a large base, and where the Maldava Space Station is the premier vacation hot spot for Earth folk.
This is an open ended RP. Yes, you may traverse planet Mars. You may become a space pirate. Perhaps you would prefer to be a bounty hunter? Maybe you would rather be a high ranking politician on Earth who decides what the military does or doesn't do. However, you absolutely hate politics or even sci-fi? Then no problem, you may RP as a being on a distant planet called Centuria where two kingdoms fight it out on The Circle of Twilight.
I intend this RP to start off small, but as we get more RPers, we will expand our realm. Not me, but us together. Do you have an idea for a planet? Do you have an idea for a race? Do you just have an idea for a pretty cool person, place, or thing? Tell us*!
*Us meaning: all the RPers.

wahmbulance NO GODMODING! The battle system is not perfect, so don't abuse it.
wahmbulance No puppeting unless if you and the other agree to it in the OOC
wahmbulance Be literate. Write like you would for English class- but even better.

Terran Confederacy
"Lets take manifest destiny to the stars..."
Its the year 2399 AD, and the world has nearly perfected warp travel, has merchant ships traveling between worlds transporting resources, and have bases set up on the Moon, Mars, and they now wished to go beyond our solar system.
Coincidentally, in December, days before the year turned anew, first contact was made as a ship, The Conquistador, sent by Earth (The Terran Confederacy) finally reached an Earth-like Planet known as Gliese 436 c. To commemorate this discovery, it was renamed to "Centuria" as it was found at the turn of the century.
However, upon reaching geostationary orbit around Centuria, all contact with The Conquistador was abruptly lost.
The assumption made by Earth was that this was possibly either the work of a civilization on Centuria, some other phenomena, or perhaps the notorious interstellar pirates that largely dwell in space.
Earth thus set out two ships from their Space Military Program: Golem II, and Golem IV to Centuria and set bounties upon the pirates who often hijack government and merchant ships to expand their own fleets.
The Conquistador
"So were stuck on an alien planet. Now what?"
Not known to Earth, upon reaching Centuria, the atmospheric analysis yielded the wanted results. The planet Centuria, although it had a little more gravity than planet earth, was habitable enough for human beings.
Due to an unknown reason, The Conquistador crash landed on the sunlit side of tidally locked Centuria. Thankfully, the crew landed safely within the same area via escape pods.
They landed in ruins of what seemed to be the leftover of an age old civilization...
Signals for help were sent out to Terran Spaceships in hopes that someone would intercept the message and save them. However, until then they would have to wait and survive on the planet and hope they do not run into a native civilization that may be hostile. Piracy
"Who the hell is going to enforce laws in space?"
Pirates are a broad group of folks. While some of them may be allied with each other, they also boast a lot of resentment towards one another. Each crew has its own unique characteristic about it. While some may have left Earth due to their discontent with what they believe is a Technocratic Neo-fascist society, others left simply because they are criminals who would never make it until the next day without being jailed. Then there are the Bravians.
The largest allied group of pirates is the Bravians. The group, found and led by an egocentric eccentric billionaire named Arthur Bravia, is an attempt to conquer the universe independent of Earth's imperialism just for the hell of it.
Upon learning about the Earth sending out two Golem Class spaceships, the pirates got working. Nothing is better than assuming control of a government's military grade ship and then using it for yourself.Corporate Ships
"Centurian products will be part of our new line of exotic brands."
Corporate ships traverse deep space to find planets, planetoids, and other space objects that they can mine for ores and precious metals to process in order to create space stations, deep space pit stops, and spaceships. Upon hearing about Centuria, many corporations thought that it would greatly cut down costs to open up slave labour shops there in case they have a civilization that is ripe for exploitation.
However, pirates are always an issue so corporate ships, as with any other ships, are equipped with weapons systems and employ security guards as well. While they add defensive capabilities to protect themselves from pirates, it also adds extra value on the ships. In other words, those silly pirates will want to hijack those ships because they have big guns on them that may be useful later on.

Human Beings: The Terran Confederacy
The Terran Confederacy consists of planets and objects in our solar system (you know, our solar system in real life), space stations and pit stops, Moonbase, and Mars.
There are four Headquarters for the Terran Confederacy which are located in New York City in the USA, Kyoto in Japan, Mumbai in India, and Paris in France.
Albeit the democratically elected representatives, some people would argue that the Terran Confederacy is a fascist technocracy. While the Earth may have become a single state, elites began espousing the idea that humanity's destiny is to conquer the stars and beyond. Critics call it galactocolonialism. However, it turns out that a vast majority of the political elites believe that the destiny of mankind is to conquer the universe.
This leaves a bad taste in some mouths.
Political System: Representative Democracy, Multiple Party Parliamentary System, Proportional Representation, Technocracy.
Prevailing Ideology: Centrism.
Economic System: Mixed Market.
Raison D'etre: "We exist to take over the universe"
Human Beings: The Bravian Empire
The Bravian Empire is led by Arthur Bravia, as noted before who was an eccentric billionaire. While he posits as a major thorn on the side of the Terran Confederacy, they share a love and hate relationship.
Arthur Bravia holds 52% of the shares in the Bravia Group of Industries, which is a company which holds a patent on warp technology. Evidently, if the Earth's Government gets in his way, he may simply make the decision to increase the prices on those goods, which are very important to the military. If the government decides to steal his patent, he would simply call on his underlings.
On the flip-side, he openly runs a piracy empire for a living which is hellbent on having fun screwing around for shits and giggles. He claims to be taking over the universe independent of Earth, but in the end, all it seems is that his flunkies are stealing ships.
Some would argue that he is doing this to make a point that space is not to be governed. Others just think he's just an a*****e.

Do not worry about the map below.
Its only there to tell you where which planet is. Not at the moment but for later on. For example, if an RPer comes up with an idea for a location and if they say that its located around the star Sirius* in Canis Major, you would know where that imaginary planet is in the sky if you were to go stargazing one day for imaginary planets. xD *Didja know? Sirius, Bellatrix, Draco, and perhaps other first names of Harry Potter characters were named after stars.
