After debating on where to have the date, Lorelei finally settled on a little restaurant called "Luigi's Bistro". It was in a small shopping center with a few boutiques, but mostly antique stores and used bookstores. Lorelei liked it here, and she had a feeling that Flitch would enjoy the smell of old books from nearby.
She looked nervously at her phone, and hoped that he got the directions all right.

Who! Thankfully he wasn't late. Or too late, at least.
Flitch had jogged most of the way over today, breathless from the exertion. But what else could he do? When he'd let slip that he was going out on a date to Anvion, the woman had set upon him like a vicious thing, preening and cleaning him as best she could for his date, all the while asking probing questions in the typical manner of suspicious mothers. He thought he'd never get out on time!
Of course he HADN'T, but at least he got here on time. That was what counted!
Pausing a moment to catch his breath, Flitch finally approached his first-ever date, waving to get her attention. "Hey Lore. Sorry if I'm a bit late."
