Walking by Flute's side Mushu lowered his head, she somehow convinced him to go exploring with her even though he was dead set aganst it. But for some reason he couldn't deny his friend, she has stuck near him for about everything. She didn't even over react when she found out he was gay, like a few others her knew. He eventually lifted his head and stared at her with a depressed look on his face. "Where exactly are we going?"
Flute turned to him and smiled, as she was still holding her head up high. "We are exploring, there is no certain place to go." She said excitedly as she had someone to share her adventure with. "Though if you'd like to rest we can stop for a bit near that lake." She said as she pointed right towards it.

Houndour lapped up the cool liquid in a pleasant attempt to quench his thirst. The day was warmer then usually around this area and his black fur made it impossible to stay active for too long. Yin's mission for him was taking longer then he thought and was causing him to be further from the pack's land then he was comfortable. His bobbed tail began to wag side to side as he continued to drink up the cold water, it's chill flowing through his heated body was rather soothing and made him rest a lot sooner while in the heat.

Flute who was walking a bit ahead of Mushu she made her way to the water first, laping up a bit of water as soon as she got there. She hadn't even noticed the other ulaya close by who was aldo there drinking. She just lifted her head back up, and turned towards Mushu. "Hurry up slow poke!" She shouted to him.
Mushu was annoyed with her, she knew he couldn't run that fast. But that never stopped her from running ahead. "I'm coming!" He yelled back, slowly making his way there. He soon made his way there, panting heavily we got himself to the water. And quickly started lapping up as much water as he could. But something had caught his eye, he quickly turned his head to spot this new male ulaya. " Who's there?" He asked, hoping that the new ulaya wouldn't attack.

Houndour quickly looked up, his tongue lapping the remaining water from his lips. Putting his ears back with the abrupt interruption he realized it was another male Ulaya and a female seemingly with him. Relaxing a little more his ears resumed their normal position and he raised his back up into a sit. "I'm sorry, I was just getting a drink. It seems like you're just as thirsty as I was." He had no intentions to continue on his journey again for a while so in spite of his new company he began grooming his paw that had lifted itself up off the ground. The sun was still warm and beating down on him, it was always the worst in the noon time and made him quite lethargic.

Mushu eased up a bit towards the other ulaya, and gave a small smile. "Yeah, she has me running around exploring with her." He said as he glanced over at Flute. "Oh, by the way my name is Mushu." He said, and went back to drinking a bit more water.
Flute curiously went over towards Mushu to see who, or what he was talking to. "Mushu, who where you talking t" Before she could finish her sentence she noticed the other male ulaya. "Why, hello there!" She said with excitement as there was finally another ulaya to possibly talk into joining them.

Nodding in agreement to the other male's words, Houndour thought to himself about another familiar female that did the same sort of things to him from the pack. He always found her to be somewhat annoying but tolerated her acts for Yin would be fearsome if he did against his word. Putting his paw back down on the ground he looked at Flute as she poked her head around a bush and then replied back to Mushu. "I'm Houndour, from the Mwezi pack." It was a habit for him to mention the pack's name since he was almost second in rank and other packs surrounded the areas.

They both tilited their head when they heard him talk about the pack they where in.
"Mwezi pack" He questioned before Flute got the chance. "I've never heard of any packs before." He quickly started thinking about what this so called pack was like.
With Mushu saying things before she got the chance she had stayed quiet untill he shut up. " What are packs like? Are they any fun, or is it alot of work?" She questioned him.

Ah, pack talk. He had almost always been in his pack so it was a normal way of life for him but he rarely encountered Ulayas that had never even thought of being in one. Tilting his head upwards as he thought to himself he decided to keep it simple and not scare them away, for Yin's pack did that a lot. "Packs are where 5 or more Ulayas get together and form a group. We all look out for each other and do our part to keep the land protected and under the god's reign." He shifted himself some and rested his body back down on the ground below. "It's pretty hard work but it's worth it, nobody does more work then the other though. Well, nobody but me." He trailed off some, he didn't think Yin would approve of his chatter about his missions but he figured what the god didn't know wouldn't hurt him.

Mushu was intriged by what Houndour was telling him, not knowing why he also felt a bit atracted. Even though he did like other males, he never did instantly felt attracted to them.
Flute thought that it was cool, though she did enjoy the free life of doing what she pleased. "Why stick to one part of land if there is so much to explore? I mean there is so much unknown about this land, so we must explore it and find what's new. And why stand all the hard wrk, why not goof off and have some fun for once?"

Houndour was oblivious to Mushu's reaction to him for he was into the conversation about the pack. Yin had it programed into his mind to either recruit new members or scare them away, but Houndour knew that he didn't want either for these two. They would never be able to stand being in a cold dark place like the Mewzi territory for too long and he didn't really want to scare them off for some reason. "Well, the pack is really like my family, I don't know much of anything else but to help it and be with it. I guess if my history there wasn't so strong then I might have more of an urge to leave but the god is-" He cut himself off before he mentioned of Yin's knack for beating them when they don't do what he wants. Houndour had gotten used to this and felt it was needed for most of the members but other Ulayas in the world didn't understand the order Yin had to maintain.

Mushu did say anything, he just stared at Houndour for a bit.
Houndour got Flute thinknig when he mentioned family. " We have no family, we only have our selfs and sometimes eachother to look our for. To care for us, but it's normal for us now. It's like our way of life, and it works!" She said with a smile.

Houndour nodded with a smile on his face, one of the first ones to form in a long time. He seemed to be enjoying himself which was something he didn't always do. "A pack is just like that only with more Ulayas to look our for you." He found himself actually ignoring the heat beating down on him, as if it weren't really a bothersome at all. Houndour was relaxed and began to forget about what he was really out of Yin's area for in the first place XD

She twitched her ear a bit, and not sure how to respond. " I don't think packs would be the thing for me. And I don't see Mushu as family, he's more like a reliable friend to me. " She said looking at him. "Can't even make a family with him as he's gay." She said quietly, then slid away to avoid any drama Mushu might cause between them.

Houndour's ear twitched with the soft words that Flute had mentioned but he didn't move or change his attention. He wasn't quite sure if he had heard what he thought and didn't want to over react to something that probably wasn't for real. "Yeah well I don't know if I could ever have a real family of my own." He didn't know what else to say to that but he really didn't think this and figured it would be something to mention at the time, for some reason.

Mushu was in shock with was Flute had told Houndour, and she barely even knew him. He franticly looked from Houndour to Flute even though she was walking away. "The hell was that for?" He questioned him self out loud, ignoring Houndour for a second.
