Fea sat and watched an odd looking Northern wolf drinking from the river.

Triginta Tres pauses and looks up at the Southern alpha female and snarls before going back to drinking.

Fea laid her ears back.
Trig finished up and stood to leave.
~~~~~

The pup slunk through the soft clay of the riverbank, his eyes scanning the horizon ahead. Always searching, always waiting, always hoping to find the one to sink his teeth into. His nose told him there were others ahead. Others... Malestrom hadn't met another wolf before. It could prove interesting...

Fea kept an eye on the younger female making sure the heathen creature didn't come near her.

Triginta Tres moved away from the river a bit and trotted off towards a tree.

Hirsh sat and chewed on something he killed a while ago, pulling the fur away and spitting it out as he watched the other wolves.
~~~~~

Triginta Tres flops down in the snow under the tree and lays her head down. Her body looking like a limp dead animal with blankly staring eye. She then yawned and curled her feet close to her body.

Fea sloshes in the water pondering catching a fish while wondering where her mate ran off to.

Mal stopped, his tail high behind him as his nose lifted. He smelled a kill not far off from his position. Going against his stomache, he trotted forward.

Grr... A growl escaped him as he spotted a female downstream.

Eyes narrowed, he stood his ground.

Fea turned her head at the sound of the growl and eyed the pup. She gave him a rather flat look. "Watch you manners pup."

"Yeah. She'll eat you up." Hirsh said, snickering, watching from somewhere nearby as he ate at his prey carefully.
~~~~~

Fea gave Hirsh a look. "I don't eat my own kind thank you very much..."
~~~~~

Hirsh laughed, smirking. "It was a joke, a figure of speech. Lighten up a little." he said, and yawned.
~~~~~

"Sorry, I'm just a little irritated about something is all," she looked away and was watching the river.
~~~~~

"What might that be?" he asked, inwardly amused. She was probably lonely, he guessed. It seemed that after the war everyone was scattered, and alone.

Fea eyed Hirsh. "My mate seems to be a bit scarce lately...I don't know where he went...."
~~~~~

Malestrom turned to scan over the male. A rumble came from within as the smell of the prey and sight of the meal hit him.

Shaking his head to rid the wave of hunger, he turned back to the orange female, still wary. "Manners are for those with time to use them." He stooped a bit to get a drink, still watching the others out of the corner of his eye. The two seemed friendly, but he didn't plan on sticking around long enough to meet their cold side.

Hirsh looked surprised, and almost laughed. "Wow, you found a mate? That was quick...weren't you, uh...mateless, the last time we talked?" he asked, his tail brushing the ground behind him.

The pup's words made him turn to look, and he chuckled darkly. "There's always time for manners, kid." he said, standing up slowly and leaving the half-eaten hare laying at his own feet.

Fea then ignored the pup seeing he was not very interesting and gazed over at Hirsh. "No, I wasn't." She gave him a slight smirk.

Hirsh pawed at the bloody mess he had make, and licked at his own muzzle, making sure there was no blood left. "Oh. Well, good luck with all that, anyway." he said, contemplating leaving, but not really wanting to leave his kill where the pup could get at it, even though Hirsh was fairly full.

Fea watched him with a slight sneer. Oh the issues with leaving a kill. It was why she never killed more than she could eat. And usually only went for the big stuff to feed her pack with.

Triginta Tres suddenly stirred and was up on her feet at the river bank again. She was watching them, Hirsh more so.

Malestrom chuckled, echoing the male's words. "There's always time, hm?" He wrinkled his nose. "I'm sure that rabbit thought the same." The pup sat on his haunches, eyeing the kill with distaste.

An ear flicked at the approach of the second female. He turned and watched her, his fur standing on end.

Hirsh sighed a bit. Nothing should ever go to waste, and he had been quite hungry when he'd caught the fat thing. Hunting was always fair on the South side, but he never brought down anything big.

"We all need to eat. Would you like the rest of this? You look a little hungry." he said, watching the youngster before he caught sight of Triginta on the other side of the river, surprised and maybe a tad disturbed to see her appear in such a way.

Fea watched Hirsh and Malestrom for a moment before sensing eyes watching them. She turned to look and saw the black soulless gaze of the female wolf. Her hackles raised.

Triginta Tres continued to watch them. Her head moved oddly and very slowly as if trying to see them. The stain beneath her feet began to spread in the snow as she stood there.

Mal tilted his head, contemplating the kill as he stared at the female across the bank. "No, that's alright... " He'd have to hunt at some point. It would only make him rely on the male if he took food from him now. "But thanks for the offer."

He stood quickly as the stain spread beneath her. "What's she doing? His whisper shook and came out as a hiss as his fur fluffed out.

Hirsh was still very leery of the female, and he forgot all about the rabbit for the moment. "Hold still. Maybe she won't be able to see us." he whispered back, holding stock still as he watched Triginta move her head, hoping the others would hold still so he could conduct the little experiment.

"I don't know what it is, but she's different. Dangerous, maybe..." he said, glancing over at the pup, and then over at Fea, without moving his head.

Fea wasn't moving either. She would have glances at the others with just her eyes, but for once she was too afraid to look away from the female wolf across the river.

Triginta Tres' nose flared as she took in any and all smells. Her head slowly came to a halt as her lip curled into a silent snarl. Her nose continued to smell the air as she held very still. Then suddenly she took a step forward towards the river's edge.

Hirsh did not want to fear the other adolescent. Half of him wanted to think that it was just a show, that it was merely her appearance that was scary. He couldn't figure out how so much blood seeped from her, but what harm could a bit of blood do? He thought back with a bit of distaste about how she had rubbed some of it onto him.

As he watched her move, he let his fears slip away. There was no way she would try to cross the river. Even he had trouble swimming through the swift currents that lay under the surface in the deep middle. Besides, she would never toy with a large, healthy Southern alpha on her own...would she?

Fea watched Triginta Tres and then decided to risk it a bit and turned her head slowly to look at Hirsh. "Have you seen that wolf before? Because I honestly have to say, that is the creepiest thing I've seen...."

Triginta Tres stayed near the river bank. She hated going into water. She didn't understand it but she avoided water unless she needed a drink.

Hirsh huffed, and turned his head as well, trying to let some of the tension dissipate. "Yes, I have. I know it's disturbing but I think she's fairly harmless. If she were close enough to scent it would be worse. Blood seems to seep from her limbs, you see, and I have no idea how. She didn't seem so bad though...she's not as insane as she looks, but not overly friendly either." he said, chuckling a bit as he watched Triginta stop. "Yeah...I doubt she'll come over here. I think she's Northern, anyway. If she has a drop of common sense, she wouldn't bother you."

Malestrom didn't move. He wasn't sure if he could if he wanted to.

"All poison is harmless if not played with." He said this aloud more for himself than the others, ruffling his fur to try and soothe his nerves. With the statement said, he inched closer to the adults.

Fea still looked unnerved. "How can such a creature exist? And....can see even see at all? Or is she like Noire? Blind."

Triginta Tres suddenly snarled and spat when Malestrom moved. Her hackles on end and her ears pinned back.

Hirsh raised a brow. So it was true...the female's sight was based to some extent on movement. She hadn't reacted so much when they had all been still. "Very true, kid." he said, acknowledging Maelstrom.

At Fea's questions, he almost shook his head. "I haven't a clue. She can see, but I don't know how...apparently it's based on movement. Look at how she tenses up when the kid moves." he observed. He knew she couldn't possibly hear them, since the sound of the river was probably enough to drown out their voices.

Fea turned to look at Triginta Tres. She got a strange look on her face. "No....I don't think that's it..." Fea decided to test it more and got up and walked away from the two.

Triginta Tres took no notice of the colorful alpha female. Her gaze stayed on the pup. Her teeth where bared.
