...a good website where one can search by area (county or zip code) to find motherhood/parenting groups that meet up occassionally? I don't have any friends with children and I've found that to be somewhat of a problem.

I can't help for websites, not sure if you've found anything seeing as it's taken months for someone to reply. But a good suggestion would be asking your health visitor or at your local doctors surgery. No appointment needed, just ask at reception. Health clinics should be able to give advice and leaflets as well, and even social services should be able to give some heads up as well.

Is all that we see or seem...I know the website whattoexpect.com by the author of What to expect when you're expecting kinda has something similar. It at least has groups gor different due dates, months when your children were born, TTC, and suhc. And then they'll list where the members are from. =/ I think there was another website as well but I kinda lost all my bookmarks recently so I couldn't tell you right now. i'll look some up though. ...but a dream within a dream?
