Riddick padded through the mucky wet grass, brown mud squishing between his toes with every step causing strange noises that entertained him to no end. Flicking an ear with the falling rain that danced upon the horizon, Riddick eyed a fast growing puddle and bounded over to it with an excited look on his face. Shaking off some of the wet from his fur he lowered himself to the ground a little but not enough to get his belly muddy and slide his tail side to side. The ever moving reflection of his own face looked back up at him as he turned his ears back and leaped into the air, landing directly in the center of the pool of water and causing waves of liquid to fly from it's original sheltered place. Laughing with excitement, for he still acted and felt like a cub, Riddick turned around and leaped out of the puddle, his paws dripping wet from the now brown colored water. Riddick shook his body once again and thousands of rain droplets sprayed from his body and caused his fur to take an abnormal position from where it always lay. He quite enjoyed playing in the rain and mud for his mother would never let him do so when he was still with her. Letting out another joyous laugh he turned around to enter the puddle once again.

Jia was sitting under a tree with her ears back against the wind and the rain very up happily. What the heck was going on with this silly weather right now. It was so nice the other day. She HATED the rain. Why, Oh WHY did it have to be raining so hard...She sighed to her self and looked up and opened her eyes to look around with a sigh. She grumbled and then looked down the hill from the tree and saw a male splashing about in the water puddles. She growled to her self a little as she shifted her feet closer to her self and looked around. What was so enjoyable about this weather. Water was terrible. "Silly males with their odd hobbies...What is so fun about jumping into a silly puddle..." She said to her self softly as she glared at the male again. Why...

Landing in the puddle for the fifth time Riddick decided to find something else that could entertain him while he played in the rainy field. Looking around he scanned his mind for something that looked fun and then his eyes landed on a hill, leading straight up to the tree Jia was currently placed under. A wide grin fell upon his face as imaged of him sliding down the mud as fast as he could go, brown all over his feet and body passed through his mind. Leaping up he made a dash for the hill, unaware of the other Ulaya seeking shelter under the tree's branches. Running up the hill prove a task on it's own as his feet slid from one way to another, rarely in the direction he had intended them to go. Huffing for a breath he was panting as he finally reached the top and placed his rump on the ground with a squish of some moss below him. Swallowing the rain that had fallen upon his tongue he looked up to find a place to rest before he made his sliding adventure when he suddenly realized he was in an other's company. The orange tiger female sitting under the thick branch of the dripping plant looked a little distressed and he tilted his head with curiosity as he looked at her. "Why do you look so down, may I ask?" He was always taught to be polite but once in a while his child's mind took over and he couldn't help himself but to ask this instead of introducing himself first.

Jia heard the male coming up the hill and sighed. She hoped that he wouldn't shake off and cover her in mud, then there would be a fight going on and he would be in serious trouble. She looked over at him and, now that he was closer she thought that he might be nice looking once all the mud was off him and he was dry. But she was in a bad mood so she scooted over, and thats about when he say her. She looked up at him with narrowed eyes of anger. "Its Raining." she said in a soft voice that said she wasn't happy, but was normally friendly. She looked away as a bigger gust of rain came towards her and she snuggled closer to the tree to get out of the rain best as she could. "How could you like this weather...its so horrible but you look like your enjoying your self or something." she said unhappily.

Riddick continued to look at her with a distraught face, he couldn't understand why someone wouldn't like weather like this. If him, being mostly cat of all creatures, enjoyed it then he figured everyone must. Shrugging a little bit to himself he pondered sliding down the hill again but argued with himself and decided to stay up on the hill with the female Ulaya. She seemed to need some company, if not for herself then to forget about the weather that was causing her so much grief.
Flicking the tip of his tail he walked over to her and sat down next to her, making sure she had all of the tree's shelter that she could keep. "Well I quite enjoy this weather, it makes me feel like a child again." He looked back over to her, water dropping from his chin and eyebrows. He gave a clumsy but amusing grin to her, letting her know it was okay to relax some in the rain. It's not like it was thundering out or anything, nothing he could think of that would be fearsome but just a river of water pouring from the sky above.

Jia sighed and looked away from him. "I had an uneventful childhood that i would not like to remember." She said as she glanced at him as he got closer. "Please don't get me much more wet. I don't get what freedoms it opens in you but i guess that is cause of my childhood." she said as she looked at him. "Whats your name? If your going to be here a while i might as well know that. My name is Jia." She said as she glanced at him. He looked like he would be fun when it wasn't raining cause now that Jia was older she liked to have fun, some times, but only when it was sunny and nice out. She couldn't get too carried away though, she could get kinda violent on accident some times if she didn't keep track of what she was doing. But she liked to run and play a little.

Riddick looked down as the rain dripped from his face, trying to comprehend what could be bad about a childhood that would turn one against having fun in the rain. He blinked a couple of times before looking back up and grinning a toothy smile as he exclaimed his name to her. "I'm Riddick, it's an unusual name but I'm proud of it. Yours is pretty though." He put his ears up as he sent her a sweet smile and then looked back down for the rain to continue dripping from his fur, mostly so It wasn't in his eyes. "You seem like a troubled Ulaya to me." He didn't normally blurt out what he instantly thought of but it was bothersome to him, more then usual. He didn't like the feeling of someone not enjoying themselves and at most times would make the effort to cheer them up. But this time it was just about impossible for him, there was no way for him to help her stay dry, especially with his sopping wet state, and he felt useless. His tail swayed side to side in the mud, causing streaks of fur lines forming in it. He had always enjoyed getting down and dirty, it was a past time event he always looked forward to. But then again he loved swimming just as much, how he floated above the ground as if he were flying through the world.

She looked at him as she shivered a little and then shook the water off her best she could. "Its only the stupid weather. Is that so hard to understand? Don't you get cranky when your in a situation you don't like? I hate being wet so i don't want to be here stuck under this stupid tree in the rain!" She said with a small growl as she hoped he wouldn't think she was this mean all the time. He seemed like a Ulaya that she would like to talk to and be around when she wasn't wet and miserable. She looked at him and noticed what a nice long tail he had and pretty eyes. She looked over him as he tilted his head to keep the water out of his eyes and wondered why he had been interested in coming to talk to her. She wanted to say more about how she wasn't normally like this but she sneezed and shivered more scooting closer to the tree wanting to just get out of the stupid rain.

Riddick continued to watch her with a crossed look on his face. It was rare that he found something he didn't like or enjoy, most things in the world were worth remembering in his mind. Shaking the water from his head he looked up at the sky as it poured down onto them. "I've never really been in a situation that I didn't like much, my life has been well so far. I just enjoy it all as much as I can I guess." She shrugged and looked back down at her. This was a simple way to think of life but he knew it was a good way to see things. Wrapping his tail around his body he decided that sitting in the mud wasn't as fun as flopping around in it and he stood up to squish his toes in the muck. He didn't wanna get her dirty or more wet then she already was so he kept the slop to himself.

Jia glanced at him. Well la-te-freaking-da for him. She hadn't had a great life so yay for him. She glanced at him and wondered why he was still there. Did he want something? Did he want to get to know her for some reason...? "Um, not that i'm complaining about having something o block the rain from one side, but why are you still sticking around? Do you want something or did you just want to keep me company while i was stuck here in this stupid rain?" She asked him as she shook off again. It was sooo cold! Was the sun ever going to come out again?
