Walking through the golden grass, Aminali wasn't sure what she wanted to do today. Lately, she had been meeting some strange animals but she was enjoying their company. That was even more strange... Before coming back, Aminali had spent so much time alone. Whatever had happened with her old pack was in the past and she tried to suppress those memories as much as possible. And so far, she had been successful with that.
The female continued to walk through the grass. She had already eaten earlier in the day and she felt content for now. Her body was growing tired but she didn't want to stop to sleep just yet.

 Sere was currently lazing, her head flung back over the rock and her paws half dangling in the air. Yawning lightly and showing her impressive - if she did say so herself - teeth she snapped her jaws shut with a chuckle. Having spent the majority of her life alone she'd gotten quite used to amusing herself. She was good at it generally, this evening however she could admit to being bored. Bored. She thought once more to herself with a grimace when a bright coloured flash caught her eye, "Helllo. What do we have here?" she says, with a raised eyebrow to herself. Slipping from the rock, she crouched low in the grasses and crept towards the... thing... she'd barely glimpsed, also living on her own had taught her to be wary of the things around her. Creeping ever closer she wiggles lightly before pouncing, and deflecting at the last minute, tumbling onto the otherside of the wild dog. Landing on her shoulders with her tail dangling by her nose she smiles at the dog. "Hello." she says, half righting herself, glaring at the savannah dust that covered her white and blue coat. "Clearly, you're not something to eat." she states, eyeballing the delicate dog up and down.

Aminali walked through the tall grasses and but then she heard something. She turned her head slightly and tried to see if there was anything lurking in the grasses beside her. These were dangerous times and there were dangerous animals. After living alone for so long, Aminali had learned that she needed to always be careful. Though, she tended to be a rather trusting animal and that would probably get her into deep trouble sooner or later.
The wild dog didn't stop walking and she tried to act as if she didn't hear a thing. But then the lioness emerged from the grass, Aminali jumped back and crouched down and almost began barring her teeth. Though she stopped herself as the lioness began to talk to her. Phew. She was really anti-confrontational and even though she could defend herself, Aminali really preferred not to get into any conflicts.
Raising a brow, Aminali just stared at the lioness as she relaxed her stance ever so slightly. "Uh, hello." She summed up the lioness in front of her. She looked... harmless enough. Oh how wrong Aminali's assumptions could be. "Clearly." She stated blatantly.

Sere's lips twitched along with her tail as she got slowly to her feet, being slightly larger than the wild dog she didn't want to startle her, while she enjoyed the silence and her own company she was bored.... and this seemed to be a ready made answer to her boredom.
"I'm Serekai'shwa. Everyone I know just calls me Sere though." she offers casually, sniffing lightly not wanting to mistake something that appeared harmless as something that could blossom into a threat. "Nice growl you've got on you. What's a thing like you doing wandering alone? Don't your kind usually run in packs?" she asks, circling carefully, though careful to present a non threatening appearance. She didn't want to startle away her main source of amusement and company before her boredom blues were cured.

Aminali sensed a little tension in the air and she didn't feel completely comfortable around this lioness. Being the smaller of the two, Aminali didn't like feeling like she was at a disadvantage. She was bored too but she didn't want to get eaten in the quest for amusement.
"Pleasure. I go by Aminali. Just Aminali and nothing else." The female nodded slightly and watched Sere carefully. She really didn't think this lioness would harm her but her thoughts usually were deceiving. She couldn't trust herself. Aminali winced slightly as she mentioned her kind and their pack nature. "Yes, but not all of us do. Circumstances change things." She shrugged nonchalantly knowing that she had those memories well suppressed. "Don't you have your own packs too? Wild dogs have wanderers too." Aminali didn't like how Sere singled out her kind but she wouldn't make a big deal out of it. That was unimportant as of now anyway.

"Prides actually. Although I've yet to find any real reason to be prideful about joining up and signing one's life away to a lost cause or two." she says, sitting on the ground, tilting her head to the side with a curious look, almost glad that Aminali hadn't pounced on her mistake of singling out the dog packs, which tended to make her ronin life rather difficult. Although she was also aware of the slight bitterness that tinged her voice, grimacing inwardly she frowns lightly before smoothing out her features into the mask of friendliness that this pup obviously needed.
Shrugging she replies back, her golden eyes gleaming, "Yes. Circumstances do change things. I'm not likely to hurt you, however I'd be willing to bet the family zebra if I had one that the things your running from would be very glad to hurt you and me included." patting down the grass around her she clambers to her feet, stretching lightly and looking back at the dog, "Aminali, I know a pretty decent watering hole where we can get a drink, have a bite to eat, and chat. Because I enjoy these plains too much to not inquire about what might follow you here kiddo."

Gazing at the lioness, Aminali listened to her talk. "Whoops. Pride, then." She couldn't quite understand Sere. She couldn't tell if the lioness wanted to manipulate her or genuinely trying to be friend. When she wasn't completely trusting, Aminali was too paranoid.
Huh? Was Sere implying something? "What?" The female tilted her head curiously wondering what Sere meant by that. "I'm not running from anything..." Or at least she was sure that she wasn't... "Um... Sure. A drink sounds nice." The heat was getting to her; she strongly disliked hot weather even though this region tended to be warm all year around. But she was still wondering why Sere would think that she was being followed. Was she acting differently? Oh, well yea she was acting differently but she didn't know that could be interpreted like that.

Sere looked at the dog with her lips twitching in slight amusement, maybe the nervous air around Aminali was just how she was usually. Shrugging she nods her head in towards the water, using her paw to point lightly.
"I agree with that. Never seems like there's enough water to go around out here on the plains. You enjoy traveling by yourself? I find the freedom a heady and appreciative thing. Hence why I'm not part of a pride." Sere explains with a smile and a twitch of her tail.

Aminali walked towards the water, her throat all of a sudden screaming for water. That was a bad thing about the plains. It was lacking water, an essential for life. She lowered her muzzle and lapped up water. After she finished, the wild dog turned her attention back to Sere. "I do enjoy traveling by myself but sometimes, company is just nice." Aminali nodded once again, "Yea, I like my independence and I don't like it when people hold me back."
