Rage smiled as she wandered about the forested area besides the shore. The underbrush was proving to be somewhat of a pain in certain areas, though weaving through with her limbs as quick and nimble as se could she soon came to the shoreline, a bright figure upon the sand, red and orange, fur above his brow and running down his back.
Philokiss, she remebered him.
Philokiss knew Nabu'na, and they had a bond, though it was obvious Philokiss was the elder of the two, sometimes she wondered if they were related. The female alpha knew this wolf was a shaman, powered by hte warmth and rays of the sun, though she was curious to know more, but found herself at a loss for words and stood where the light graced her fur slightly at the edge of the shoreline.
He smiled his fur warm from the sun' gentle caress and kisses, his adoration for the sun itself almost, almost was just that of his adoration for his childhood friend who he had not seen in quite some time. Oh how he missed her, wondered how she was going about life now. Now he ad a home to call his own as well as with Nabu'na and the others, here was safe, large, and well protected and oversaught.
Yes, strength was in this pack.
"Its alright," he spoke, lifting his eyes to gaze upon the sheer black wolfess not too far away, the sun touched her, and he felt a warmth there and he smiled, "Come further, no worries."
For a moment Rage was caught offguard by his words and shook her head, raised a brow, yes, it was alright, no need to fear for she was indeed the alpha of this territory. She was a mother, and a daughter, in several ways, though it was hard to explain sometimes, her mind wandered off for a moment, and wondered how Nix was fairing today.
Tredding softly upon the sand, her paws guided her to stand next to the shaman nad gaze out at the ocean, relish in the soft foamy sound of the waves lapping the shore, she smiled, ah yes, this was home.
"Lovely, isn't it? These lands are some of the most beautiful I have seen, truly," his voice spoke in a one of sincerity, Philokiss never liked straying away from the truth, for otherwise it cause uncertainty and displeasure for others. Curling his tail around himself a smile crossed his maw, and he saw the glint of the sun off from top of the crystal blue water.
"Though I must say, the smell of the water, different from what I am used to, though nonetheless, intriguing," flicking the tip of his tail he watched her, searched to make eye contact, and just smiled. "Have you come to just neatly gaze at the water for pleasure, or do you desire fish from the sea this morning alpha?"a technical term, though it meant friend.
Rage smiled nad shook her head, a light laugh escaping her lips, "Yes and no, I love coming to the shore, watching as the waves change and mold the shore under pressure and guidance, you can learn a lot from nature, though I suppose you know more then I about that sort of thing," her eyes fell on him, still amber, though flickered silver sometimes in the right light, oh how she had changed though the other halves, Ano and Ryu lurked and lived in this place.
Though this did not bother her much anymore, she had what she always desired, control.
"I actually came to ask you something Philokiss, if it is not too bold to ask you this fine morning."
"Oh no, no, tis fine I assure you!" he padded the sand with his paw beside him as if inviting her for a seat. He knew Rage, about her past through stories of others here, just as he knew Nix, the symbol was here, he saw it on several, Rage, her daughter Tearh, the material inners of Rage in the form of Ryu and Ano, and even upon the vagabond DragonsRage who sought shelter here.
Did she still remember?
"What is it you wish to inquire of?"
"I wish.." she began, stopped for a moment, gathered her thoughts and continued once more, "I wish to know of your dealings with the lost valley. Daemon, he told me that you were there when he was a pup, that you were one of the guardians along with others, you were there when Arguin had been gifted, though his gifts have since gone. You were not there when I and Nix were there but..."
She stopped again, it was hard for her, to think back to everything she had lost, what she had seen, what she knew, "I want to know what you know of the prophecies there..."
She wanted to know if they were true.
"Ah yes, I wondered when you might come to me to inquire of that." Indeed he had been there when Daemon and Arguin were just boys, when Daemon had not been gifted though his pelt bore markings and colors that were foreign to the natural pack of browns and grays, black and other bright colors of the world were foreign to the pelts, thus were deemed to be touched by graces, to be part of the prophecies and mystics of the pack legends.
"I was there with them, though after Daemon had left for his brother's antics, things began to fall apart, the pack dispersed, there is a greater story behind it, hough Arguin's involvement played a part, as well as the two-leggers."
"The two leggers I know intervened when I was just a pup, and I know the stories of Arguin's work, or at least, his last duty, or grace to the valley, to give it life again." her eyes fell onto the shaman, curious, and wondering if everything she had been told had any truth behind it at all.
"I know that his gifts were taken from him because of choices he had made, those choices I do not know, I vaguley remember the name Croanyl in them, he is alive...he came here, I thought Arguin and he were just myths, figments of tales, but they are alive and well, how is this?"
"You must understand, Arguin delved into the wrong side of graces, his prophecy then was damaged, his part torn and tattered, painted upon and soiled, for then it could not follow through thus he was striped of the gifts laid upon his pelt at birth, the same gifts that Daemon was to have, but did not retain."
Ah yes, the devil Croanyl, it was a wonder the malicious creature was still alive, probably lurking even now to destroy the symbol thats ealed his fate, "Croanyl was there with Daemon and Arguin as well, he gave me this," Philokiss said placing a paw to his chest where a cross shaped scar adorned his flesh, "I will never forget. Each fortelling and prophecy told and wished to want to become true was based off from the legend and truth of the symbol, that symbol," he said with a nod motioning to her cheek and shoulder.
Symbol? her symbol? Rage looked at her shoulder and tried to remember what she could. The symbol and appearance she retained was what caused her to be outcasted by others, even feared because of the darkness of her pelt, they said she was like a plague like Croanyl, though Nix stayed with her through it all. Even Nix was gifted with blue markings which proved they were meant to be sisters even if blood did not link them together.
Fate had linked them together.
"What does it mean, what was the prophecy Philokiss?"
Scratching his ear with his paw he closed one eye and tried to retrieve the many stories and ideals of the valley he had so long been away from, he himself searching for the symbol along with Nabu'na nad the others. "In the beginning, the founder, the finder of the valley had a vision, a vision of a symbol, that some say was red, others say were black, whatever the color, it was not a normal color of the pack, this symbol was on the vague figure of a wolf of the pack, how he knew they were with the pack, they were not aware."
He stopped, flicked an ear and continued, "They say the symbol reflects the basis of the valley, marks the beginning, the foundation, but guardians of the pack, those that were gifted, had visions with the same symbol, that marked endings, and destruction. With each new dawn and night of a generation, this vision was found in eyes, and on a cavern wall in a place not so many know of, a wall with paintings of the symbol exist, along with the wolf who was within each vision." he stpped, looked at her, and did not break eye contact, "That representation, is exactly of you.. made moons ago, even before you were born."
Thats why....thats why everyone looked at her that way, shunned her as they had, even her brother was apprehensive of her, one of the guardians must have known, seen the painting, and told the other members to be wary, old of the coloration and depiction. If there had been a new beginning in the pack...and she was born, they must have figured an end to it was coming.
But how could she have had ties to the two leggers! It wasn't her fault, it wasn't, but now...but now, a prophecy related to her, her blood, but...but..
"So what does it mean? Had my symbol been on another before me? Am I the only one? What does it mean?"
"No," he said with a nod, "No one else had ever been known to have the mark adorned upon themselves. Some wolves claimed that in their dreams the mark was upon their shoulder, but not one could describe it to a key, they could not say the shape, the design, they did not know what it meant to have it..." he took a breath, was unsure of if he should tell her or not. Though, she was alpha, she needed to know of what may come.
"It means that you are the prophecy, that is was true. Though even if you did not take literal part in it, a destruction happened to the valley again, a rise and a falling occurs, its a cycle, though you being born, it happened so soon in comparison when the valley fell with Arguin, Daemon, and the others and myself being there. Not as many moons passed between those times, that is why the age different is not so much Rage." A deep breath again, and he looked to the sun, and then to her, and offered a smile, this was it, all he could say until the sun would warm him again, and he would go into a day dream of a haze,
"It means that a rise will once again happen...but the one with the symbol must return...but now, not the symbol has evolved, but the rise can only happen if the blood from the source returns..."
Did she know now, did she understand?
The words that were absorbed nad processed left Rage unable to breath for a moment. A rise then a fall, a cycle, and it was to happen again. A part of her was happy, to know that her home would one day return to its paws, back on its feet and have new life sprung from the ash that had consumed the birthplace of herself, her soul.
But the symbol, her blood must return with the symbol.
That meant...
That meant she, or Tearh might go back? But what of Ryu adn Ano? Though they were parts of her, her blood did not spawn them, her soul had. The valley wuld return one day...but one of them would bring about the rise.
Looking out to the waves, a feeling of relief, and wonder swept over her body, a new day, yes, so amny new days ahead.
