"WEEEEE!" Caprice shouted as she dove headfirst off the side of the hill and into the water. She slipped on the entry and landed with a large SPLASH! into the water below. She surfaced quickly and shook her head fiercely to free the water that had lodged itself in her ears. The salty water was a blessing compared to the humid summer air. Sapice left the hot ground behind with a flick of her tail and dashed off into the debts. Below, the water was undisturbed by the blaze of the sun. A few fish scattered as Caprice brushed up against some coral as a backscratcher. She quickly apologized to them pushed off against some of the rocks. Further down, the water became too cold and Caprice was forced to surface.
But on her way to the top something strange caught Caprice's attention. It seemed to be a small, dark object that was floating still in the water. She was swimming too fast to see exactly what the object was, but lucky for her there seemed to be more than one floating around. Some were to her left, some were far off to her right, and some were straight in front of her. The presence of all these strange objects startled Caprice, so she quickened her pace.
A moment later, Caprice felt her nose touch the warmth of the air only to have it forced away from her. Panic gripped Caprice as she struggled against the unknown force that was oppressing her. All around her black netting bunched up and grabbed onto her fins and scales. A fisherman's net! The small black object, or weights, began to twist together as Caprice struggled and fought. She was an excellent swimmer, but the netting surrounded her completely and left her trapped like a rat. Her tail was pinned down and offered no help.
"Help!" Caprice struggled to call as she was pulled back down into the water. Caprice could breathe under the water, but panic was clouding her mind and her logic. She thrashed about fruitlessly trying to free herself. "Anyone!"

Up in the sky, a winged stallion flew with elegance. Swift Wind enjoyed flying and feeling the breeze in his hair as he picked up speed. Having the feel of need for a rush he went up higher as high as he could go. Making all sort of turns up in the sky as if doing a show for others to watch. Yes it was true, the male did like to show off a bit! The stallion felt his wings growing a bit tired from all the flying.
So he started to head downward again to rest up on land. As he was heading down he notice a good amount of water and land nearby. By chance he picked up a sound of someone calling for help! This made him fully alert for he always had to do whatever he could to save someone in distress. Swift Wind started to pick up speed using most of his remaining good amount of energy to quickly land. Once he landed with grace he looked around waiting for the voice again.
He herd the plea again and it was coming from the direction he saw the water from up in the sky. The male made a dash for it and once he came up to body of water, he noticed the problem. It seemed an rather interesting water mare has either been mistakenly caught in a net or for some sick twisted matter was actually done in purpose to catch her. Stretching out his wings he took to air again and flew above the water. Once he was on top of the net he looked down at the mare “Don’t worry I’ll get you out!” he told her while lowering his head.
He knew this horn was useful for something! Carefully he used his horn in certain points of the net to break it. Splitting it to allow the mare to escape the binds that held her still. He attempted to drag some of it off of her.

Caprice failed to notice the winged soquili soaring around in the sky above her. She was far too preoccupied with her fruitless struggle. The more she fought against the net, the tighter and more tangled it became. Her poor tail was being tightly pinched and started to turn more blue than normal. The light from the sun flickered overhead from where the stallion rushed down from the air, but her eyes were squeezed shut.
A moment later, Caprice felt the strings around her tail loosen. Then the ones around her front right leg gave way. Cheer ran through Caprices body as she realized, Someone heard my call! As another string broke loose, the net's hold over Caprice was lost and she drove beneath the water. This was her first instinct being a water creature. Under the water she flicked her tail and danced around happily. She tried not to think of what might have happened if no one had found her; a thin line wrapped around her neck from where a piece of the net had just taken hold. But this was the furthest thing from her mind. All Caprice wanted to do was give her savior the biggest hug she could offer.
Caprice swam near the sand as she headed towards the shore to avoid the net fragments that were floating around. Then she rushed onto the shore and turned around to get the first look at her savior. Caprice was suprised to see he had wings, since she hasn't met too many other soquili with them, but they made sense. How else could he have swooped down to rescue her? She also noticed his horn, which had a tiny piece of thread hanging from it. Caprice smiled as she pictured the stallion driving down and tearing the evil net with his sharp horn. She wanted to run up and thank him, but the stallion still hoovered over the water, looking for her probably.
"Over here!" Caprice shouted, giggling. She pranced around the shore eagerly as she waited for him to come meet her.

The stallion watched the water mare make for the shore. He herd her calls to come over to dry land so he flew back over towards land. He landed with perfect elegance and he didn’t bother to take notice he had some net remains on his horn. Swift wind gave her a smile “Hello, seems like something was trying to capture you. You haven’t ran away from a stallion have you?” he cocks his head slightly.
His feathered wings took a final shake before folding down. The pink stallion started to walk around the mare. Curious of what kind of type she was since he never seen her kind before “I’m Swift Wind and you are?” he asked her. Stopping in his tracks and keeping his eyes on her “Please do not think rudely of me. I’ve never seen a type like you before.” he tried to keep his manners up. He never wanted to appear rude before a mare, sure flirtatious but never rude.

Caprice smiled and eyed the stallion as he flew to the shore. He landed with an elegance that made her jealous! For a moment she shuddered to wonder what he thought of her less than graceful behavior. Caprice should have been careful not to flop herself like a beached whale onto the shore. But hopefully the stallion hadn't noticed.
At the mention of another stallion, Caprice burst into laughter. "Oh heavens no! That was probably the work of some ruthless fisherman." Caprice felt rather smart for knowing this term. A few weeks back a couple of two-leggers had wandered upon her beach. Most of what they said meant nothing to Caprice, such as 'boat' or 'cash,' but 'fisherman' had the word fish in it so that one stuck with her. Caprice grimaced to think the net was the work of those very same two-leggers.
Caprice blushed slightly as the stallion circled her. Most soquili that happened upon her beach behaved in this same way. They were all in awe of her tail and fins, which was starting to give Caprice a little ego. But she was in awe of the stallion's wings, so that made them even.
"I'm Caprice! Thank you for saving me Swift Wind." Caprice replied as she watched him came to a stop. "I guess you live up to your name!" This remark seemed a little corny, but Caprice couldn't help it. "Oh, don't worry about it. I'm flattered actually." Caprice said, trying to reassure Swift Winds.
