The stars sparkled in the sky as the crimson stallion walked along the beach. His dark frame would have been hard to make out in the cover of the forest he usually hung around, but the blue hues of the beach and ocean were just too cool for him to be 'invisible'; it just managed to make him stick out like a sore thumb, but he didn't care. He was too far into his thoughts to worry about who saw him or where he was for that matter.
He'd been walking restlessly for a good portion of the night, Asthario sleeping soundly on his back. He envied the cat for his smooth, undisturbed sleep. How he wished his mind would rest and let him get rid of the bags under his eyes. But he just couldn't understand some things.
He loved Strawberry Shortcake, and he thought she loved him too. It was hard to tell because she was so innocent, so pure, but they definitely had something. It was the relationship he had been wishing for, ever since seeing his sister with her mate. Now he realized something else; he was ready to become a father.
He'd mentioned it to Strawberry, and she'd agreed, but they'd had no success so far. What if he never had foals? The thought chilled him.

 Atum let out a heavy sigh as he flew over the water, his wings lightly tapped the surface of the water as he flew. How long had him and 'Naci been trying for foals now...The snow hadn't even fallen when they first tried...And now the snow had all melted and the leaves were returning. wAs there something wrong with him? He had seen one of Ignacia's sister have foals of her own...And now her daughter was pregnant...It just..Wasn't fair. Why did they have no luck while others have had foals of their own and were pregnant again...It just wasn't fair...
He fustratedly kicked the water before flying to the shore. He landed with a softly thump. He beat his wings a few times before they setted by his side. The black stallion was barely visable in the night though the golden streaks in his hair seemed to shine with the moon.

Asthario heard the other first. His ears flickered and he fluttered awake and looked around. His fur bristled and he growled low in his throat, searching the night for whatever was about.
Arsenic wasn't quite sure what was happening, hell it had taken him a whil ot realize Asthario was growling. He turned his head to look at the lion as best he could and flicked an ear. "What's going- Oh.." He could hear the crunching of sand now and looked around. Too bad the wasn't much a moon to see by.
"Who's there?" He called in his soft, harmless voice. Any attempt at seeming big and bad would have failed miserably.
