I also prefer the original king james version. It is so beautiful, but I often do refer to my NIV.

New Jerusalem - it's a nice size, an it's translation is easier for me to read ^^

it usually depends, currently I read New Kings James and I think too much has already been lost in translation, no matter if its KJV or NKJV

i have a king james version, a new king james version, and a holman christian standard bible (holman csb). i usually read my new king james version (it's a pink precious moments bible, and i love it lol. it was my first bible. twas a gift from my grandma in 6th grade! heart ), but if something confuses me or isn't quite clear, i'll refer to one of the other ones. i want to get more versions though. it's good for when you need some clarification.

I only have a new king james version...and I haven't even read all the way through genisis yet...and I think that a lot is lost in translation between my bible and my friends teen bible...so I personally prefer my bible and would probably prefer the old king james version more...even if it is harder to understand

I grew up in a church that used primarily the NIV, so that is what I liked growing up. I think back then I preferred it because it was easier to read along in church when you were reading what everyone else was.

I think my favourite version to sit and read is probably NKJV for the moment, at least. I like having several different versions on hand to cross reference whenever I feel the need.

I think my least favourite versions are probably the Easy to Read and The Message. Easy to Read was the free Bible that my church always gave out when I was growing up. I think the main thing that annoys me about The Message is the fact that it isn't divided up into verses so it isn't easy to cross-reference.

I own both a kjv and a niv. They're both great but I read my kjv most often. That's do to more interest and I can't find my niv. sweatdrop
