Adriel was wearing something he hoped to never be forced to wear again. Tights. He felt so..nakid. His tentacles were free to roam and couldn't help but strok Adriel's chest and tug at the short like hem at his thighs.
There was music playing there were kids...most younger than he was. And he was freaked right out. He kept his distance from everyone. Mainly fearful that his tentacles may try and pull something. And by something that meant a leotard.
He gave a paniced look to his mother who was now positioned outside the classroom and sitting behind a glass window watching him. She gave him a wave of encouragement but he felt only more alone now. Fearfully he took the back of the classroom. What was he suppose to do here again?

At the other end of the room and equally alone Mareike fidgeted in her leotard. The thin White fabric stood out harshly against her dark Burgundy skin, not that she had really noticed or particularly cared. The concept of looking good was beyond one her age and in general she didn't have time to focus on her looks.
Agitated by the loud and erratic music as well as the lack of anything interesting happening, the girl's hands were balled into fists as she finished the last of her warmup stretches and waited for the teacher to take charge.

Adriel looked and noticed a strange young girl who definately stood out from the rest. She had dark red like skin and strikingly pale purple hair. He could define her as pretty if he wasn't a boy and she had...wings. Blinking, he grabbed onto his tentacles and shuffeled over to where she was standing. He didn't say anything but noticed her eyes are orange...and she had three eyes.
She reminded him of Duncan. He had three eyes too and dark red like skin. BUt his wings were much different than hers. Hers were feathery and looked so soft. He didn't say anything to her. Too shy to even broach the gap of hello. Soon though he wouldn't get a chance to as the music got quiet and the instructor a woman began telling the students to form rows of three and to sit on a matt.
Looking nervously around he noticed he was standing right beside a matt, but the girl was right beside it as well.
"...u..um..you ..can have that one.." He offered.

The lone yellow eyed slid to the side as if to view as much of the the tentacled boy as possible. " I don't want to sit." She grumbled but grudgingly took the offered mat with a huff and glint of something not quite describable in her main eyes.
" Sit" she ordered the boy and pointed to the mat next to her. There was something special about this boy. Perhaps it was the purple tentacles he had in addition to his arms, perhaps it was he was practically the only boy in the class or maybe it was just becuase Mareike deemed him so, either way he was now the secondary focus of her attention after the teacher.
Forced to sit, Mareike drummed her fingers on the mat and enjoy the soft sound they mat as flesh hit plastic and tiny dents appeared then erase themselves.

He felt very out of place here. Mostly the age gap, but his mom had convinced him that nothing could go wrong here with him being the eldest he was feeling very...unsure of her words at this moment. When ordered to sit. He sat.
Nearly falling onto the mat to obey the girl. She was pretty...but kinda scary. Just like...Duncan. He couldn't bring himself to ponder on what exactly about her attracted him so. He didn't really get a chance to think on it further as the teacher instructed them to sit with the palms of their feet together and to follow along with the stretches.
It took him a while to get his feet to stay in that position, it didn't help that his tentacles were trying to wriggle out of his grasp and 'slither' their way to the girl. This was a bad idea...mom should know that his tentacles always misbehaved with there were girls around. Though they did the same to other girls...they were particular bad when one similar to himself was near.
"stop it." he whispered in a pleading tone to them.

Mareike was well aware of the tentacles actions. Mostly becuase she'd found herself in a position of boredom and frustration. her legs felt funny bent like this and stretches were no fun. Gymnastics had looked fun before but they weren't doing any of the fun stuff and that annoyed the young girl.
Thus, mind wandering Mareike had taken to looking around the room with her third eye while keeping her main set centered on the teacher lest something fun happen. It was with her yellow eye that she spotted the antics of the tentacle and surprisingly it made her smile.
With the teacher's attention focused on another student for the moment Mareike leaned over and reached out for the closest purple limb " It's ok it looks nice."

Adriel stiffened gnawing on his lower lip in fear and anxiety, what if his limbs decided this was the perfect opportunity to try and coax the girl closer? And maybe snap her leotard teasingly?? All these wild scenario's flooded through his mind of the bad things his limbs would do before he had a chance to react to them? They seemed to be able to read his thoughts...he unfortunately could not predict their behavior.
When she touched one he took a moment to realize this, the limb of course like a cat butted itself against her hands as if demanding pets and attention. The other one...falling short of the girl strained eagerly to get closer. Adriel could feel his body tipping to the side. He flailed his arms wildly to try and keep balance but it was too late. Now falling off his matt and onto his side he knew his other tentacle could reach the girl but he was too disoriented to react. He fell over and hit his elbow, the jarring in his arm made him want to cry out in pain. Who ever named this the funny bone obviously had never hit it before, for it certainly was not funny.
The second tentacle now happily within reach stroked the girls arm demanding as much attention as the other limb.

Mareike resisted the urge to giggle. It was so funny the tentacles controlling the bigger boy and not the other way around.
Ignoring the teacher completely she pet the purple limbs finding their textures quite different from what she'd expected. She'd seen tentacles on an octopus on t.v and those had looked slimy but these weren't slimy at all, although they didn't feel like normal skin either. It made her a bit jealous after all she didn't have nice tentacles just silly wings that got in the way all the time and shouldn't get too wet and had to be kept nice and clean and arrg it was horrible. Subconsciously Mareike squeezed the one tentacle a bit tighter in agitation.
For a moment she directed her attention to the fallen boy the limbs were attached to. " Are you broken?"

Thrilled at recieving attention the two tentacles fought, or 'quarraled' as it were, with each other trying to get the most attention possible. The right one was always gentle stroking her hand, whilst the left poked and prodded what he would reach, like a cat demanding attention by butting its head up against anything it could reach.
Adriel lay on the floor a bit dazed, he thought he heard the teacher telling him to get back on his matt, but he wasn't sure. All he was sure off was that the girl beside him was asking him something. Broken? No...he didn't think anything was broken.
"Uh...I'm okay..." He said trying to figure out a way to get back up without further agrivating his tentacles and causing them to misbehave. THey were demanding attention...that was okay he guessed, but if they tried anything more then that he had a feeling he would be in trouble.

Mareike struggled to give the tentacles the attention they wanted without getting too distracted. Unfortunately the teacher had sent her more than few glares and Mareike hated being looked at like that. " We can play later" she whispered in promise to both the boy and his limbs before she slipped back over to the center of her own mat.
Annoyed she blew furiously at a stray thistle colored bang before having all three of her eyes focus on the teacher. She was explaining now about how to walk on the balance beam. Apparently they were going to have to hold her hand to do it. Mareike ground her teeth at the thought, she didn't need help becuase she wasn't going to fall.

Blinking Adriel watched as his limbs sastisfied with what the girl had told them slinked back to his side. Wow...this was new. He wondered what she said to them..he didn't hear her so well. Sitting back back up he tried to refocus. Beam? What was going on? The other students were standing so he followed quickly in suit.
There was a balance beam with matts on either side of it. He guessed it was for if they fell. He wasn't sure if he liked the idea of falling off of it.
Instructed to line up he held onto his limbs just in case they tried anything, but...they seemed strangely content. THey weren't interested in the other kids only...Mareike. And she had promised to play with them later. Strangely trusting to apendages...
He stood behind Mareike looking at her beautiful wings, they were awe inspiring, he had no wings...he longed for them. Soft feathery wings.... he wanted to touch them but dared not to.
"Um...hi." He whispered to her, "m..my name is Adriel.." he offered to her with a shy smile.

" That's a nice name," It sounded like a girl name but then again this boy sorta looked like a girl so it was ok right? "I'm Mareike, I don't like it." There was no rational reason why the girl hated her name she just thought it wasn't right that it didn't work for her, although perhaps it was becuase no one ever pronounced it right and thus irritated her by struggling to get it correct.
" I'm not gonna fall" she whispered loudly her three eyes flicking between Adriel and the teacher. " I don't need help." It was insulting and as the girl clenched her tiny fists she wished fervently for the teacher to somehow understand this and not dare to place her hand over hers and guide her across the beam like the others. Mareike knew how to walk who cared if the beam was small, what was what wings were for, balance.

Adriel smiled more , he thought her name was pretty, but she didn't like it...he wondered why. He wondered breifly if it would be too bold to offer her a nickname. If she didn't like her name why not give her a name she could like?
"Um...why don't you give yourself a nickname then? If you don't like your name... but um..." He offered the girl but was soon too shy to continue.
He soon focused on her next comment,
"I...I think I may fall...my tentacles don't really listen to me ...so balancing is hard sometimes." He explained being honest.

Mareike looked thoughtful for a second " Nicknames are short, penny is pen sometimes for short. Mareike doesn't go short. " For Mareike the concept of a nickname that wasn't a short form was foreign having only known that Penny was Pen and nickle became Nick.
Her orange eye's narrowed at Adriel's comment and she frowned glaring at the tentacles, " behave or else' she warned. Penny liked to use a firm tone with her to make her behave, so she was going to use a firm tone with the tentacles.
Before she had a chance to see if it worked or not it was Mareike's turn up on them beam and grudgingly she accepted the help of the teacher. Admittedly she found the beam to be higher off the ground than expected and her wings didn't seem to be doing too much accept catching the wind created by the combined breathing of the class but still it wasn't like she felt she would fall off any moment now.

Adriel wondered what she meant that her name couldn't go short. Sometimes his mother called him Addy even though it didn't sound like his name at all. He was a bit confused, but before he could say anything it was Mareike's turn on the balance beam. He found himself holding his breath as he watched her move. The tentacles 'watched' as well. Strange behavior from something that didn't actually have eyes. They were...strangely behaving it was as if Mareike was someone they would listen to.
Adriel chewed on his lower lip. He really wanted to help her out. He was older...well...the oldest in the class it seemed. But...the urge to help was still there. He wanted to cheer her on, but he couldn't bring himself to raise his voice. So instead his tentacles waved a bunch, trying to grab the girls attention.
