My school's Prom and After Prom were on April 26th. Prom was held at the Denver Athletic Club, which turned out to be a really nice place, even though the neighborhood. After Prom was held at the school. For those who don't have it, After Prom is a drug and alcohol-free party organized by the school, featuring games, free food, a raffle for big prizes, and other fun activities. I didn't go to Prom last year and I figured that I shouldn't miss my senior Prom or I could end up regretting it later on in life.
So, here's a re-cap of my experiences:
Prom - Since I went alone, I hung out with a few different people. And I actually had a lot of fun. It was nice feeling dolled up and pretty for a night. I received a lot of compliments, which was awesome.
After Prom - Got a henna tattoo and played a lot of Black Jack with a 10 year old dealer who's apparently been playing the game since he was 4. He looked adorable in his little tuxedo. ^^;;; I also won candy, money, and free car washes from the booth where you go in, they turn on the air, and you catch as many papers as you can in 15 seconds. I was feeling pretty crappy and tired by 3am when they started the raffle. Whelp, good thing I stuck around, since I ended up winning the grand prize by a strange twist of luck. Proud owner of a new notebook and a printer. :3 It's actually kind of funny, since I didn't really realize what I had won until we got my stuff home.
