Aurianna Lithiyane, Professor of Charms at Hogwarts, and head of the house Ravenclaw, was standing at the counter, having a low voiced argument with the owner. "I specifically told you the sixth edition is unacceptable! It contains those SCURRILOUS spells that Jameson invented last summer. My students require Fifth! If any of them show up with the sixth, I'm going to have to return here with each and every one, demand a full refund for my students, and order them directly from TUBS!" She looked angry, and annoyed when the owner said "Tubs? What on.."
"TUBS, man! The Used Book Source. Run by a school mate of mine, SHE has got the clever idea to resell books that most no longer need! So. Either get the right stock in, or loose a LOT of money!"

Meanwhile, at the other end of the shop, Mellisande Volonté was browsing books of recent music, looking for a Good Bye gift for her mother, for at least until the Christmas break. "Hmmmm... it would not please her..." she murmured as she put one back, and selected another, thoughtfully. "What about this one?"

Cleopatra(Chloe) Cabana-Vera enters the shop and passes by the Charms Professor at the counter talking to the owner. Then she walks over to a book shelf searching for a book on her list. She turns real quick to look outside the window then looks back again thinking she saw something but she just goes back to what she was doing.

Ally walks into the shop and heads right to the Arithmancy section only stopping a moment to wave and smile at Chloe. The book has got to be here somewhere she thought. "Ah Ha!" she said rather loudly picking a book up off the shelf. She started reading the back of the book to see if it sounds as promising as the review of it made it out to be. "Yes this sounds good for sure," she said. She then headed over to the biographies section and picked up a book on Harry Potter. She look to see who the author was and noticing the author was Rita Skeeter went to put the book down but then stopped. She started reading the back. "haha I see Rita hasn't changed," she said laughing and putting the book down.

Chloe takes the required books on the list to the front counter to be bought. On the way to the counter she picks up a book on the prison of azkaban & werewolfes. Then she pays for the books and leaves to go to the Leaky Cauldron.

Aurianna headed out, after the argument ended, and went towards the new Ice Cream Parlor that had opened. A nice cone sounded good, and she was ready. She nodded as she passed people she knew, her hair in a tight bun on her head.

Finding a good book for her mother, Mellisande took it to the counter, and paid, then walked towards the door, her eyes searching for any of her schoolmates. Not finding anyone, she walked out the door, heading for the Leaky Cauldron.

Jada walks in and pull up a long list of books some she has to buy for her next year at Hogwarts from her bag. „So many books to buy“she said in a low voice worried that she would not have enough money to buy them all. Her family was not to rich of wizard’s money, as they did call them back home and she did almost spend all of her muggle moneys on muggle books, but she knew that she could not pay these books with that kind of money. I hope I have enough room in my bag for all fo this books she though while she was browsing through the bookshelfs.

Philippa walks slowly with a big smile into Flourish and Blott's. and walks fast to one of the bookshelves. She pulls up her sweater so her white arm are showing and reads of it the books some she has to buy, it was the best way for her to remember anything, just writing it on her arm.

Judas walked as slowly as he could through Flourish and Blotts. He loved books - they were so much simpler than people. He noticed other people in the store and began grabbing everything he could ever conceivably need. He bought them quickly and rushed out into the street.

"Now you shush up, and don't make a sound while we're in here, it's a bookshop, not a pub, got it?" Eloel felt a bit silly hissing instructions to her kitten, who sat mournfully in her bag on top of her quills and tightly capped bottles of ink, but she and Somadhi always understood each other.

Eloel walked into Flourish and Blotts, inhaling deeply. The fresh smell of ink and books overwhelmed her in the best possible way. She flipped over her hand and read out the number of Galleons she needed for all her books. She headed toward the shelf with the Transfiguration books, picked up a copy of Intermediate Transfiguration and soon went and retrieved a copy of The Standard Book of Spells, Grade Three.

Eloel hopped to the counter, sliding ungracefully the whole last bit there, whipped out her Galleons and gently placed the books in front of the clerk. She smirked at the clerk's dumbfounded look at her House crest. Yeah... she knew she was an eccentric Slytherin, to say the least. The clerk silently bundled up Eloel's purchases and watched her prance out, her multitude of bags swinging freely and wildly, missing the displays by a mere half inch as she made her way out to what used to be Fortescue's.

Eevee entered Flourish and Blotts with a smile on her face. It was one of her favourite boutiques on Diagon Alley. The air was warm and welcoming, and the vast collection of books was astounding. She checked her list for this year's required reading. "Only two this year, Berek," she began, "we need The Standard Book of Spells, Grade Five by Miranda Goshawk, as well as Defensive Magical Theory by Wilbert Slinkhard. Berek, go find Defensive Magical Theory, and I'll find The Standard Book of Spells. Come find me when you've found it."

Berek flitted off her shoulder and disappeared behind a tower of books. She, herself, went to the section she went last year for The Standard Book of Spells, Grade Four. She found the books and moved her view to the left, looking for Grade Five. She was unsuccessful so moved downwards. Sure enough, there was her spell book for the year. "Aha! There you are!" Eevee checked all the books for damages and other undesirable traits and chose the best looking one of all. She heard a flutter of wings and she called to Berek, "I'm over here, Berek." No sooner, than she saw his little yellow body turn the corner and come down her aisle. "I found it, it's over here!" He flew back down the aisle and Eevee followed.

When they reached the location, he landed sideways on a book. Eevee brushed him gently aside and read the title, Defensive Magical Theory. "Good job, Berek!" she removed the book from the bookcase, "now lets go find another book for some free reading." Eevee and Berek set off down the aisles, reading book covers. "Hey look!" Berek said excitedly, "The Alchemyst, it's about Nicholas Flemmel." Eevee flipped through the pages before snapping it shut. "Sweet, let's get it!"

Eevee and Berek made their way to the counter to purchase their books. Eevee paid four galleons for the books. "Could I possibly leave these books here until I've finished my shopping?" The cashier agreed and Eevee gave her all the books except The Alchemyst. "Not that one?" the cashier asked. "No, I want to read this one at the ice cream parlour. I'll be back for my books later, thank you very much!" She gave the cashier an extra galleon as she did the owner of the Apothecary shop, and then made her way towards the front door, her book under her arm. "What do you say we go to the ice cream parlour and then to the Magical Menagerie? We can pick you up some goodies to keep you happy for the year." She felt Berek flit his wings and she knew he had no arguments on the notion. The pair set off towards the ice cream parlour.

Sam hummed tunelessly to herself, beaming at the familiar sights and smells of Flourish & Blott's. She patted herself on the back for buying potion ingredients in excess last year, for not only had she needed some of them for her more colossal screw-ups in class, but it also meant that she only needed to get her books for this year. Her wallet, now full of wizard money, jangled happily with coins. Maybe she'd get a few extra books for leisure as a reward.

She went up to the counter first and got the basic fourth year student package. Sam had been unable to decide a career path once that time had come as a third year, so she had stuck with the same subjects. She didn't mind. After picking those, she browsed the Charms section for a while, until she found one that nearly made her cry in delight. "The Art of Charms for the Arts: For Musicians, Artists, and Other Visionaries." The back of the book described charms that would keep your voice in top condition for a few hours ("you could scream all you want and could still sound as sweet as a nightengale!"), a charm to prevent a painting from getting ruined should you spill anything on it, and other such charms. She hugged it to herself before running back to the counter for her total. She handed over the galleons and received her bag of books. Maybe a butterbeer wouldn't be bad before heading home...
