The morning had started off nice. The sun was shining, the birds were singing. Flowers opened their soft petals as they awoke from their sleep.
But one particular flower had a guest during the night. As it opened its petals, the sunlight hit the Flutter's face. Eyes scrunched shut tightly for a moment before they opened slowly. Chocolate colored eyes still a bit dreary from sleep. "You guys just don't like to let a girl sleep, huh?" She mumbled tiredly. It seemed the flowers were opening more and more earlier as the days went by. So Olivia didn't get many chances to sleep in.
She quickly got to her feet, eyes lidded half way still as she walked towards the edge of the flower and walked off its edge. Falling to the ground quickly, but before she hit, the mare's wings spread open and she glided upwards. Her wings beating as they carried her above the grass.
And then in an instant, the tiny flutter's size grew until she was about the size of a small mare. Normally, she stuck to her small size. But today she didn't feel like getting trampled on. Larger wings opened and closed as she gave a small yawn and another glance at the smaller world. "Wonder if anyone will come by today...At least they won't step on me this time." She had had that experience too many times in the past in her small form. Or was overlooked. Perhaps today someone would notice her.

"Aaaahhh!" Kama yelled, backpedaling quickly and falling on his behind. "Woah...you scared me!"
He sat there panting, looking shocked to see a small mare with butterfly wings appear out of no where a couple feet in front of him as he'd entered the clearing where she'd been sleeping in the flowers He'd heard rumors that such Soquili existed that could change size and become as small as the bugs, but he'd thought that was just a myth or a legend.
At least till just this moment.
Getting up he shook himself, gathering his wits and thoughts back about him, then gave her a goofy grin hoping she'd forgive him for his intrusion. "Uh...seems like you got your wish this morning. though I'm sorry for...uh...that..." He shuffled his feet looking uncomfortable and nervous, and wondering if she probably thought him just like others tended to.

Olivia's ears swiveled backwards at the sudden yelling. Her wings splayed out almost flat as she froze. Clearly startled. Well, she hadn't quite expected this! Though she supposed that seeing a Soquili just spring up from the ground would be startling as well.
Letting her heart settle, she turned her head. Long two-toned blue mane moving behind her as she gave a subtle flick of her hair. Wings moving up and down slowly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you..." She frowned lightly. "Didn't really expect anyone to be sneaking around. But perhaps its my fault for not looking before I changed sizes..." The flutter mare lowered her head lightly, letting a few strands of her bangs fall over her face as she cast a glance up at the stallion from where she stood. "Who are you, by the way?"

Sneaking around? All he’d been doing was going for a morning walk, but decided not to take offense as she was probably as startled by him as he’d been by her. Pawing the ground nervously, he offered, “Why don’t we just say it was both our faults and then be even? Honestly, it was more chance than much planned wouldn’t you agree? My name’s Kama...what’s yours?”
Cocking his head to the side, his long forelock falling over one eye, he was entranced by her butterfly wings as they opened and closed. “Wow, Mom always told me there were Soquili that could change shape, but I always thought those were just fun stories...you have such beautiful wings!” He knew he sounded very colt-ish with that remark, but even he had to admit there was little about the wide world he could claim to know about even if he was a stallion with brains.

Perhaps it was both their faults. Either way, it was something to agree to instead of pointing a finger at each other for scaring the other. Lifting her head, she gave her mane a quick little toss out of the way. "I'm Olivia. Its nice to meet you, Kama." A little smile came to her lips as she gave the new stallion a quick little look over. Trying to make it not seem so obvious.
Tilting her head slightly in a similar fashion to his, she raised an eyebrow curiously. The mare always felt like her own kind got over looked quite a bit. Well, most of them were tiny in the first place so it was pretty easy to overlook ones of that stature. She gave her wings another quick little open and close. "Nope! We're very real."
Her smile changed to a wide grin before her eyes casually shot back towards where her wings were. Though she didn't really see them all that well since she hadn't turned her head. "Thank you. I get them from my mother. You've got some interesting spots there. Some look like hearts!"
If that wasn't an obvious statement.

Kama chuckled and flicked his hair out of his face, pleased at the compliment. “Indeed they are hearts, I got them from my mom as well! Admittedly, except for my mane and tail, I look more like my mother than my father.” For a moment, when she flicked her wings open and close again, he became entranced once more, but then came to his senses. “Olivia, huh? A pretty name for a pretty mare. What is it like to be a….what do your kind call yourselves? F-f…Flutters is it? Seems to me it’s gotta be pretty dangerous at times..”

She blushed momentarily at his compliment. In all truth, Olivia did not see herself as one with any real beauty. No, her mother had kept that little thing to herself and left Olivia rather plain looking. She did not have the curly hair, black hair that her mother strode around with. "Ah, thank you. I guess you could say I look more like my father than my mother."
Nodding her head, she smiled. Pushing her previous thoughts aside. "Yes, Flutters. Its an interesting way to live I suppose. You get to see the world from different views. And yes, it is quite dangerous, especially when one is in their smaller form. You could get trampled, sat on, blown away by the wind if your not careful!"
