I have watched two supernatural shows that has to do with looking for ghost. Most Haunted and TAPS, I believe, are the most popular shows (I think) to watch someone search for the paranormal. Many people tune in to watch these shows. Some believe that what their doing is the real deal and the others think that it is just a joke.

Question Now the question is which shows do you believe is a hoax? If both tell why. If none explain your answers. If one tell me which and why? ((I just want to hear your opinion))

From your own post it's pretty clear which one you think it the 'joke'.
The article you bring up was posted in the Mirror which is known to edit facts to suits it's own liking, so it is unfair to bring that into it. O'keeffe also said that although Derek did seem to fake some thing he was correct on many other things that he shouldn't have been able to know.
Since both are TV Shows they are both made to be entertainment, so to class one as an investigating and one as not is unfair.
In a personally note I've never seen TAPS. Only heard about it on here.

I thought Most Haunted was somewhat legit until I watched their all night long special thing that they did last summer... I stayed up for the entire investigation and was NOT impressed at all. They just seemed to scream the entire time that the screen hadn't cut off. : / That kind of turned me away from them and towards TAPS. I absolutely LOVE TAPS. Their show, in my humble opinion, is a lot more reliable. They don't lean towards religion or anything (like Most Haunted did by pulling out a ouji board and stuff), and they just seem trustworthy. I watch the show every week and have seen pretty much every episode. : D Yay TAPS!

I think both are pretty cool and interesting shows. However, I'd have to go with TAPS. It would be nice if 'Most Haunted' would investigate other sites besides castles. Plus, it seems to me that the storyline in 'Most Haunted' is almost always the same. While, I enjoy TAPS because I like the crew and they're always investigating various and interesting places. And many of these places have cool and mysterious story lines.

I'd have to say that Most Haunted has to be a hoax. EVERY place they go in just happens to be haunted by and evil entity. They never show legit evidence, and they never debunk anything. They just run around screaming saying "if your here, throw something." TAPS, on the otherhand, goes and try and disprove hauntings. They show the evidence, they debunk things, and not everyplace they go is haunted. And i know for sure that they actually exsist cuz you can contact them with an actual mailing adress or phone number. While Most Haunted, and their crew is just made for TV. The only way to contact them is through the Travel Channel.

Well I FINALLY found an episode of Ghost Hunters online (I found it by accident I was looking for something else). I've never seen it before as I don't get the SciFi channel.
And I'll admit it was pretty interesting, some part did seemed to be shot strangely; for example a lot of shots of the outside of the house they were in and sudden close up of blank walls (I was watching Episode 3 Season 3).
It does put Most Haunted to shame with the way it is investigated but I still like Most Haunted more. Mainly because I love the stories behind the places more that the actually proof.
What can I say! I love the stories more that anything.
Think I'll go find another episode now.

I've never seen Most Haunted, but I'm a very big fan of TAPS. I believe that everything that they reveal on the show is really happening. Also, they go in with an open mind. They believe something can happen, and if it does they will try to debunk it. Not to mention that if anyone has seen the episode where they go to the sanitarium, "I like the one in that hat."

I am a huge lover of TAPS. And believe them to actually be real. Now, Most Haunted is weird for me; because it takes "true" stories and reenacts them. So, for all I know that could just be someone making something up and sending it in.
As for TAPS, I dunno. I feel as if I can watch and trust them with what they're saying. They aren't like most shows who call a house haunted over one little orb or something moving. They base on their experience AND the evidence they get. Which is wonderful.

I have never seen either show, though I've heard both are bogus. If your trying to convince a skeptic, or looking for a show with solid proof, check out Ghost Lab, on discovery.

I religiously watched every episode of Most Haunted up to the end of Season 4, primarily because they often explored places I'd read about or been to since there was a British focus on it. Now that I've seen TAPS's stuff, I find the latter a lot more entertaining, not least of which because Steve Gonsalves is pretty damn fit. That, and they adopt a slightly more investigative approach to the phenonema they supposedly experience, rather than Yvette Fielding's common investigation technique of screaming and running in the opposite direction. Regardless of the amount of truthiness or actual rigorous scientific investigation, they're both entertaining in their own way.
