Where had the time gone as the snow lingered back to the mountains and spring finally made her appearance the ice mare wondered with a subtle flick of her ears.
She had given birth to four baskets which now were springing with life bringing youth and wonder back in the elder's life once more. Her two sons, eldest in her family, had moved on with their own lives causing sadness in Celendria's heart. She missed the little hooves that once paraded around her trying to be big as their parents. One more talkative then the other they were her pride and joy within her beating breast. Her daughters raised by her kindness and love through adoption, had set off on their own to bear families of their own over the seasons. She'd caught wind of her grand children and great grandchildren now growing up in her children's eyes. Forever it seemed that each generation always followed in suit, seeking a mate and bearing their memories within blood that stretched back to Celendria and Euphoria.
Such was life that always moved onward in a full circle.
She smiled softly, a happiness that was gracing her tired yet complacent face, watching them explore and play before her. Of the four born, only one was earthbound yet she seemed determined to not let it get to her. She was quite delicate and shy, yet she was curious and spellbound by everything around her. A perfect composite mix of her parents and possibly something else. Seemed her little earthbound daughter was bearing a bloodline dating backwards to Euphoria's father Malikai. She was special indeed which though Celendria didn't try, she favored her delicate daughter out of her perfect four.
Cerylia was just full of questions about everything, shying meekly when something didn't go right or spooked her. She was a curious sort though looking here and there while she gained a footing for where she was. Her first question of course, "Mommy why don't we have wings like everyone? How do we fly with none?" Such a peculiar predicament really trying to fly with no wings, a bit unsettling in a new child's mind. But after she contemplated that there were other questions that followed soon after. She definitely was keeping her mother busy to say the least.
On this day Celendria wanted to go out in the world showing her children the various things that grew in certain places, and the lesson of Trust. What not to speak to, what to avoid should certain signs arise was Celendria's goal. So she herded them out with her to begin their first lesson in life...

Amarantha followed a little behind her mother and sister. She always felt a little odd that her sister couldn't fly but her brothers could. She had wings however, she wasn't a hundred percent sure how they really worked and was much more content staying on the ground. It was so much easier to keep up with her mother and sister that way. She wasn't really shy but she did keep to herself, she had a nurturing side to her that she inevitably picked up from her mother. But she was also a bit naive when it came to seeing the "bad" in others. There was always a benefit of the doubt for her, there was never a truly bad soquili out there only sometimes they could be mean. Today her mother was going to take them all out and explain some ideas of the world today, she was going to spend a bit of time with her family, today would probably be a very eventful day for the little foal even though she didn't really understand the concept of mean and bad that her mother warned them about.

A yellow colt peers out behind Celendria's hind legs curiously while his small white wings flutters excitedly. He knows that Celendria is going to take them exploring and teach them more things. Caius' eyes drifts over to his siblings and he wickers at them excitedly then danced over to Celendria's front legs. "Momma..." He tilts his head up at her and smiles fondly.
Caius is very polite, outgoing colt with positive outlook on the life and soquilis around him. But like other colts, he loves to explore and learn about new things while driving his parents crazy with worry when he do something that could endanger his life or others around him.

Amarantha looked at her brother Caius, he seemed so sure and aware of everything around him. Giggling softly she trotted up to him and nudge him with her head,
"Hey...what are you doing? We can't bother her too much...she's taking us out to teach uh...uh...teach us!"
Amarantha said finally, slightly proud of herself but at the same time she looked about wondering where her other brother had disappeared to.

Cerylia envied her brothers and sisters for they would like her father someday take off to the sky. But yet the fact she was by her mother's side made her feel cherished and special somehow. Her big brother Kohana was said to be like her and mama, carrying no wings but the swiftness of his stride. He was said to have a fiesy nature though, maybe to make up for the lack of flying she pondered. Her brothers and sisters though did carry them along with her other larger sibling Safi, whom she noted had talked with her briefly before.
Flicking her tail she stayed by her mother's side, ears curious with a swiveling motion to everything around her.
Celendria was still in her trance of wonder watching the children with her. A dream finally come true in her eyes. First of course was reaching the status of elder, being highly noted and respected within her herd. Second was sharing that bond with her mate letting it germinate and bloom into the outcome of children once more. The elder with her eyes soft and loving couldn't of asked for more in her life, thankful the wintry whisperings never fully swayed her to stay in her homeland.
Her ears perked to her son's query causing her to look up with a soft disposition that settled with her. "Yes Caius?" she responded with calm reasoning and interest to her children's questions. Blinking she tossed her head leaning downward to nuzzle her daughter that clung to her side. Now was the time to start teaching them about things they would forever take to heart when they set out on their own...
"Children its time I begin your lessons... are you ready?" she chuckled serenely watching them with sparkling radiance that filled her limbs and heartbeat. "I'm going to teach you things you need to be aware of when you're older. With good intentions right now in case she comes back..." The thought of Cynder ran a chill down her spine causing her scar upon her chest to ache. It was highly important her children knew the world wasn't as nice and calm as it seemed. She would of given anything to keep them from that nasty bit of information if she could have.

Looking at her sister, who she slightly envied, she watched her tip around their mother. Then turning her entire focus on her mother,
"mama? Whos' her?"
She asked softly as she watched her mothers demenor change at the thought of something it pained her and she could see it. Trying not to let it bother her she nuzzled her sister Cerylia,
"You okay?"
