I was curious, one day i looked up flutes on wikipedia and i saw that there were at least 10 different kinds of flutes. and i absolutly fell in love with the contrabass and double contrabass flutes!!! i heard a recording and their so amazing it they have such a powerful tone and the sound has no words to explain it!!!

Yeah, I love the low flutes. Wish I had a chance to play one. Though it would probably make me pass out--waaaaayyy too much air needed. XD

Contrabass/Double contrabass flutes = f***ing awesome.

Argh! The Wind Ensemble I'm in isn't too big on flutes, we never get anything other than plain old flute and picc! D:

I want to play alto flute badly.

my school is lucky to have 2 altos and one bass......

personally i found that playing the alto is harder than the bass...
