Here's fun...
Ladies and Gentlemen, it's the much awaited PARTNERS IN CRIME trivia quiz!
As with the Voyage of the Damned quiz though, the questions are more about using the episode as a springboard to ask general stuff about the wider Doctor Who universe than about how closely you watched the story.
The quiz closes on Sunday the 4th of May and entries are by PM.
There's a Gwee Dragon as a prize for the person with the most right answers.
A quick word: You are currently on the Internet, the most terrifying "push buttons to know stuff" machine ever inventorised. Therefore an easy quiz is pointless. This is not an easy quiz.
It's worth a try though as, even if you only get one answer right, these are so horrible that you might well be one answer up on everyone else! I'm also going to be fairly generous with 'half-points' for people who've got the right idea but not the exact details.
1) How was the Fourth Doctor brought into the orbit of Sarah Lancashire's most famous role by a romantic gesture?
2) Election Special! What concern of Hilary Clinton's does Donna share in this episode ?
3) And why would that matter also be a serious worry to a turquoise jellyfish confronting the Sontarans?
4) Look! It's Bernard Cribbins, living legend and voice of the Wombles! But which televised source suggests the Wombles exist in the Whoniverse?
5) Look! It's Bernard Cribbins, living legend and Tom from Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD ! But which two elements originating in the Cushing films have become part of New Who?
6) And for that matter, how did an element originating in the Cushing films accidentally become part of a Tom Baker story?
7) The scenes where the Doctor and Donna keep almost meeting...and then accidentally avoiding each other at the last second is a set piece borrowed from stage farce. But which was the first ever Doctor Who story to use this joke?
8 ) And what was unusual about the way it was used in a Fifth Doctor story?
9) OMG, ROSE! And speaking of Roses...what has a large apricot-coloured rose got to do with Doctor Who and the Silurians and what has a bushy rose with white petals (and dramatic pinks bits round the edges) got to do with The Highlanders?
10) Why might Ceres and Eris be slightly affronted by one of Wilf's comments?

Seriously though, I can't wait to tackle this, even if my increasingly-apparent lack of knowledge of the Whoniverse slows me down. smile

I'll have a go!
I'll need to think about the answers, even though I definitely know the answer to numbers 7 and 10...
PM will arrive within the next few days, I think.

Right now I know the answers to about... 0. I suck. whee

I know.. 10. The question, not the amount. rofl
I looked up another for about 30 minutes and think I got that one.
I'll have to do this after I turn in the gigantic research paper tomorrow. whee

I cannot take this quiz. It is too evil. And I don't mean evil as in too hard, I mean evil in that you probably sacrificed a goat inside a pentacle and recorded the questions from a Greek-speaking demon to make that quiz gonk

EhmiEhmi Wow, I don't know if I can reasonably call myself a Dr. Who fan anymore. gonk crying Oh no, no, no...of course you can! That there's such an insane amount of stuff to know is liberating because it means that nobody can possibly know all of it. Other fandoms can have an Elite caste of show-offs who can reasonably claim to know everything about thier show. With Doctor Who then anybody who claims that sort of thing is obviously fibbing and we can safely ignore them. Nobody knows the Doctor's name. Nobody knows who he really is. Nobody can even agree on what TARDIS stands for! Sure some Who fans might know the answer to Question 8 and some might not, but on everything really important then everyone in fandom's in the same boat. We all know nothing.

I really feel like I should know that one. Unless it's in one of his few stories that I haven't seen.
