Harlequin trudged slowly, looking for her mom. She had a sad and concerned look on her face as she walked.

Cyrille walked slowly beside her daughter, glancing over every so often at the young female. Finally after several moments of watching Harlequin's deminor the mare stopped and turned towards her "Is something troubling you, my daughter?" she inquired.

"It's just..." Harlequin sighed. It was hard to put into words what she was thinking. In fact, it was hard to think. "I met some people and..." She trailed off, once again lost in thought. Her expression never changed.

Cyrille moved to stand face to face with her daughter and looked into her eyes. There was indeed something bothering the young mare. "Harly, dearest, just tell me what it is," she urged then leaned forward and nuzzled her daughter in an attempt to comfort her.

Quin kept silent for a good long while, not wanting to just come out and say what she was thinking. "Mom..." She spoke slowly as she picked each word carefully. "How much do you know about dad?"

Cyrille thought, for a moment, about Quin's question. "I know alot of things about your father; in some areas. There are other things, about him; I know little about," she replied. She reached over an nuzzled Quin for a moment, then stepped back and studied her "Why?

Harlequin nuzzled back for comfort. "Have you ever herd of two soquili having the same name?" Quin had never herd of such, but she willed herself to believe it could be. "There can be two with the same name, right?" She asked almost in a pleading way of her mother.

"I have never heard of two soquili having the same name," Cyrille replied, then looked face to face with Quin and said "I know, for a fact, there no other who has your father's name; if that is what you are trying to ask." then studied the young mare, silently trying to figure out why she was asking this question.

"Are you sure there is no other, not even one that has his name as part of their name?" What Quin feared was slowly and steadily becoming true. As her mom answered her questions, all her doubts and thoughts and reasons began to fade away. "Mom? Where does Daddy go when he disappears for a few days at a time?"

"Nope, he is the only one," Cyrille stated then looked at her daughter and cautiously asked "Why do you want to know where your dad goes, Quin?" She knew where Duncan went, she had known for quiet some time, but she wasn't sure if she wanted Quin to know. It was bad enough that Amadour had found out.
