[x]Nestled deep within one of the cushier chairs in the games room of the pound, there was... A bird? A plane?
Actually, it was a dog; But his markings often got him mistaken for the former. He closely resembled a male mallard duck, as was quite often pointed out to him. He didn't really mind, since they were certainly beautiful birds, and thus to him, it was a compliment.
In any case, there he was, curled up in his favorite chair, and deep in concentration at his favorite endeavor - A Wiimote held sideways in his hands, gray eyes intent on the screen in front of him, where Kirby, his favorite character, was smacking around a much larger, heavier, and less agile Donkey Kong. He grinned to himself as he used one of his favorite moves, turning Kirby into a rock which then fell onto his enemies, to send the stupid monkey flying off into the horizon.
"Brawl was so worth the wait," he thought to himself as he took a short break, settling back into his chair.

A brightly colored fox entered the room with his fluffy tail swaying lazily behind him. He had meant to be in the kitchen but for some reason the brightly colored fox tended to get lost in the corridors of the waywards building all to often.
The mallard marked dog had not caught his eye just yet nor did the playing of Brawl. Oblivious to his surroundings and a bit in his own mind he plopped down on the couch next to the mallard marked dog. Only than did he realize he wasnt alone which came to a pretty big shock to him. Oya nearly jumped up out of his furred skin at the fact of someone being there. Now it hit him, he was in the game room.

Anas had noticed the presence of the fox since he had first wandered in, and had, in fact, been tapping his foot rather impatiently ever since. He'd been waiting for the other inhabitant of the pound to approach him. He'd been getting a bit bored, much as he hated to admit it, playing by himself. He definitely craved either a playing partner, or someone to distract him in some other manner, at least.
When the brightly-colored fox finally settled down next to him, Anas immediately turned to him, setting his Wiimote aside for the moment, and held out his right hand. "Hi there," he said cordially, "I'm Anas. Who might you be?"

Oya, now more set in reality, extended his left hand with out a second thought. His friendly ways often were programmed into him, "My names Oya," he smiled, " Your playing Brawl eh?" His attention turned to the wii remote and the screen. "Pretty much Kirby fan?" The fox smiled. He observed the dogs strange bird like markings that resembled that of a mallard duck closely.
"Dude! Where bird brothers!" Oya said what he was thinking. A bad habit of his that he tended to do alot. Talking with out thinking.

He nodded to the newcomer, who he now knew as Oya, and grinned at his questions. "Yeah, I got the game a few days ago and I haven't been able to put it down. I can't seem to beat the last boss in Subspace Emissary, though," he frowned at this, his voice taking on a slightly whinier tone. "Oh, yeah, Kirby's awesome. They totally improved him in Brawl over the previous two games, too."
Anas blinked at the fox's final statement, a bit taken aback. He then leaned back a bit and took a more thorough look at the markings of this Oya fellow. "Ahhh," he said finally, "Parrot markings? Nice." He couldn't suppress a small grin at having run into someone else who was odd enough to have been born with bird-like markings. "Not sure how well parrots and ducks usually get along, though."

"Thats true, Parrots and Ducks are usually dont stay in the same climate... or do they?" He tilted his head, " I do believe a parrot and a fox are sharing the same couch. I dont think I fit the parrot profile, I mean I dont talk alot. Do I? Im not sure. People who talk alot sometimes annoy me, I mean its like oh my god would you please be quiet. I mean do ducks talk alot? No wait the profile for a duck would be swimming... " He paused after his huge hyppocritical rant.

Anas's tail began to twitch slightly in his impatience as the fox rambled on about the bird species' they resembled. He didn't consciously notice his irritation, not yet, but it was there. "Er... I don't know," he replied finally, with a shrug. "I like swimming just fine, I guess. No more than the average dog. You do seem to have the talking thing down, though," he added with a snort. "... Do you like crackers?" He figured he might receive a swat for that last query, but he just couldn't resist.

((LMAO I just noticed a typo i did. A parrot and a fox was supposed to be a parrot and a duck xD: ))
Oya scratched his head realizing he had just let his excitement get the best of him. "Oya wants a cracker!" Oya chuckled. He knew what Ana was getting at and had half a mind to squawk for him for giggles.
"Nah, I got excited is all," He said with a proud smirk on his maw, " I guess I talk alot out of excitement, but seriously I think its cool you look like a duck. I mean how often do you see a dog with bird like markings?" He chuckled, " Can you do the duck call ?"

(( xDD I figured. ))
Anas couldn't help but erupt into a minor giggle fit at the cracker statement. Quickly clearing his throat and attempting to pretend it had never happened, he grinned and shrugged. "I guess it's cool, yeah... Though a parrot is definitely flashier, I think. You can see a duck at any old pond around here. I kind of like to watch them, actually..." He'd wandered down to the pond nearest the pound quite a few times during the warmer months, sitting on the banks and feeding the ducks. It made him feel oddly at home. "I really am a weirdo," he thought in response to the memory.
"The duck call, eh?" He glanced around quickly to make sure no one else was in the room, then leaned in close and quacked in a surprisingly good imitation.

Oya almost chuckled but didnt. It was a pretty amazing thing to be able to do that good of an imitation of a duck. " Thats pretty incredible dude! I dont think a duck call whistle could have made a better duck call than you just did," Oya's lips parted and did a very bad imitation of a parrots squawk.
"Haha, guess Im not to good at that kind of imitation. You have skills dude. Major skills for sure," He nodded as his tummy grumbled, "Haha, guess Oya really does want a cracker," He blushed but his red fur covered any signs of redness.

At the praise, Anas just kind of shrugged sheepishly and scratched at the back of his neck. "It's nothing special," he said lamely. The dog was kind of proud of his quacking abilities, to be quite honest, but he'd never demonstrated them for anyone else before (Except, of course, the ducks), and so he was feeling rather awkward.
He snickered a bit at Oya's attempt at a parrot's squawk. "Not too bad," he said, though he was being generous. The imitation wasn't that great, but it was kind of amusing that he had tried. He grinned at the mention of his own "skills". He'd love to think he had skills at something, at least, even if it was only attracting other ducks.
"Hey, you want to get something to eat?" He perked up at his own suggestion, as if it was just the thing he had been looking for to fill the day.

The colorful fox tilted his head and grinned. He had never really practiced it so he knew Ana was being nice but was alright. Still made him grin.
Oya grinned at the mention of food and his fluffy colorful tail wagged slightly. "Food? Now theres something I can get behind," The fox got up slowly stretching his joints. "Now the big question of the day... where's the kitchen?" He scratched his head."And what should we eat?"

The canine couldn't hold back a smile at Oya's obvious pleasure. He was such an enthusiastic person to be around, and he was finding it rather contagious. He'd been in something of a funk for the past week or so, but he could sense that that wouldn't last long if he continued to hang around his new, fellow bird-colored companion.
"The kitchen?" Craning his neck around, he peered through a doorway at the back of the room. "I think it's somewhere down there..." He waved vaguely, standing alongside the other. He made a point of leaning down to turn off both the Wii and the TV before they left. Adalrico would likely yell at him if he left them on when no one was playing them.'
"As for cuisine..." Anas grinned, "I'm kind of feeling the burger vibe right now, how 'bout you?"

"I kinda of wanted crackers," Oya joked chuckling at his own since of humor, " Burgers were what I wanted too," His tone shifted to a more assuring tone. Really a burger sound amazing right than and there. Oya thought of how he would have his burger, pepper jack cheese and hot sauce sounded really good. Spicy foods were tastey even though Oya tended to end up drinking alot of water it was worth it.
The fox started down the hall way his new found friend pointed down. Not really sure where the kitchen was but still sniffing the air for any scent of food cooking or even food in general.
Turning back to Anas he smiled walking back wards now not paying attention to where he was headed, " Its this way than? "

Snorting at Oya's suggestion of crackers, he began to ponder his own burger options as he walked. He was more of a simple diner, and was probably only going to have a cheeseburger with a bit of ketchup. Anas licked his lips at the thought, having not eaten yet today. This should definitely be delicious, and the company was good too. The perfect recipe for a meal!
The mallard-colored dog raised an eyebrow at the others' backwards walking, seeing disaster brewing in the carelessness. He didn't point it out though, not entirely minding a bit of chaos every once in a while. "Yeah, I think so," he said with a nod, as the scent of burnt popcorn his his nose, causing it to wrinkle.
