Acheron had gone off down toward the sea to visit his family for a few days but she decided she couldn't wait that long for him to get back to tell him the news. So instead she'd headed down toward the beach on her own. Maybe, if she was lucky, she could catch him on the way back and then she wouldn't have to tell him in front of his family.
She should at least be nice enough to give him a bit to absorb it himself before his family had to do so.
Trotting along she smiled as she saw the cliffs on the horizon. That meant that she wasn't far. Acheron was around here somewhere hopefully.

He had left her side only after promising that he wouldn't be gone long... At least, not as long as he had the last time they'd parted. Amazing, really, how close two could become in a few days that didn't seem nearly as long as they had been. He hadn't wanted to leave her side but he didn't want his mother to worry when he didn't come back as often either.
The day found him out by the sea, waves splashing up against his legs. He had been talking with his sister until she'd run off to do goodness knows what... The sea scene was just too beautiful to walk away from yet.

She trotted down the cliff face carefully and onto the sand. It was still odd feeling to walk around down there but she'd get used to it. She had a feeling she'd be coming to visit more often than before now.
Heading down the beach she kept an eye out and smiled when she saw a familier form on the edge of the water. "Acheron!"

He turned his head towards the sound of his name being called, brow lofting slightly as he saw who it was. He couldn't help but laugh as he turned, making his way out of the surf and up onto the dryer part of the sands. "What brings you here?"

"I had something important to tell you and decided it couldn't wait." She smiled brightly as she leaned over to nuzzle him gently. "And i think you'll agree that it was good i didn't wait when i tell you"

He closed his eyes as he returned the nuzzle, running his cheek slowly down along her neck. Something about her smelled differently... "Good news, I hope... Nothing bad?"

"Wonderful news." She smiled and leaned up to n** at one of his ears gently. "You're going to be a papa."
She'd let that sink into his head for a moment. Hopefully he'd be as happy as she was about it. Then, since he was already here, He could tell his family too.

He heard her words spoken into his ear but wasn't all that sure whether they were right. "I..." He blinked as he took a step back so that he could actually see her. She... "You..." He blinked once more, shaking his head in an attempt to clear it. "... We... Are...?"

"Yes, we are." She smiled as he looked at her. "Means you have more news to tell your family huh?" She laughed softly. "You're happy right? I mean i am ... i ... it's amazing, i get to be a mother and i get to share it with you"

"More news for me?" His brow lofted as he shook his head, stepping up so that he could gently drape a wing over her. "No, not more news for me... Us, maybe, but not just me. It was terrible enough trying to figure out how to tell my mother something that I think she already knew. Mothers are incredible like that, you know.. Have you felt yourself develop any magic powers like that yet?"

"Alright, we have news to tell your family." She laughed. "No, i can't say i have. But maybe it's something you develop after you've had children." Which would give her some time to develop those sorts of things. Her own mother had given her that look like she'd expected the news when she'd told her.

He leaned closer to her, brushing his cheek gently against hers in a tender nuzzle before pulling back. "I suppose we should go track them down then, don't you? Unless you would like to talk between you and I before we do so..."
A father. Him. He really wasn't sure that he'd make a good one but it was a bit late to think about that, really. Foals were on the way and there was no stopping things like that once they'd happened. It was just one more step; one he hadn't expected to come so soon, but a step anyways. It was a risk they'd taken...
Ready or not, he was at least glad that it made her smile as brightly as she was.

She was over joyed at the idea of being a mother. It was a bit sooner than she'd thought would happen but she would be able to handle it. She had Acheron with her and his family. She knew his mother would be glad to help just as much as her own mother would.

He nodded slowly. "I am sure that my mother will have lots of advice for us..." He was also pretty sure that she would be overjoyed that he'd told her before the foals were even born, rather than waiting until one of them was grown enough to find the sea on his own as the elder sister he'd never met before had done.

"I think i do. It's not all that far from here." She nodded. "Oh, and when we get done with your family ... my mother wanted to see you again. She wanted to congratulate you too." Hopefully they could make the treck back before she got too fat to wander that far.
"Do you think your mother will be happy? And not scold you for it or anything?" She hoped Uhane wouldn't hold it against her son that they were having foals so soon.
