Tukukudo lifted the cover to the Dawn's underground fortress, and pulled himself out of the tunnel surrounding the ladder that led downward. He immediately drew matte black Falcon 2, attached the silencer, and loaded a clip of bullets. He then relished a fresh breath, and felt that his rib wasn't clicking any more. Must have healed. Finally!

Tukukudo gives Varux a withering look, and whispers, almost inaudibly, "Shhh, keep it down! We're heading south to the mountains to get some metals, and then we're coming straight back to chop down a tree or two for wood. This isn't a fight mission, we're going for supplies and recon. And just between you and me, I'm not the type who enjoys taking bullets, so let's keep her real shushed, ok?" He came across as very worried.
He then unexpectedly broke into a sprint, ran in the general direction south, and without warning spread his spirit wings, which materialized when he wanted them, and started flying HIGH. High enough to break the cloud barrier. He knew Varux had wings too, and wondered if he could keep up. Probably, since he's had his far longer than I mine. Hmm, but it's been about two months, and I've practiced. With that though Tukukudo holsered his gun, for aerodynamics, and sped up into power flight.

Tukukudo accelerated to eighty miles an hour, then went into soaring flight to conserve energy. He looked back at Varux gaining on him quickly, made a hand symbol to slow down. His wings suddenly rotated to slow him down immediately, then he bomb dived to the ground.

Tukukudo drew his gun and waved to Varux to follow as he darted for the entrace of a cave.

Tukukudo whispered when he saw Varux safely in the cave, "I don't know if they have scouts or snipers like you, so let's make quick work of this." He then reached into the pack that was on his stomach for flight, and pulled out two chisels. Handing one to Varux, he started to chip away at the cave inside in search of some iron.

"Yes, but what Connar says goes. No matter how strong we are now, we're not invulnerable. His turret idea was a good one. Personally, I'm hoping that the Dawn will eventually be strong enough to come out in full force and cause some serious mayhem among the the Ninja and Arch Ninja. Actually, we're kinda near to the Arch Ninja, what do you say we cause a little arial sabotage?" Tukukudo said. He worked with his hands a little, then grabbed a good sized chunk of raw iron out of the side of the cave. Suddenly he flinched, then whipped out his gun and aimed at the cave entrace. "Hear that?'' he whispered.

Tukukudo fired. The sound would have been deafening to full blood humans, but it was simply very, very loud to the two in the cave. Edging forward, but not hearing anything to suggest that he had missed his mark, he fired twice more to be on the safe side. When he reached the entrance, Tukukudo saw he had hit the intruder: a jackrabbit. "Oh good. I was worried we would have to leave all this metal here!"
Gathering up their precious harvest, Tukukudo shouldered a pack, then spread his wings, and took off into the dark, pregnant sky. "Be careful for lightning, Varux. We'll dump the metal off back home, they can assemble it. Then we'll cut up a bit of wood, and then we can have fun with-- which faction should we tick?"
