Hi y'all, decided to get my a** into gear and get a decent guitar for once seeing that none of my guitars are very conducive for learning metal tricks and all... xp

Tossing up between an Ibanez SV5470 or one of the Schecter C-1 FR variants.

Anyone tried the Schecters or have any strong opinions for/against buying them? The reviews over at Harmony Central seem pretty positive, stating that they're substantially underpriced.

Thanks in advance!

I have had two schecters both of which were amazing to play, I now own 1 which was my first electric guitar, they are solid and play well and sound good I would go for the Schecter without a doubt

I don't own either but I played a schecter at the store once because it was the only thing remotely close to my guitar at home and it felt AWESOME. The only reason I don't buy one is because I don't care for the look, but between the two schecter is my vote.

from my experience, schecters are very good guitars. they have excellent tone and they're good quality.

Schecters can vary in quality, but I generally like 'em.
However, that looks like a sweet Ibanez. I want.
