Jabari gazed along the border of what used to be the Prideland pride. How quickly a pride could fall apart if something small happened. That’s what happened to his family’ pack. He knew that his mother had to be around here somewhere but he had little luck in finding either her or his father. The rest of the pack was nowhere to be seen either. Where had they gone to? Could they have found a new den site and was there or did everyone just loose each other and were now trying to regroup. If that was the case then the logical place to regroup would be here but he saw no one.
Sighing loudly, he let his body slide down to the ground. First his family broke up and then he looses his sister whom he was following for a while. Why did bad luck away seem to follow him? Was it his coat or was it something else? Whatever the reason he wanted his bad luck streak to end and his new good luck streak to start. Maybe it might start if he found himself a mate, which was turning out to be as unlucky as the rest of his life. “Why me,” he muttered to himself, knowing that no one might answer him. Rolling over onto his back, he watched the clouds roll by, not really caring who wander by him at that very moment.

If there was one attractive aspect to traveling alone it was that she could go at her own speed. She could rest when she liked to, when she liked to and didn't have to listen to the constant whining and complaining of her brothers and sisters. As it was, however, Baridi would have much rather preferred some company, regardless of the type or the source, to being lonely.
Being lonely was so very boring and, while she had run into a couple of strangers within the past few weeks, none of them had seemed particularly interested in getting to know her. They'd all had their own agendas and places to be. Unlike her.
When she'd first started out, her only goal had been to find her family. Days and nights of searching had turned up negative and, while a part of her continued to dream of the day she'd be reunited with her mother and father, another, much more realistic part of Bari insisted that she ought to try and get on with her life. She was lost. It was something she just had to come to grips with.
And, she had. Slowly. Her sudden increase of size and strength had helped her recognize the fact that she was homeless, regardless of the life she'd always imagined she'd have by now. Loneliness was something she'd grown accustomed to.
The adolescent girl wandered farther than she'd ever wandered before, and froze when the wind carried an unfamiliar voice to her ears. She squinted at the form of the other wild dog, who was sprawled on the ground just a little ways ahead of her, and wondered if he might be friend or foe.

[Sorry about the delay and the short post. X.X]
Jabari was unaware that another one of his kin had come across him. He continued to stare up at the sky. He had wanted to start a family of his own, but at the same time he wanted to rejoin his family pack. He was growing homesick, even though the pack never had a perminent pack grounds. Was it because he was used to being around many of his own kin? Or was it because he had many siblings that he could talk to? Whatever the reason he was beginning to feel lonely-more lonely than he had in a long time.
Blinking his eyes a few times he had a feeling that he was being watched. Slowly, he turned over onto his belly and gazed around until he spotted a femme in the distance. Curious, he stood up and slowly began to wander towards her. Maybe this was Fate bringing them together or was it luck that had brought this unknown wild dog to him?

There was a fine line between luck and fate. If asked about them, Baridi never knew what to say. She liked the laws of order and predictability, but did not like to entertain the thought that her entire life was planned out, according to some the ideals of some divine power, before she was even born. In all sorts of ways, it was far more important that she be able to make her own decisions.
If she could help it, nothing ever happened if it was out of her comfort zone. Her comfort zone was a prude who didn't particularly like adventures or the mysteries of the unknown. She liked what she knew and, while she may not have known a lot, Bari had always assumed she knew enough.
When the male got up and started in her direction she didn't move. His body language gave away no signs of aggression and so, under the sudden impression that he was as kind and as friendly as she was, Bari flashed a brilliant smile in his direction.
"Hello. Nice day, don't you think?"
