jsut wondering why katara would be huggin zuko in the first place....

and there's alot of scenes with jsut those two....

People have focused on smaller things with much greater attention.

And actually I'm really surprised by the lack of attention its been getting. Remember when the Season 3 (first half) trailer was released and it showed Zuko and Mai? All that week a day didn't go by where there wasn't some sort of fanart or comic on DeviantArt about people caroling "the fall of Zutara" on the front page.
After the hug scene, this thread has been about the most I've seen discussed about it.

Yeah, I only read YouTube comments when I'm itching for a highly potent dose of internet transmitted AIDS.

People haven't really been discussing this hug much. The Kataangs deny it's going to happen and the Zutarians are focusing more on the ninja!Zutara that comes later in the trailer.

It's going to be interesting once we get the whole context of the scene.

Once that happens I think we're going to see some fireworks fly from one side or the other.

You kidding? Of course it's a big deal. People said all that crap of "Katara will never trust Zuko! She'll hate him forever! And she'll realize Aang's feelings for her." I wonder how many people choked on their words that day. The hug, again is a big deal in another way. For the sole fact that when Katara embraced him, Zuko wrapped his arms around her and looked perfectly content. Maiko, I can tolerate it more then I can Kataang, as it's been thrown in my face too many times by people who think they know the definition of "love."



If someone loved you, but you didn't feel that way, we'd live in a seriously royally ******** world. They assume Katara has to love Aang back. Uh no. It's like Mai and Zuko. She said she loves him, but he never said it. He cares for her, yes, they dated, yes. But she only knew the "past" Zuko. Not the one he is today.

Even when fighting off the guards, the guards ask; "What are you doing?" Mai responds with; "Saving the guy who DUMPED me." She loves Zuko, but only the person he used to be. And when facing up to Azula, she had the perfect answer. "I guess you don't know people as well as you think you do. I love Zuko, more then I fear you."

This comment was not only directed to Azula about herself [Mai], it was also about Zuko and how he changed into the person he really was mean't to be. And at this moment, Zuko had the upper hand over Azula, in an indirect sort of way, which had to of pissed Azula off even more.

The Zutarians focus on Katara and Zuko developing a realtionship together, be it romantic or friendship. Something Kataangers denied would ever happen since day one. But in the upcoming episodes we see them bonding and becoming close comrades. Which proved the point correct in being assumed when first made, and it got the Kataangers upset since they were proven wrong.
