was the name of the man who gave kenshin his first scar kiyosato because somone told me it was so thats where my name came from i just want to make sure its correct

I don't know what to tell you cuz I still haven't seen the manga or the OVAs. And I can't remember if someone else has talked about this before or not. And if someone has, I sure don't know which thread has that information. Sorry! sweatdrop

The first scar was done by Kiyosato Akira. Though Yami no Hitokiri already said '^^x ... The second one, though, was done by Yukishiro Tomoe before she died...

well when kenshin was fighting kiyosata-san, kiyosata-san gave him the first part of the scar. then when kenshin 'accidentally' killed yukishiro tomoe, she gave him the second part of the scar. if u watch the ova's, the first one shows it all and in the second one when kenshin dies under the cherry trees, kaoru moves away his hair and sees that his scar is gone meaning that the grudge has been settled and kenshin can now rest.
