Althought they're a touch on the expensive side, Takara's Encore collection defintely seem worth getting. They're re-releasing Skylynx, Omega Supreme and Metroplex.
I got Skylynx already and he's definitely worth it. The toy is solid. My father had the original and although there are some minor changes in paint aplications it's pretty much the same toy. The walking and rolling featur still work just as well as it did in the original release.

Thanks for the insight on Sky Lynx. I wanted to pick him up since he was one of the few Generation 1 Transformers I've been missing.

I'll probably pick up a Metroplex if I ever have that much money at once.
Hopefully they'll release an Encore Trypticon too.

Well in Tripticon's case, I have Gigastrom. He doesn't have everything Trip has, but I don't know if I need another giant Dino.

I hate double posting, but I got my Encore Omega today! He's so cool, my only gripe is the gave the tank eyes.

Encore Metroplex came today. I haven't completely taken him out of the box, but I forgot how small he was compared to my Brave Max.

I already have the original Metroplex and Omega Supreme. I am debating Encore Sky Lynx since I never had one of those.

I, or rather my dad, had all three, but they got broken by my brothers. I wanted to have them myself. I didn't know Met's guns fired missiles. I don't recall those being in the US version.
