~*Lezeal*~ Name: Lezeal Pronounced: Leh-Zeell Past: Lezeal was a nurtured Q'ntor by her mother and father. She was very close to her parents and never did anything wrong in their eyes. When her parents tragically died through a disease, she was left alone by herself. As she grew, she taught herself right from wrong. She is now trying to find her place in Jiron, not knowing where to go next in her life.
Personality: Calm, caring, slightly paranoid of things going to go wrong. She worries about the future and tries to cling to others to get the love she's wanted. A good listener and speaker, helping with problems for others, but not for herself.

Minor Characters
These aren't really minor characters, but they are more important ones to be mentioned here as the story goes. I'm gonna try to get customs of them all! whee Greve

Greve is a friend of Lezeal's from when she was a child. When the sickness passed over them, her mother told him to take care of her, and bring her to safety. He did just this, and ever since then he has been teaching, and protecting her from the things that have come their way. They both live together in a den underneth the ground, with just enough room for them and their food hoard. Fatalini
(picture soon)
Evil Q'ntor whom lives in the forest near Lezeal, Greve and Jar. She has no intention on letting the travelers live, so she fights to get the secret away from Lezeal, to use this to her own advantage. She sticks with a small pack of Q'ntors, who bow to her every whim. She's sneaky, tricky and ruthless, only wanting things for herself, to benefit her future. Her ultimate goal is to be noticed by the evil elders and be put side by side with them.

The sun was bright, gleaming through the clouds. The air was still, but the plants still seemed to whistle and speak as the grass swade from side to side. On top of a small hill, Lezeal was laying on her stomach, her legs scruntched in, almost like she was holding onto the ground. Her eyes were twitching with the bad dream she was witnessing, her claws digging into the soil. She whimpered and then was suddenly awoke in a startle to see that nothing was there. She looked around, feeling nervous and anxious.
"Oh my... What a dream I had... Terrible!" She shuttered, getting up from the ground. She felt the dirt between her claws.
"Another Disease? Another sickness? It can't be..." Lezeal felt a shiver go down her spine as she started down the hill, trying to get ahold of herself.

Jar-Jecht lapped at the silver water in the large pond near his home. He lived with a few of his closer old friends in one village. He pulled his head up, licking his lips. He peered out past the pond, seeing the many different mountain tops from afar.
"I wonder if my future is lying just behind those mountains..."
He turned and started to walk back to his village, feeling empty like usual. As he patted on his way home, watching his cold paws on the dirt.

Lezeal felt her fur stand on her back as she stood up and started to pace down the hill. She was still questioning her dream.
"How could there be another famine? I mean... We have control, there is no way our gaurdians will let us go into that again..." She thought, under her breath. She reached the bottom and began to walk down a small dirt path, the fields next to her filled with violet and blue flowers with yellow centers. She was confused at how Jrion could lose such beauty.
After walking along the path, she reached her den. It was a large grassy hill, but in the center, bottom of the hill, there was a small opening, almost like a hole. It was hidden between some brush, twigs and flowers. She peered over her shoulder before entering. After scruntching down on all four elbows and rustling through the dirt, she entered a large opening, a room hallowed out of the dirt and soil.
"Good afternoon, Lezeal. Nice to see you home early." Spoke an older male Q'ntor. His chin was beginning to grey and he looked scruffy, with a scar over his left eye. She smiled at him and bowed her head. "Evening, Greve." His main and coat was black as the night, with small hints of tan colorations around his paws and muzzle. He was using grass he gathered, along with small vines to make his bed clean and new looking.
Greve met Lezeal when the sickness blew through their home. They were separated, but he and the rest of his small community started a colony together in this underground den. This was Lezeal's only family.
~~~~
Jar-Jecht kept pacing through the gravel, keeping his head hung. He sighed and kept trudging until he reached his old, shabby home. The area was beautiful, filled with bright colored flowers and fruits, but there was a small stream next to his home that made him feel uneasy. Sure he could have drank from that stream, but the water was grey, filled with bugs and pieces of dead plants, which made it smell like mildew.
He did not smell this though, in his home. To the left of this disguisting water was a tall tree, with branches that reached for the sky through the rest of the forest he walked through. He paced up the side of the tree, where a spiral case lead to the very center of the tree, where all of the branches seemed to be born. In the middle, was flat, just as a stump would be. This was his bedroom, his home. He piled bushes and branches in different places of the tree, for which he would lay on. Every pile was different. One was just right for looking out at the mountains he so wished to travel. Another pile had an opening through the tree and branches where he looked down the path where he had just walked from. Lastly, the biggest pile of greens, his bed, had an opening at the top of the branches where he had a perfect frame of the stars.
Lezeal walked over to Greve and began to help him tidy his bed, as well as her own which was across the room from his. He looked up at her and tilted his head to the side. "Is there something wrong Lezeal?" He asked her, using the telepathy Q'ntors were all born with. She looked up at him quickly, then shook her head. "Not exactly."
"Not exactly?" he repeated. "Then that means that you are hiding something. You know you can't get past me that easily." Greve nudged, pushing her to sit on her bed. She fell back and plopped onto her butt, her hind legs sticking straight out. She looked up at him, then bit her lip, trying to remember her horrible dream.
"Well... I had a dream." she started. "It was a dream of something very bad... I couldn't really even watch. It was a dream that there was another sickness going to happen, and it seemed very soon." Greve's eyes widened and he too, sat near her. "You are not telling a lie, are you Lezeal?" She shook her head. "Oh no, of course not!" He peered at her again, then stood, trotting to the front of the den.
"Lezeal, we need to leave. Come with me." He ordered, his personality changing in an instant. She was slightly startled, standing up and looking past in the back of the den, seeing all of their gathered fruits and meats, wondering if they will spoil. "Hurry!" he yelled, grabbing her by the skin on her neck with his teeth and pushing her out the opening.
She yelped, but more of in fear than pain. "What has gotten over you?!" She exclaimed, following him down the gravel road. He kept his head straight and answered, "This is very serious Lezeal. You are unaware that your mother had the same dream just before the other plague happened, and it, as you know, took hers, and many others lives."
~~~~
The sun pierced through the thick leaves in Jar-Jechts tree, pushing against his eye lids. He opened his eyes and yawned, standing and stretching his claws out, digging them into the bark. He shook his mane and paced over to one of the piles of leaves that faced out into the open, towards the mountains. "Another lazy day, I guess." she whispered to himself as he slumped into the pile, scattering them around. He sighed and followed his paws, but just as he was about to rest his chin, he saw two Q'ntors running down the path, going towards the mountains. There was a black male in front, and a beautiful pink and tan female in the rear. Jar's eyes widened as he couldn't take his eyes off of the female. "Where could they be going in such a hurry?" he asked himself. He felt the urge in his paws to stand and follow them. So he jumped to his feet and galloped down the path of his tree, jumping down onto the gravel to catch up to them.
The wind started to push against his face as he ran as fast as he could to catch up to the Q'ntors. They looked distressed, and in all Q'ntors, they have a keen sense in knowing things before they happen, along with feelings and emotions of one another. The two travelers were just dots in the horizon as he kept his legs moving, even if they were tired from the hunger rumbling in his stomach. Suddenly, the travelers stopped and turned back at him, like something was terribly wrong.
Jar kept running at them, as the black Q'ntor stepped in front of the female, raising his head high in the air. The black Q'ntors thoughts rushed into Jar's head like a tidal wave. "HALT!" it screamed through his ears. "What is your business with following us?!" Just as it finsihed it's sentence, Jar stopped just a few yards away from them. The male looked threatening, his eye gleaming at young Jar. He couldn't help but pass the gaze of the males to meet with the females, scared, startled eyes.

Lezeal looked at the red and white Q'ntor, worried of what his intentions might be. She gazed at Greve as he stood tall, going to protect her through anything that happens. She ducked down as the Q'ntor stopped in front of them, bowing his head. He began to speak, but she couldn't hear him over her own thoughts in her head. She closed her eyes and focused.
~~~~
Blue means they interact together.
Jar-jecht bowed his head to Greve, almost fearing his great stance. He looked back up and began, "I'm sorry to interdue, but I felt a disterbing presence and I came to see what was wrong." Greve barred his teeth and shook his mane. "There is no disterbance here. We're on our way over the mountains, that is all. Now be gone young one, there is business to be settled here and it cannot wait." Greve began to turn around, but Jar's eyes lit up. "Please!" He excalimed, "Please allow me to come with you... I have always wished of traveling over the mountains again. I know that route and-" "That is enough!" Greve growled, turning back at him as he walked to Lezeal, her eyes still glazed over. "We are traveling our own way, through the forest and to the mountains, as every other Q'ntor knows." Greve explained. It was a popular route and it was the fastest.
Jar-jecht felt a presence fall over him of fear, and the fur on his back raised slightly. Lezeal felt this too when she looked into his eyes, not being able to look away. "Elder, please... You cannot go that way, for much danger lies in that forest. Let me escourt you through the west, where there is much harsh weather but-" He was cut off again by the tremendous roar of Greve's patience being at it's limit. He turned at Jar and snorted, his teeth barred once again. "I do not wish to travel your ways Rogue, this is very important!"
"Stop!" Lezeal squeeled, her temper being raised at Greve's stubborness. Jar looked at her and was almost impressed, a young beautiful Q'ntor sticking up for herself. She looked so helpless. "Greve, maybe we should listen to the traveler. He said he knows the way, and we haven't been down this road for a long time. Things have changed... And you know this." Greve sucked his teeth back in his lips and turned to her, explaining as calmly as he could. "Lezeal, we need to make haste. If there is any danger, I'm sure that we can handle it. Now no more discussion, lets move." He tapped his nose against her cheek, making her turn towards the forest. She felt the dark sense of the woods over her fur as she continued on, not feeling safe. She wanted to speak, but her fear wouldn't let her. Instead, she turned her head back at the traveler, seeing him sitting in one spot in amazment. She bowed her head and sent him a silent, "I'm sorry." under her breath, turning back to face her danger full face ahead.
Jar couldn't help but feel his stomach drop, as he knew for a fact that there was going to be danger the way the two travelers were going. He picked up his head, wanting to run off towards them again, but felt the gravel on the ground suck him in, almost as if he was made of stone. He was scared to save them, but why? He wanted to with a passion.
>>>>
Lezeal kept her head down, even as they entered the thick brush of woods. The trees grew way up into the sky, the branches spreading so far as to connect with other trees, cutting off the sky from their eyes. She looked up finally as it got too dark to notice where she was going. The forest wasn't this dark, last she remembered. Greve was ahead of her, stepping over the large roots that were made from the towering trees. There was no noise at all of birds or wild life; the trees just listened to their conversations. Lezeal squeeled under her breath, getting more scared as they went on, "Greve... I really do not feel that this is the right thing to do. Please, can we go back? We can go the other way the traveler said we could go." She pleaded, surprised that he was letting her finish her sentences. Greve stopped and peered into the darkness, as if he saw something that she couldn't. And he did.
"Quiet..." Greve whispered, using his tail to lower her to the ground on all fours, as he did the same. He poked his ears up and held his breath, listening.... Suddenly, there was a small snickering noise from above them. Lezeal looked up at once, just as Greve whooshed his head around to keep her from moving. The snicker grew louder, now into a laugh. Lezeal swallowed hard as her terrified eyes met with glowing yellow eyes, upside down above her. She shrieked and pulled away from Greve, about to run the opposite way. "Lezeal, No!" He shouted as he stood up, now hearing an uproar of laughter all around the woods. Lezeal ran, but tripped over a large root, falling straight onto her face. She whimpered and stood, looking face to face with an evil glare. "Hello, little one." If whispered, the teeth of the Q'ntor brightening the woods, it seemed. The voice was wicked, with a feminin touch that almost soothed you. Lezeal opened her eyes wide, getting the whole picture into focus now. Greve roared and pulled Lezeal away, into a patch of sunlight that he had found between two trees. Greve barred his teeth as he saw the woman step out of the darkness, her paws large with thick black claws. She chuckled again, loving the two's experession on their faces.
"Welcome to my humble abode," she welcomed, bowing her head. "Its so nice of you to join me." Greve snorted and demanded, "Why are you here? What is your purpose being in our lands?"
"YOUR lands?" She hissed, her sarcastic tone going right away. She stepped closer, and puffed out her chest. Her fur was a bright green, with hints of yellow near her paws and chest. Her mane was long and silky, with black stripes going through it, among a deeper color of green. "We were banished to a place where no one sought fit, and this is where we were sent. Most of us traveled past here to the barrens, but we have been placed here fairly. You, good Q'ntor... Are ravenging on our territory now." As she grinned, more Q'ntors came from behind her. They had wicked stares and cackling smiles, all as if they were starving hyenas. Males and females alike, they all looked as if they needed a haircut and a bath.
Greve stood his ground and lowered his head. "We just wish to pass peacefully, no matter for us to fight." he said calmly, but his proposal didn't go over well. She laughed at him, then her yellow and orange eyes gleamed with pleasure. "You are a fool for being so old. Have you forgotten our anciestories? We can feel what others are thinking..." She turned from Greve to look into Lezeals eyes. "And for once... I feel something is in this younger one, that needs to be said..."
Lezeal stepped backwards, looking into the evil Q'ntors eyes. She was terrifed out of her mind. Her back paws felt warm against another furry mass, and as she turned around, there was a dark purple Q'ntor, with his mane so ravaged that it almost looked like a lion. He was barring his teeth in a menacing glare, chuckling under his breath. "You're a cute little one you are," he told Lezeal, now walking towards her. She was cornered, as as she started to panic, Greve let out a loud roar.
Both Q'ntors turned to him, and he was standing on his hind legs, almost as if he was trying to make his call travel farther. "Leave her alone! If you are going to start a battle, I am the one to go through first." He challenged, going back to his normal stance. The female Q'ntor laughed, shaking her head and getting into a battle stance. "Then if a life has to be sacrificed for this information, then it shall!" She lunged forward towards Greve and batted him across the face with her large paw. He returned the favor in smashing his head against hers, a cracking noise almost echoeing through the forest. They both growled, snarled, slashed and bit at one another, one on one. The other Q'ntors were yelled and slapping their tails on the ground, almost rallying the fight to keep going.
Greve jumped backwards and opened his mouth wide, a small light starting to appear inside of it. The female did the same, except hers was black as the night. Their charge rays were getting larger, and then they both let loose their energy at one another, creating a large bang, tearing away at the brush and leaves that were around them. As the cloud of dust faded, they both stood still, panting and catching their breath. Greve was bleeding from his face, the blood soaking into his chin. The female was also bleeding, but near her chest. She then stood tall, and called out, "Ambush him!" Greve was caught off guard by the five or so Q'ntors that leapt past the trees, digging their claws and teeth into his fur. Greve cried out in pain, and fought off as many as he could by kicking them in the face, or throwing them over his shoulder. He was a solider, for how old he really was.
Lezeal gazed at the battle, gritting her teeth. She was panicing and she had no idea what to do. When she tried to help Greve, she was quickly kicked in the stomach, knocking the air out of her and smashing her into a rock near a tree. She couldn't do this on her own, she didn't know how to fight like this. Finally, she used the only thing she knew would stop them.
"SILENCE! PLEASE STOP! I WILL TELL YOU THE INFORMATION!!!" she screamed at the evil female. All of them grew silent and pulled away from Greve. He was wounded badly, laying on his side and panting heavily. Lezeal looked around, and began to speak, "Please... I will tell you the information if you spare him his life..." She continued, "The sickness, the plague is on it's way of happening again. My mother had a dream just as I did before the first sickness hit us all. We're going to warn the elders to evacuate the area, since we have no way of knowing WHAT this sickness is, and how it will hit..." The Q'ntors looked at one another in surprise. The evil female paced over to her, in a slight limp. "You speak the truth child?" Lezeal was confused at why everyone seemed to referee her to a child. She was around older Q'ntors indeed, but she was no child. "Yes... Yes, it is. I speak nothing but it. Now please, let us free to go." Greve turned from his side onto his back and coughed, "Lezeal, you fool! Why did you tell them?!" The evil female was silent at first, but then she gave Lezeal a warm smile, as if she was going to let her go. Suddenly, she retracted her claws out and pushed her paw against Lezeal's neck, squeezing hard. Lezeal cried out, choking now from the imense power. She tried to scratch at her paw, but it was no use. "There is no more use for you anymore, young one... And I thank you for the heads up." The female threw her to the floor, and stepped back onto her neck. She laughed out as she was about to crush her neck one more time, but suddenly she felt a warm sensation on her side, then a splitting feeling under her fur. The female flew to the floor and roared out in pain. Lezeal coughed and turned over, looking at the bloody fur of the female. Lezeal looked up, and saw the traveling red Q'ntor that she saw before. She was shocked, and felt a load of relief when he looked down at her and smiled. "You're ok now... Don't worry."
The female stood up, but she was very dizzy, stumbling on her feet. She looked up at him and growled, "Jar-jecht!!" she screamed, "This is none of your business!" Jar stood tall and roared back at the female, "My good woman, this is something of my business, when you are dealing with the daughter of Soaron." Lezeal's eyes grew bright with tears. 'My mother?!' she thought. 'How does he-?' The female panted and looked towards her comrades, then back at Jar. "Fatalini," Jar called her, "If you do not back down now, I will be forced to not let you out of my reach this time." Jar-jecht threatened her, standing over Lezeal. Fatalini pounded the floor, and called to her followers, "Stop this battle... We will leave that one to die of his wounds."
