RULES AND GUIDELINES
The following rules MUST be obeyed by the relevant parties who appear here-in.
The following rules MUST be obeyed by the relevant parties who appear here-in.
It has come to my attention that the rules I have set up are myriad and scattered hither and fro. That changes with this Sticky, in which all rules for all possible Gaians herein will be laid out clearly, in one place.
You will notice, however, that the rules applying to specific areas of the guild are displayed where applicable. Consider these your TERMS OF SERVICE for this guild.
I, the Embassy Organizer,
TOURISTS (NON-MEMBERS)
If you are listed as a NON-MEMBER in the MemberList, you immediately fall in this category. Here are your guidelines, to be kept in mind while browsing our forums, battling in our Warzone, or Lurking about.
RESPECT I expect that all of the people who are listed as MEMBERS in the MemberList to be treated with the respect and dignity that I have chosen them for. You will not demean, insult, belittle the points made by, or threaten our Members (in RP, we call them "Ambassadors").
DIGNITY You will not flame, cuss, allude to rude ideas, or instigate with or about anyone, anything, or anywhere (listed just to eliminate loopholes, if there were any). If you are posting in here, you must consider it a privelage. It would be... tactically unwise for you to gain any sort of "reputation" in this guild, as those are not taken as comical breaks, but displays of ignorance and rudeness.
WARZONE CONDUCT If you are a NON-MEMBER in this guild, odds are you are here to "get the lead out". I ask that while you enjoy yourself in the Warzone, you keep language, rudeness, hostility, and OOC posts to an extreme minimum. If you wish to just post any old thing, take it to the Guest Foyer. When In-RP, do not forget to NOT GOD-MOD. If you do not know what God-Modding is, here is a quick list of things a God-Modder might do. Avoid these actions and anything else similar to them:
-Cannot be hit. He always RP's an escape.
-Always kills/hits enemy. He has a 100% accuracey rating.
-Kills a rediculous number of enemies. Perhaps with a DoomsDay weapon.
-Somehow knows things that other Characters haven't told him. He is Omniprescent.
-Has no or irrelevant weaknesses. "Killed only by the Spaghetti Monster" is not a weakness, folks.
Basically, if most everyone in the Guild is yelling at you or telling you to stop, you have probably God-Modded.
PECKING ORDER If an Ambassador asks you to do something, please do so. If you find that request disagreeable, contact one of our CREW members (in RP, we call them "Chancellors"). Failing that, you may reach me directly. I would prefer that you speak with the lowest available authority first, though.
PUNISHMENT Failure to follow these rules will result in your being BANNED FROM PUBLIC POSTING. To be clear, that means that as far as you are concerned, this guild just became PRIVATE.

I, the Embassy Organizer,
AMBASSADORS (MEMBERS)
If you are listed as MEMBER in the Memberlist, you should be an Ambassador. If you are not, or are without a home-guild to represent, please speak with me on this subject.
RESPONSIBILITY As an Ambassador, it is your duty to ensure that the guild from which you hail is represented properly in this Embassy. This includes keeping your Office up-to-date and accurate (never forgetting the power of aesthetics, of course), being sure to place your Home-guild's name and your "Ambassador" status at the beginning of every post you make, and keeping in well-developed contact with your Guild Captain, should he/she be an individual other than yourself. You must present all grievances, wishes, praises, and questions that your Home-Guild has in the Embassy Auditorium, our RP-section. If the Tourists from your guild need information or someone to show them around the guild a bit, this also falls within your jurisdiction. Be mindful, though, that they are not allowed to post in the Main Embassy Chamber, the Embassy Offices, or the Developing Nations-- the latter of which they may do so, but only with Chancellor (CREW) permission.
RESPECT You are to show dignified respect towards any and all tourists. Absolutely minimal cursing, preferably none at all. Volatile cursing (4-letter words and the like) are not tolerated at all: instant warning, no exceptions. You must abide by the wishes of myself and the Chancellors (CREW) of this guild, and present any hardships you are having with another Ambassador to one of us: we will deal with them ourselves. Common courtesy is the law by which you are to abide, and remember always that you may hold your tongue (and are expected to) if a member is infuriating you. Again, bring this trouble or worry to a Chancellor or myself.
DELEGATIONS You are an Ambassador for one main reason: to present the troubles, plans, and questions of your Home-Guild to the rest of the Embassy, so that we may resolve them to the very best of our abilities. This is all done inside the Main Embassy Chamber, specifically the Auditorium. OOC (Out-Of-Character) Posts are to be kept to a bare minimum, preferably none at all. We expect your best prose, manners, and well-developed ideas to be present here, as you are giving the rest of us a snapshot of your guild through your own actions, whether you intend it or not. One idea may be presented In-RP at a time, to eliminate the confusing multiple-conversations that might arise. I, your Organizer, will do my very best to facilitate and mediate these discussions, and urge you all to not create a situation in which I am forced to act.
WARZONE CONDUCT Yes, you are allowed to partake in the battles set up within the Main Embassy Chamber. However, you are asked to do so in a distatched manner, always returning to your core duties with vigor and polite manners. "Leave it on the Field" cannot be stressed enough here. I will evaluate the first battle, to see if Ambassadors get "perks" by default, though this may not be the case.
PECKING ORDER This should be straightforward enough. You have sway and influence, preferably garnered through admirable behavior, over the Tourists from your Home-Guild. In turn, you are expected to follow the orders of your Chancellors to the letter unless it is, in a technical sense, impossible. If you have problems with their orders, you are asked to consult a different Chancellor; failing that, contact me directly.
PUNISHMENT In this guild, you are held to an extremely high standard. You are an Ambassador mostly because you have been presented by your peers as level-headed, fair, and calm. As such, I expect run-ins with these rules to be minimal. Building from that, you are allowed a maximum of TWO WARNINGS, and at the third flounder you will be BANNED. At that stage, you are effectively a Tourist. Myself and the Chancellors will dispense these Warnings, and keep track of them in the Roster.
~~IMPORTANT~~ You can remove your warnings by performing admirably and politely for two consecutive weeks. After this is done, ONE warning will be removed from your count. This means that if you are pushing your luck and are in possession of TWO warnings, it will take you Four Weeks to be back to neutral.

I, the Embassy Organizer,
CHANCELLORS (CREW)
If you are listed as CREW in the MemberLogs, you hold the esteemed rank of "Chancellor", and hold some of the most responsibility within the guild.
FAIRNESS Under no circumstance, in no situation, and after no argument, are you to prefer or deter from one Guild or another. Being a Chancellor means siding with no one, being everyone's advocate, and distilling arguments with efficiencey. You are expected to never curse (ever, no allowances or leniancey for Chancellors, which is unlike the Ambassadors). Also forbidden is ignoring anyone, and ignoring any hostile post. You are expected to edit the post (placing a "CODE" box in the bottom with the simple phrase, "Edited by _____ for excessive cursing", or whatever the reason may have been) and then dispense a Warning, both in the Thread it happened and also as a PM to the violator.
RESPONSIBILITY This entire Guild is open to you. As such, you are expected to patrol it regularly (once-daily is sufficient, unless we get extremely active: step it up in that case, please) and update any out-of-date information, announcing when you did so. You are to place URGENT ANNOUNCEMENTS up as well, following the pre-ordained format I have provided. Monitoring the Warzone (more on this later), touching up Gramattical errors in Offices, and keeping the peace in the Embassy Auditorium are all your duties as well.
MODERATOR POWERS The banning of any Ambassador is to be adjourned upon by all available Chancellors. If only one is available and that member clearly needs some "time to think", said Ambassador is to be banned until another Chancellor can come online to assess the situation as well. The promotion of any Ambassador into the ranks of Chancellor must be unanimous amonsts all current Chacnellors, as well as sancitoned and passed by myself, exclusively.
WARZONE CONDUCT Simply put, you are not allowed to engage in battle within the Warzone, neither as a Neutral Party or under any Guild's banner (even this one's). How fair would it be if someone with Moderator Powers decided to help one guild in its battle? Not very, and so you will abstsain from combat within here.
~~HOWEVER~~ If this Guild's militia is ever called into action, you will each have Tactical Command of a force of conglomerate members from many of our Represented Guilds. This will be a rare occasion, though, as it is the cover for actually implementing real changes in both this guild and a Represented Guild.
PUNISHMENT You are held to the highest standards, bar none. As such, you are allowed ONLY ONE WARNING, and at the next transgression you will be demoted. Your "cooldown" on warnings is four weeks, or about one month. Do not dissappoint me, Chancellors. I am counting on you to set the correct example for everyone else in here.

MY OWN SELF-IMPOSED STANDARDS
STANDARDS I am your Embassy_Organizer, the acting Captain of this guild. As such, I hold myself to extreme standards of conduct, fairness, and omniscence. If, at any time, you have a grievance with my own personal performance, please let me know. This form of communication is to be displayed in both the Guild Feedback Topic on the Main Forum, as well as through Private Messages to myself. I am only Human: I make mistakes, but I would be fool to ignore corrections.
RIGHT-HAND MAN? You have noticed that I have not alluded to any Vice-Captain at all. This "Lieutennant Organizer", should I elect one, would have every capability that I have. To change and edit anyone's post, promote or demote/ban any member (except myself and themself), as well as change anything about this Guild's organization, structure, or ownership. They (Vice-Captains) posess powerful access clearances within any guild in which they have VC-status, and should always be chosen with care. As such, I will refrain from selecting an Lt.O until I can acquaint either another close comrade of mine with this guild, or until I see absolutely perfect and desirable qualities in a Chancellor. It is at my discretion, and solely my own, that an Lt.O will be promoted from Chancellor Status. They would, in effect, be my successor.
